Everything went very well. They were right on time and were very efficient and careful with my furniture. They really seemed to enjoy their work and were very pleasant during the entire move. They are a bit more expensive but I’d rather pay more and have a safe move with reliable people. I would definitely use them again.

I had poorly packed my books. They were way to heavy for the box structure. This was discovered on the morning of the move. The only solution they could come up with was to use the padded blankets to pile them in, fold up the blanket and carry them into the new house. Once at the new house, all I could do was unfold the blankets and one by one carry the books into where I needed to temporarily store them. There had to have been a better solution--like using their boxes--but they came with no resources.

This would be an A rating if one of the movers of the two-person moving crew wasn't (understandably) exhausted at the end of 8+ hours of hard work which resulted in big hardwood floor gouges and door damage. Front office is super great and totally organized. Crew were prompt, polite, and took measures to protect the house with pads and runners, etc. At the end though, one of the movers was completely, totally out of fuel and had issues getting a heavy object up the stairs. He set it down repeatedly, had to take several breaks because he was just completely exhausted (which is FINE, of course!), but then BANG dropped his end when he finally made it to the top of the stairs. Resulted in deep, long gouges in the hardwood floor, the kind you cannot hide...uggh. Then doorway trim of the room they shoved it into got WAY scratched up and partially torn off; they finally decided to fully remove the bedroom door in order to get the piece in, and when they put the door back on, it won't shut correctly (the latch bolt won't insert into the strike plate), which I didn't notice till they were gone (who wants to follow people around hovering over them? Not me). Also, a small antique cabinet ended up with really bad scratches all over its top...wow. :( Nothing is perfect when you move; expect some sort of drama. Something's gonna get broken or scratched...I just wish ours wasn't so MUCH deep scratching that we can't repair (and then not reassembling the door correctly). I was clear that we had big furniture when I scheduled; one of the movers was physically a-okay all day, but the other was not...at all. Maybe they should have suggested a longer break or SOMETHING...anything to avoid what happened with our doorway and floors with that last big heavy object.
