+ -1 moreThese guys were unbelievable! It sounds simple to run a water line from the street to the house but it wasn’t. Imagine almost 200 feet and hand dig uphill most of the way and across the yard. Now imagine having to go under a driveway, sidewalk and two concrete flower rails. Now add in they did it through one of the hottest heat waves Southern California had this year! I’m telling you these guys did it with sweat and a smile. Just unbelievable!

It was late afternoon and I called Western Rooter who agreed to come out first thing the next day, I had a pretty sleepless night. Rene showed up the next day and assessed the situation and started clean up. Tony soon joined him and the two worked all day until after dark and helped me with cleanup and putting things right. They explained to me what they were doing and why along the way. I felt they charged a fair price. I am so grateful for their service and highly recommend Western Rooter.

+ 0 moreI called because I could not turn off the hot water. They said, someone, would be there within 2 hours. The plumber arrived in less than 90 minutes. He was neat and clean. He set right to work. After 15 minutes or so he had taken apart the old faucet tried to make a repair but the faucet was not repairable - not surprising since the faucet was quite old. I asked if he could replace the faucet but the one I wanted he did not have on his vehicle. He called the office and they had one in stock. He was gone about 40 minutes. He installed the new faucet in about 20 minutes. He cleaned up after himself.

+ 1 moreHats off to Daniel W. from Western Rooter who installed a water filtering system in my garage. Right from speaking with him on the phone, he was courteous, friendly, and very knowledgeable in his craft. You would think that companies would offer you their premium package right from the beginning but not Daniel. Instead, he asked what I was looking for and took the time and effort to send me multiple filtering systems (including Amazon choices) to choose from. This gesture tells you that he is looking for the customer's best interest at hand which is outstanding. Once I selected my choice, he thoroughly explained the contract and servicing process as well as answered all the questions I had. No big complicated words or complex contracts to decipher but simple and easy was the way Daniel pitched it. All in all, Western Rooter needs to hire more professional, knowledgeable, and charismatic people like him as he is a prime example of excellent customer service. I plan to use his services in the future and will definitely refer him to neighbors, friends, and family. Thank again Daniel W.

+ -1 moreOur serviceman arrived promptly and expeditiously performed the standard cleanout. He wasn't wearing a facemask (though I was) which is something I tend to expect of any home service visit during a raging pandemic. Also, he left more evidence of his work than some other service providers have. In all, he did OK, but we don't expect to call him back, especially since he apparently couldn't be bothered to wear a face mask.

+ -1 moreI had a great experience with Western Rooter. Vinny and his team were very professional and friendly. I had an issue with a leaking vertical sewer pipe, which was located behind a wall. The team inspected the pipe and walked me through the various options and benefits/costs of each. After initially completing the work, they found some additional holes in a connecting pipe. Instead of trying to upcharge for the additional work, they completed the additional repairs at no cost to me because they wanted to make sure they finished the job in its entirety and leave me with a functioning pipe system. They are very honest and really went the extra mile to make sure the job was done correctly, even though it took them several extra days to complete it. I would highly recommend Western Rooter for any plumbing needs.

+ 2 moreA first time apartment owner and landlord, I needed major plumbing services within the first 6 months of ownership. The first time was a series of gas leaks which were quickly repaired by Western Rooter. The second time was the significant work of adding 2 gas meters and the requisite task of re-routing/adding gas piping. I simply cannot recommend Daniel Westereng and Western Rooter enough. Although the owner John came out to assist in the final bid, Daniel and I worked consistently with SoCal Gas to coordinate the improvements. Daniel was quick to return texts, calls, e-mails and worked diligently with all the parties to get the job done. If you need a plumber, save time and call Western Rooter. Tell them to send Daniel Westereng and he will do a fantastic job!

He even made a trip to Home Depot to purchase faucet tube nipples to prevent future kinking, as was one of the problems with the water pressure that I didn't even realize I had. He also replaced the water valve under the sink for me because the old one was worn and could possibly leak. Absolutely pleased and I would highly recommend.

+ -1 moreThis company is a ripoff! The work was done all fine, but I still have a horrible hangover about the price paid. The initial quote was for $1100, minus 10% discount. I watched Oscar doing the repair. The whole work consisted of replacing about 4 ft of copper pipes, adding a valve, a pressure regulator, another valve, and connecting the pipe with the extension to sprinklers. Everything took less than 2 hours. With this new connecting system for copper pipes everything is easy and fast. The most difficult part was to shut off the main valve from the street, which took some WD-40 and muscles work to accomplish. I had a feeling that the price was extremely high from the beginning, but you never know unless you see them doing it. I talked to a friend later on who has more experience and he confirmed it was very expensive. To add insult to the injury, Oscar said that he used a new copper pipe instead of reusing an old pice that he cut from the existing system and that he wasn't charging me for it. Yeah, it would've been a cherry on top of the $1000 that I already paid. I want to add that I used this company for the second time: first time it was as a simple repair, $130 total, and I was quite happy about it. This after this recent experience never again. Get other quotes and stay away from companies that overcharge for relatively simple jobs.

She said their office was near pasadena. I explained that I didn't think that added charge was fair since that information wasn't in any of the details of the ad on Angie's list (not even in the fine print) , but she didn't care. So I decided not to buy this special from them after all.

He said we'd have to disassemble the toilet and unclog it from the other side. He said that would cost $130 to do and take about an hour and a half. We found a stuck pen in the toilet. Then he put the toilet back in place with a new seal.

+ 0 moreAfter discovering a leak (probably in the slab) of hot water, we just decided to replace the entire plumbing piping in our 30 years old 2 story house with 3 bathrooms. The copper pipes were replaced by durable flexible plastic pipes and the project also included replacing the water heater. The crew- Manny, Mitch and Josh promised to finish the project in 3 days- and they sure did it. The GREAT TEAM, efficient and professional, worked non stop and communicated with me before taking each next step. They reconnected about 20 points (such as washing machine, dishwasher, new water heater, multiple faucets and 3 toilets) The price is a little steep but the quality of the job looks very good.

Their positive outlook and can-do attitude was really appreciated, especially following the remarkably unprofessional behavior and performance of that other local plumbing contractor which knowingly left me in the lurch. The experience Western Rooter has fixing other company’s shoddy work shows, too -- their plumbers are confident, yet not jaded. On top of it, they charge reasonable fees. I’ll recommend Western Rooter to friends without hesitation.

He arrived promptly, was communicative about the issues and the solution, and handled the job professionally. In the past we have contracted Western Rooter to do small maintenance jobs and have received good service from Danny. I would strongly recommend Western Rooter for any big or small plumbing job because they have consistently provided good service, great communication over the phone, and fair pricing.
