Rankin Electric

An election came out to the house to give an estimate on some electoral work. He stayed for about an hour and took several measurements. When he was done he said they would get right back to me with a written estimate, but is has been over a week and I have not heard a thing.

Daniel Garcia called when he was 20 minutes away. He did an excellent job. He showed me how he programmed in case I needed to reprogram it later. Great work, pleasant and professional. I also got a gift card for Dewars and look forward to using it. I am a convert. I will use Rankin Electric for all my electric needs. I'm.so pleased! I was happy to read their reviews on Angie's List. I'm thankful for their services.

They were very professional and helpful. We were afraid to call anyone thinking it would be very expensive. Our bathroom outlets as well as outlets in bedroom were not working. They came out and changed outlets that were working, in order to fix the ones that were not working. We never would have thought to change working outlets. That is where their knowledge and professionalism really came through. Thank you.

First time I called the owner answered. He handled my appointment and followed-up each time his employees went out to the site. I never felt left in the dark. They took care of all required permits and worked with the City to handle all the minutia that have given me headaches in the past. Randy Rankin is my go-to-guy from now on for all electrical matters.

If you need any form of electrical work, there is no better company in Bakersfield than Rankin. This was an A+++ experience from start to finish. Read on and I will explain.. I started out by requesting 4 companies listed here on Angie's List to contact me about running a 220 electric line in my home. Rankin contacted me the same day to set up a time and date to come give me an estimate. They were out 2 days later and showed up right on time for our appointment. Very inquisitive on what I was doing and what it was for so that Rankin could use their experience and ideas to get the job done correctly. In no time we figured out the job I wanted and I had an estimate. Within the upcoming week I got 3 other estimates, all from electrical companies listed on Angie's List and Rankin was considerably less than all other estimates. I made an appointment with Rankin and they gave me several options on when that appointment could be, to best serve me in a timely manor. I set up a Friday at 8am. Friday at 7:59am the doorbell rang and a Rankin employee was at my door. He introduced himself and explained the job he was here to do. I really liked the fact that he knew what he was here to do and did not need to ask me. This shows great communication among Rankin employees. Well that employee got right to work and in very swift order the line was ran and the job complete. He walked me threw the work he did and made sure I was satisfied before he started putting his tools away. He carried himself in a professional manner and was extremely clean. Even cleaned up the bit of mess that was made when he cut into my wall. Before leaving Rankin did something I have yet to have happen in all my household upgrades.... He thanked me for my business and told me he appreciated me allowing Rankin to do the job. Gave me a thank you card and a receipt, then headed out. To sum this up, the only electrical company I will use from now on is Rankin. They exceeded my expectations and I'm sure the will make you just as happy. If you need some work done, give them a call. I PROMISE YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED!!!!!

They had experience working with manufactured homes. They were on time and professional. I never felt like I was going to get ripped off on price or unneeded work. I would recommend for future work, was very pleased.

After joining Angie's list, I sent a message to Rankin Electric. This was on a week end. The first work day after the week end, Randy Rankin called to schedule an appointment. Daniel came to the house at the scheduled time and after explaining the problem to him, he started tracing the wiring to the non operating lights. The house is nearly 100 years old and 90% of the wiring is the original Knob & tube wiring. This type of wiring is difficult to trace, but Denial had the necessary tools to do the job. It appeared that the problem was in a small crawl space over the laundry room. The opening into the crawl space was to small for Daniel to get through. He called his office and scheduled to have a smaller man come back with him the next day. Both men returned the next day and proceeded to fix the problem. It turned out that the problem was not in the wiring, but in the circuit breaker. When testing the breaker enough pressure was put on the breaker to make contact and give a hot reading. Daniel removed the breaker to inspect it, and discovered that the breaker was arcing on the bus bar. Some times it worked and some times it didn't. Daniel replaced the breaker and the lights are working fine. There was on charge for the extra man on the second day. I worked as an election for over 40 years, but due to age and medical problems, I can no longer work from ladders or crawl around attics. Because of my electrical background I was able to judge the quality of work performed by Daniel. He is tops in my book and if I have a future need for an electrician, he will be my first choice. Excellent! I learned a lot about how the circuits in my house worked. Where they are located and which ones are related to each other. Thank you Kyle for explaining everything to me. I liked his attitude!

When they came in, they introduced themselves, and they made sure that they wore booties in the house so that they wouldn't get anything on your carpet. They were willing to do anything that you ask them to do. Sometimes when someone comes out and you change your mind, and you tell them, "Can you fix this for me?" or "Can you do this?" and they say, "I just don't know if I have time to do that." There was none of that. There was, "Sure. Whatever you want done, we are here to do it for you." We were quoted the price before they came. We knew that it was $65 an hour and whatever parts will be required. They were very, very thorough. They are just absolutely excellent. I would have thought that would cost us twice what it cost us including parts. They cleaned up their mess. They swept, dusted, and pulled down the cobwebs around stuff that we had them working on. When they left, it was cleaner than when they came. They will be the only one I will ever use.

Plenty of information with quotes. Lots of welcomed suggestions. Arrived on time quoted, and called ahead before arrival. Work was completed fast and professionally!

The repairman was on time, friendly and professional. I was not home at the time of the service, this was a bit uncomfortable since I had left my wife and 5 year old son alone to deal with this. I should not have worried. The repairman answered all of my son's questions and explained what he was doing. I was over whelmed with gratitude for this type of service. In this day and age where service is a dirty word it is wonderful to actually come in contact with a company that provides top shelf service. Thank you Rankin.

The repairman (Joe) was great. Got everything done quickly and very professional. Would definitely use again.

Daniel showed up on time and completed the work quickly. He replaced the bulbs with new, energy efficient bulbs.

Joby showed up on time. We went over the list of projects. He immediately started working and completed the straight forward items. After I dug the trench, he returned the next day and ran wires to the fountain location which was more complicated because he had to drill through the outside wall to reach an electrical box.

Installed electrical outlet in my 20x40 storage building. Arrived on time, very professional, polite

Joey showed up on time, looked at the the oulets that were concerning us, and gave us a quote. We agreed to the price and he set to work. He spent 4 hours at our house. He was honest, courteous and knowledgeable. We just moved into our house a month ago and did not know why our carriage lights had no switch and could only be turned off by tripping a GI outlet in the garage. He rewired that and fixed all of the illegal wiring issues he discovered in our attic. I would call them again in a heartbeat, and refer them to anyone.

One electrician came to check what we needed. An estimate was prepared and emailed to us. Don came to complete the work. Every contact made with the company was met with very polite and very nice people. The work took some time and was done with patience and professionalism. We felt the charges were very reasonable. We are very happy with the work that was done and plan on using Rankin Electric for future projects.
