They called me up prior before coming out, they told me they were going to come out with a certain time frame and they did come within that time frame and they called before they came to let me know that they were coming and then knocked on the door when they arrived 'cause I told them I did have pets and I wanted to retain my dog. They came in and took care of it within half an hour and that was it, actually it was a clean up. We've always like someone closer and pretty much on the same city closer and my husband kind of said that you know what since he looked them up, he saw that they did get some good reviews and he said that he'd choose them and that was it. When they said they were going to come within a time frame and then they call and within that time frame thing they are going to be about 10 minutes to come in here. He gave me time to prepare for them to come in for my little animals. You can't barter or haggle on the price but they took care of it and I haven't had any issues with it.

They were very good and did a fantastic job. The service technician was great and we would definitely call them again.

Our shower refused to drain and we were ankle deep in water. it was Sunday, but we couldn't wait for a weekday. Although it cost extra to get service on a Sunday, they were clear about the price, cleared the drain quickly, and were very professional. It was the second time we used them, and each time was great. I would definitely use them again!

They arrived to do the inspection. They tried going in through all the clean-outs in the house and could not get their camera through the sewer pipe. They said they would have to come back with their rooter equipment and clean it out, then they would run the camera again. They didn't charge for the first visit. When they returned they rooted it out, then tried to run the camera. Couldn't get through, so they had to remove a toilet closer to the street and go in through that. They were finally able to clear the blockage and then send the camera through. They showed us in a detailed video report where the roots were growing in and that their rooting had solved it for now. But at some point we will need to go in and fix the pipes. I appreciated that they didn't use a fear tactic or the fact that we were in escrow to induce the sellers or us to hire them to repair it now. They seemed like honest guys and they worked their butts off to try to find a way into that pipe.

Clogged tub. They came the next day, on time in a two hour window. My drain is fixed. Questions?

Bathroom sink was clogged and also slowed shower drainage. The drain was cleared in short order and Danny even cleaned the sink when he was satisfied the problem was solved. Timely, effective, and efficient work in addition to a pleasant overall experience. Price is reasonable and work is excellent.

We were very pleased with Western Rooter & Plumbing. He came and he unclogged the drain. He did a really good job. The only thing was the pricing. My boss hired him and he was a little bit expensive.

Backstory: In an effort to get health-concious, I decided to start juicing. Great for the body, apparently, but not so great for drains. Disposing of the mushy, sticky pulp from the juicer parts (not the bucket that collects the majority of the pulp. I'm not that daft!) is a sure-fire way to severely clog your drains. By the way, I have also learned that garbage disposal are pretty much useless--new or old--and should definitely NOT be used for grinding up and disposing of fuits and vegetables. The ensuing nightmare started with a backed up sink and water leaking all over the cabinet over which the sink sits, and then onto my kitchen floor. The drama didn't stop there. My kitchen windows were open, as was the door to my garage/laundry room, from which a rather profuse sound of water was coming. The line had backed up and was gushing out of the standpipe for the washing machine run off. My entire garage was flooded with raw sewage. The plumber arrived at the very early end of the window I was provided (between 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.) by the polite and professional receptionist at Western Rooter. I was shocked that I could even get a Saturday visit that wasn't considered an emergency. Carlos (the plumber) was equally friendly and professional, asked me a series of questions about the specific problem, and then immediately set to work resolving the problem. Within half an hour he had rooted the drain and was on his way to another call, but not before checking to make certain all drains flowed properly, as well as ensuring that all seals/couplings under my kitchen sink were tightened and that there were no further leaks. To sum up Carlos in one word: AMAZING! I would rehire this company in a heartbeat, and hope that Carlos will be my go-to-plumber specialist for all my future plumbing issues. Great job!

I was unsatisfied with the service for several reasons. I knew the tree root was very close to the toilet bottom because I had tried to snake it out myself. I felt the proper course of action was to snake it out by removing the toilet which was something I was not prepared to do myself. But Western Rooter preferred to snake it through a narrow vent pipe which I thought would not be as effective. Western Rooter charged me $135 for the service which included an Angie's list discount. Western also gave a 30 day warranty on the service. I was proved to be right that the first service was inadequate since I had to call Western Rooter back after only two days. They were reluctant to remove the toilet and wanted to go through the vent pipe again. This time I insisted that the toilet be removed. As soon as the toilet was removed, the problem was easily seen to be at the toilet flange, and the tree root easily removed. Problem corrected. They charged me $130 for the work which is a small discount from their usual charge for toilet removal. One reason I was unsatisfied is that if they had removed the toilet in the first visit, the problem would have been solved, and there would not be a second visit and a second charge. Another cause for dissatisfaction is that I was given a 30 day warranty on the work of the first visit. That warranty seems to be worthless since I was charged for the second visit. Despite all of that, I was very impressed with their responsiveness, punctuality, and general professionalism. And I thought their charges were quite reasonable for each visit considering how hard they worked.

