Description of Work: My water heater just stopped working. I thought it was broken. Turned out it had turned itself off for some reason (maybe the recent earthquake). I couldn't find the instructions and didn't know how to reignite it. The man from Western Rooter showed me how to light it and got it going again. No charge. We also discussed repiping.

+ -1 moreWestern Rooter to the rescue again! I had a small underground leak which appeared to be due to a bad sprinkler valve. A sprinkler repair company determined that it was not a bad sprinkler valve and thought it was due to a leak in the main water line. Daniel and Alex dug down to find that the leak was coming from a very old (at least 36 years) broken pvc line. After much testing and head scratching to try to figure out where the water was coming from, they decided to "chase the pipe." After much digging, they found that the very old broken pvc pipe was hooked up to a sprinkler valve that was buried 18 inches underground that had not been capped--only turned off. Roots from a nearby tree had opened the valve which caused the leak--crazy! The current sprinkler system has been the same one since we moved into the house in 1988. It took 36 years for the underground leak to occur!

Description of Work: Gas Company told me I had a venting issue with water heater. Manny inspected the vent to ensure it was clear, then performed testing to assess venting during operation. Everything worked properly, so apparently there was an anomaly with the initial test. There was no charge for the assessment.

I chose to replace the toilet and gave him guidlines for the new toilet. He went to Home Depot, acquired the toilet returned promptly and installed it in a timely manner. After which he broke down and explained the itemized charges. After paying for the work thru my credit card, I received an e-mail summary right away...One major concern that I had in hiring Western Rooter & Plumbing was that their technicians had been vaccinated for Covid 19. I had been referred to Western earlier this year by my condo HOA for a common area leak repair in my unit. I was assured by the dispatcher that the technician coming to my condo was vaccinated against Covid. So when I had this toilet leak problem 6 months later that I had to pay for, out of a multitude of plumbing companies, I went back to Western Rooter & Plumbing after receiving the same assurance.
Description of Work: Fixed old leaking toilet by replacing it with a new one & replace angle stop.

My issue turned out not to be a plumbing problem but I have no doubt that if it was, they would know what to do to fix it. Several of my neighbors have been blessed by their good work and their professionalism. I'll not hesitate to call them out again.
