Rod, the technician, arrived promptly at the scheduled time and was professional, yet friendly and courteous. It was a pleasure to have him in my home, and I'm very pleased with the job he did. Before he left, I pulled the "while you're here, could you look at this too?" bit. He cheerfully replied he had time to look at a toilet which when flushed had started to leak under the tank. He didn't have the necessary part to make the repair, but agreed to return at a later date and give me the benefit of a special add-on rate which will save me significant $$$. I'm grateful. I definitely recommend this company for anyone who has plumbing needs.

All contact with this provider was professional, including cost estimate, addressing follow-up questions, and performaing the work. I got a call in the mroning when they were on the way and they arrived when expected. Team performing the work were efficent and clean. I prepared the work area and they put things back when finished. Completely satisfied with a job well done.

We run a vrbo in an old, renovated Victorian house in CA and manage the place from our full time home in AK. The hot water system had been limping for our guests and we finally decided to get a plumber in to look at it. Being so far away, we really needed to find a trustworthy business that we can rely on long term for things that may come up. Timing was short as we wanted to get the work done between bookings at the house. We called First Call on a Wednesday and the owner, Rod, promised to come out first thing Thursday. He showed up as promised and diagnosed the problems. He offered several options, from putting a bandaid on the system, to completely replacing the tanks with similar but newer ones. After some consideration, my husband and I asked him to give us yet another bid on an upgraded, on demand state of the art system instead. We asked him to acquire all the parts and have the job completed by end of day Monday. Rod got on it right away and communicated with us several times before we signed off on a final plan. He managed to put a temporary bandaid on the system that day so our guests could use the house over the weekend and then returned first thing Monday to do the overhaul. He got the job done as promised on time and at the agreed upon price. He even sent us before and after pictures of the work and we were impressed. Great result. The system works perfectly and we couldn't be more pleased with our experience. We will definitely call him again if we need a plumber.

I was alerted by a neighbor that water was running in my front yard. I went to Angles List, checked out a list of recommended plumbers and started calling. First Call Plumbing was the first to respond and came out quickly on a Saturday. They located the leak right away, got a part to repair it and had it fixed in less then 45 minutes. I highly recommend them and will do business with them again!

We recently moved into the area and received a strong recommendation for this company. We were more than pleased with the thoroughness of the work done. Our first encounter was with Rod Haner. He was professional, on time, and performed the work in a timely manner. The second time we used Fist Call was to repair a sink that had flooded our kitchen floor and to install a dishwasher. This time we met Nick. I am home with two small kids and always get a little nervous with people working at the house. Nick was wonderful. I was comfortable with him working here and appreciated his pleasant manner. He completed the job efficiently and we are very happy with the results.

Replaced washers and springs in the faucets, found out the previous plumber had left a part out in the kitchen faucet which was causing the constant drip and leaking around the handle base, and tightened shower head fixture.. Rod was genuinely friendly, discussed and explained what the issues were and most importantly, didn't try and push me to replace anything. The fixes were minor, it only took 40 minutes and the total cost was so low, I couldn't even use the Angie's discount coupon, as it was only good over $150! The previous plumbing company I'd been using for many years had increasingly gotten awful in terms of sloppy work, not showing up, pushing for replacing things that were fixable, over-charging for more time than spent here etc. and I was fed up. This experience with First Call is probably one of the best service-call visits of any type in the 24+ years I've lived here. I wish all companies in all home repair fields were as positive as this one was.

After finding a bad leak in our water supply piping I called First Response Plumbing on that Thursday evening and spoke w/their service. They had Rod, the owner and lead tech call me. Rod offered to come out that evening and get it fixed if it was an emergency. We had access to water, it just wasn't convenient so no real emergency. After talking it over with Rod, we agreed he would come out at 8 the following morning. Rod arrived promptly at 8 and together we looked at the leak and problem valves. We agreed on replacing all of the valves in the box as well as the faulty fittings and adjacent pipe. He gave me a choice of materials and explained the advantages of each material. I had to leave for a Dr.s appointment and when I returned I learned that Rod had called in a second tech, Nick, and together they had replaced the valves, fitings and piping and the repair was complete. They had not replaced the valve box at that time (they had had to dig around the box and remove it), but I could tell by the smile on my wife's face that our water was back on. Rod had left Nick to install the R.O. system as he had to return to another job he was able to pull off from temporarily while he repaired our leak & got our water back on. Nick, like Rod was a very competent tech as well as being pleasant and polite. I should mention that my wife was struggling with finding compelling reasons for an R.O. system. Before our decision to install, Rod contacted a water expert for well water in this area and had him answer all of my wife's questions and belay her concerns so that she too saw the need for the system. Nick did a 1st class job in fitting all of the R.O. equipment under our sink and still allowing adequate room for my wife's cleaning and dish washing supplies. He replaced the valve box and made the flower bed look better than when they had dug it up. I was so pleased with the outcome of this job and the caring professional manner (they even wore "surgical booties" in our home) that Rod and Nick handled it. We plan on using their services for some extensive plumbing projects in the barn we're customizing and upgrading. 1st Call Plumbing and Rod and Nick deserve our highest recommendation!

