Description of Work: cleared badly drain. | |On Feb 23 they were called to repair a 1/2"nipple that had given away over a bathtub that I had been able to mostly stop with a cap on a remaining thread. He also corrected a leak in the bathtub drain. A large amount of water went into the downstairs apartment. | |The work was done very quickly and well (I had the plumber also replace the nipple on the other line over the bathtub). I did think that the charge of $475.89 was way too high for the time the plumber was there.

Description of Work: I needed my new refrigerator hooked up to a water line. The contractor I hired to replace my floors stated he had a line installed and ready to go. The line wasn't hooked up to the water line. The plumber from Albert Nahman didn't want to use his line as he felt it could possibly leak. He installed a new line. The price was the same whether he used the original line or he installed a new one. I also asked him to snake my main line to the street. He decided to evaluate the line first by snaking a camera through. It didn't need to be snaked. He saved me several hundred dollars. It's nice to have an honest plumber!

Description of Work: The scheduling online was very convenient. They showed up when they said they would. They called ahead when they were 30 minutes out [at my request] so that I could meet them at the property. They found a cheaper solution repair than I was envisioning which was a pleasant surprise. The technician was courteous and knew their job. I would highly recommend them in the future.

Description of Work: Albert Nahman installed a new furnace and ducts. The job went very well. I had some concerns and they were quick to respond and do a walk through with me. They have assured me that their first priority is to make the customer happy.

Did a survey of all my plumbing jobs (there was a lot), gave me a preliminary estimate, and prioritized the list and let me know what needed attention and what I could defer. He was very thorough. As he went from job-to-job, he inspected his own work for any leaks. And before he had left, he did a final inspection. It was an all-day affair. Jose is the go-to guy. Highly recommend.

Description of Work: re-piped an existing fireplace log gas line to facilitate the future installation of a new fireplace insert. good work, but took a day longer (had to come back the next morning) because they were not prepared to cut and re-thread black iron pipe. not a problem in this case, but could have been in other circumstances.

Description of Work: I used Albert Nahman before in March 2014. It was smooth. This time, I scheduled to replace 3 sets of faucets. Appt was for 1-3pm. At 2.15pm, I called to find out that no one was coming until 4-4.30pm. On top of that, when I asked for a quote I was surprised by how expensive it is compared to other plumbers. I tried another plumber for 1/3 the price, and completed the job well. It made me realize that I was probably paying way too much on my March 2014 project too. Sometimes I don't mind paying more for convenience, but this is too expensive.

Description of Work: Had to buy a new dishwasher, but when installer came, he said the water line was not correct, so Mike from Nahman installed and new water line and then installed the new dishwasher. Mike was great! Prompt, professional, and just downright nice.

Description of Work: We needed to replace an old water heater so based on research, I asked Albert Nahman to provide a quote. Gabriel came in to provide an estimate (he was on-time and made some good suggestions). Based on their good reviews, competitive pricing and initial experience, I decided to move forward with them. Gabriel and Enrique came to install the heater (also on-time). The whole experience was very good. They were very professional, did the work that was agreed upon very well (Enrique also took the time to explain some things as the work progressed, did thorough testing for leaks and left room the way it was before.).
