Description of Work: Replaced shower faucet. Results were good. Faucet being replaced was 30 years old, as I expected leaking faucet could not be repaired. Replacement was different and face plate was bigger, but it looks good. Totally satisfied with work and results.

Description of Work: Installed a new water heater. Called at 7:15 a.m. and they were at the house by 8:15 a.m. The price was more than I thought it would be but, then, I have never purchased a new water heater before. They did give me $25.00 off the price with my Angie's coupon,so that helped. Yes, I would call them again (but I hope I don't have to). Thank you people at Angie's for your suggestions on plumbers.  + 0 moreWe noticed that the water heater, located in the garage on a riser, was leaking. We were not sure how long the slow leak had been going on, but it was evident that the surrounding wood and walls were wet. I called First Call Plumbing and Rod personally spoke to me and assured me he would arrange to get out there as soon as possible. He coordinated with our schedule and came the next day prepared with everything he needed to do the job. Once the area was inspected he called me with an estimate to install a high quality water heater and replace the outdated shut off valve. He also kindly offered to provide a fan for a couple of days to dry out the area surrounding the unit so that no mold developed. He completed the work promptly and thoroughly. His estimate was fair for both parts and labor, and he willingly applied my coupon provided by the Angie's List site. I plan to use First Call for any future plumbing needs. Great service with a smile!

 + 0 moreRod came out within the hour after I called. I especially appreciated this, because the old hot water heater was spewing out a fine stream of water that was starting to flood the garage. He checked to see if the old hot water heater was still under warranty, and he also checked on the expected life span of my particular hot water heater. I made the decision that I wanted it replaced rather than repaired. Rod also told me he could give me a better price if I went with a 40 gallon unit, and a different brand. But since we have had trouble with the effect of Atascadero's hard water on other brands, I wanted another Bradford and White. I have used First Call Plumbing for other smaller jobs, and I have been impressed with both the speed of their response, and the reasonable cost of repairs. Rod is a professional and conscientious man. He really goes the extra mile to make sure you are a satisfied customer.
Description of Work: Rod from First Call Plumbing replaced a Bradford and White 50 gallon hot water heater in my home. In addition, the wooden platform that the hot water heater rested on was replaced with a metal one. Also two walls next to the hot water heater needed sections of drywall replaced due to past water damage.

 + -1 moreFirst Call Plumbing was very responsive. They arrived at my rural residence within an hour. My issue was evaluated and, unfortunately for me, turned out to be a septic tank problem. While First Plumbing doesn't clean out septic tanks (not their line of work), they were extremely helpful in correctly diagnosing the problem so that I didn't wast anymore time trying to figure it out. They only charged me a basic call-out fee which is a bargain considering my rural location. Truly exceptional service provided.
Description of Work: Woke up to find all the plumbing in the house not draining correctly. Couldn't be sure if it was a plugged drain or a larger issue with the septic tank needing to be pumped. After calling lots of other plumbers in the area, all of which were too busy for "today", I contacted First Call Plumbing".

Description of Work: We were experiencing a few plumbing problems at our house including low water pressure, water hammer when our dishwasher ran, and we wanted to replace our water heater. We knew we needed a plumber and called First Call after checking Angie's List. Rod from First Call arrived on time and from the minute we met him until the work was completed he was courteous, professional and efficient. After listening to our description of our plumbing problems and asking us questions, he went right to work checking our system. Rod demonstrated how our water softener was impeding our water flow and thoroughly explained what was happening. We talked about replacing the softener and our options. Rod checked our dishwasher and recommended replacing the old water line to the washer and replacing the pressure reducing valve at our house main. We then talked about our 14 year old water heater and our options for replacing that was well. We decided to go ahead and have Rod perform the work. We are extremely happy we did. We agreed on a date for service and repair. Again Rod was on time and got right to work. My wife was very pleased with how neat and clean Rod was as he worked. Rod replaced our water heater, replaced the dishwasher water line, replaced the pressure reducer, and installed new ball valves at our intake and water heater inlet. Because the water softener had to be shipped we scheduled a second service call to have him install that (just one day later) He was on time for that install as well and had it in and working very quickly. All of Rod's plumbing work is top notch. The new equipment appears to be very high quality. The new fittings, pipe, and valves all look really good. Our water pressure is restored, our water heater cranks out the hot water, no more water hammer from our dishwasher, and soft water once again. Thanks, Rod!!

 + -1 moreMy water heater, was leaking into the interior of my home. After considering several companies, I contacted First Call Plumbing. My call was returned immediately, details about my current heater were exchanged and an appointment was set for the same day in the early afternoon. Rod arrived exactly on time, installed the new water heater, answered all my questions, and thoroughly cleaned in and around the water heater "closet" before leaving. All this was completed in approximately 2 hours. A day later I called with a question in regard to adjusting the water temperature and Rod, ever cheerful and courteous, answered my call immediately. I'm extremely impressed with the quality of service from First Call Plumbing. Excellent customer service, punctuality and efficiency, quality and clean work, reasonable price. A very professional operation. I intend to call Rod with all future plumbing issues.