After Living in Central Coast for a few years,I can say that most of my experiences with contractors have been 'ok' at best and left me unsatisfied as a customer. FIRST CALL WAS EXCELLENT and restored my faith in quality contractors! The follow up was blazing fast. In fact, he was able to stop by and give me an estimate within a few hours. Price was reasonable and spent quite a bit of time discussing options. Equally surprising is that he committed to coming by first thing in the am the next morning to get started. Arrived on time and got to work quickly. Work was completed on tIme and for the agreed price. He also noticed another problematic area that he fixed and didnt even charge me extra. Overall, probably the best overall experience i have had with any contractor in the area. Would highly recommend to anyone. Side note: I called 4 plumbing companies to get estimates (all with A ratings on Angies list)..He finished the repair before any of the companies was even able to schedule an estimate.

I had a room addition and complete remodel of my 1979 home. Rod installed all new plumbing and gas lines for 3 full bathrooms, new kitchen appliances which included gas range, oven, refrigerator, sink, garbage disposal, tankless water heater, washer and dryer and sewer cleanout line. He has superb knowledge of all aspects for the above mentioned jobs. He and his assistants are very professional and courteous. He was always able to keep on the construction schedule. I trusted him to do the job correctly and he didn't disappoint. He is my plumber for life!

Rod showed up with an assistant, made an assessment of the work to be done. Clearly reviewed it with me and gave me a price. They needed to get additional parts, so they came back the next day and did both jobs. They were very professional, very courteous and friendly. They cleaned up after themselves, and everything they did works perfectly, I am in Morro Bay and they drove over from Atascadero at no additional charge. I am new to the area and they are now my my plumber of choice for any future needs I might have.

Ron was punctual and prepared with an array of plumbing items. We supplied the new faucets but he did a terrific job on a challenging install. I would certainly call him again, as he addressed all of our requests and was very professional.

Our water heater had started leaking, and there was no drip pan so the water had been running onto our garage floor. Rod showed up promptly when we called and confirmed that the leak would only get worse over time. He called to find out if the warranty was still in effect (it was about a year out of warranty, unfortunately), and gave us the option of repairing the existing water heater and placing a pan under it or installing a new/better one. We opted for the new water heater, and he gave us a good deal on purchase and installation. Working with his son, Rod replaced the water heater with a minimum of disruption. He was very congenial and professional. We will definitely call on him for future plumbing needs.

Service from First Call was excellent. The plumber who gave us our quote initially would not return phone calls to do the work, so we perused Angie's List and went with First Call. They were highly rated and did not disappoint! Very courteous and professional. The initial quote we obtained was for installation of a 40-gallon heater, First Call matched the price with a 50-gallon heater instead. They answered all our questions and were sure to give us a run down of the operation of the water heater once it was installed.

Gas leak was detected on line going to water heater in our rental home on a Wednesday at 4:30 pm. I called First Call Plumbing after immediately signing up for Angie's List and checking out their reviews and their rate grade. Was on the phone with Meredith from First Call and she had Rob the tech scheduled for a service call at 7:30 the next morning. Rob called me by 8 am with an update on what needed to be done and how much the cost would be. After discussing the details with Rob the work was performed along with pictures of completed job emailed to me by that afternoon. Seeing as how this is a rental property and I live 3 states away it was a relief to know that the job was done on a timely, professional manner. I would definitely use First Call Plumbing again if/when needed.

Arrived when expected. The work was done in about an hour with total professionalism.

Two plumbers arrived, ascertained where the leak was and explained why the plumbing had to be rebuilt. They began the next day, completed it in 2 days and I was able to move into the home. They were on time too.

Rod was very responsive. He called me back the same day and was out to my house that afternoon to look at the job,. He provided me with a quote within a day as promised. I thought the quote was a bit high and I told him that I would try to do the job myself with the help of my father in law, but after pricing out the materials I realised that Rod's price was fair. When I called Rod back and ate a little humble pie, he was very gracious. He came out and did a superb job and I would have him out again. My father in law was impressed and that is not easy to do!

Rod did a great job installing it. We're very pleased with the system and with what he did. It was very convenient to trust a professional to make sure it was put in correctly. We're going to have him come back again for more work!

Rod came out on a Sunday to check out our backup in the line going to our septic system. I knew First Call doesn't do septic work, but I though the problem was between our house and the septic tank. There was some blockage in the line, but the culprit is in the tank, so we will have the people who installed the tank come out and take a look. Rod was a big help with diagnosing the problem and with getting the line to the tank cleaned out..