They were great! The person on the phone was extremely helpful and the plumbers came within half and hour. They took a lot of care to make sure they kept the floor of the bathroom clean, and worked with the sink until the problem was solved. The price was extremely reasonable, and I would definitely use them again!

I came home after work and my toilet was clogged and backed up. Tried plunging until my wrist started to hurt. I knew something big was blocking the toilet because in the past i was able to fix it with the plunger. Looked around for a plumbing company nearby and came across Western in Arcadia based on a search (and straight 'A' reviews) on Angies List. Called them at 5:15 pm thinking they were closed but glad someone answered the phone. Explained the problem and someone was dispatched to my house within an hour. Glad these guys are around. Will definitely call them again. Service was great and more importantly prompt. The plumber (Said) was really nice and had great customer service.

I called Western Rooter and receptionist/dispatcher was very polite and gave me a time frame that tech would arrive. Technician arrived within the quoted time frame and went right to work. Technician had professional appearance and was very polite and courteous. Once technician arrived I decided on my own to have main drain snaked as well since it had been 6 years since done last. (Tech did not suggest it or try to push any extra services.) I feel the price was very fair and would definitely use Western Rooter service again.

I called early morning at 7.. they promised quick response time... they were there at 8 amDid what was needed to be done.... very courteous and prompt... very good job.Would highly recommend them.

When I was told the new water heater was $600.00 I was surprised. Cesar explained, in defense, that the new heater was double insulated and far superior than the GE units available off the shelf at Home Depot. Even with the receipt provided I still do not know exactly what the replacement water heater costed. All I have is a total cost so I can only assume that $600.00 of the $1,100.00 is parts and the rest labor. In the future I will ask for a more comprehensive cost breakdown. (Parts, labor, etc) It took about 2.5 hours start to finish and I am satisfied with the work performed. I will use these folks again for my plumbing needs.

Overall, they seem to be honest and professional with their jobs. I would use them again.

I had a tenant call me about a toilet clogged on a Friday evening at 5:30 pm. Usually the plunger works everytime but this time I couldn't get it to work. I suspected they flushed something they shouldn't have. Called Western Rooter & their office was closed, but got their answering service. Obviously, the cost was overtime but needed to get the toilet working for the tenants, especially heading into a long weekend. They said a plumber would be there within 2 hours. Within 30 mins, I got a call from the tenant thanking me for the quick response and the toilet was working fine.

They seemed to know what they were doing, but I wasn't here when they did their thing.

On Saturday morning, we developed a major blockage of our main sewage line. During a shower in the master bathroom, my wife discovered that the shower was not draining. But even worse, there appeared to be toilet water coming out of the bathtub drain, and the master toilet was not flushing completely. We called Western Rooter at 8:30 AM and they gave a 2 hr service window from 9 - 11 AM. James arrived at 11 AM and was able to immediately determine that the main sewage line was blocked. Because our house did not have a cleanout, the only viable access to the main line was through a vent on the roof. He needed to call his associate, Sal, to bring in the equipment necessary to run the main line from the vent. After 30 min, Sal arrived and they were able to clean out the roots that had blocked the main line. Then they ran a video camera from the vent out the main line to the front of the house. Prior to removing the roots blocking the main line, James suggested we consider installing a cleanout in front of the house which would allow easier access to the main line in the future if we should develop a blockage again. We felt that this would be a wise idea. Fortunately, they did not have any other jobs to do that afternoon. So they were able to complete that job as well. They had to dig a 5 x 5 ft hole, 4 feet deep, in our front garden in order to access the main line and install the cleanout. They actually installed a double cleanout, one in order to access the main line underneath the house and one in order to access the main line going out the front of the house to the street. They ran a video camera from the vent on the roof and also from the cleanout, to ensure that the main line was completely clear. They worked the entire afternoon without break until 4 PM. Both James and Sal were very professional, hard-working, and efficient. They carefully shoveled all the dirt back to fill the deep hole they had dug. The cost for the job was a bit more than we expected, but considering the amount of work they had to do, their responsiveness on a Saturday, and the quality of their work, it was well worth it. We were so pleased with their work and honesty, we'll be having James come back on Tuesday to give an estimate to replace a blocked drainage pipe in our backyard.

They were very prompt in getting out and they were very responsive. They finished the work very quickly.

I went to shower before work (5am) and bathtub drain was completely clogged. I have been fighting this drain for a little over a year using Draino type products. Nothing was working today. Looking at Angie's List I contacted Western Rooter and within 1 hour a technician (Jess) arrived. He did a great job and he cleaned the area up. With no pressure we discussed a Main Line snake out and the cost I felt was reasonable and worth doing for preventative maintenance. Mike arrived to assist Jess, they were great. Mike recommended that Jess snake the kitchen drain while on-site, I agreed. Other than the clogged drain everything else was preventative maintenance which is important to me to have done. Mike gave me some great advice on not to use Lye type products and provided a better solution. Also Mike and I discussed a couple future projects (hot water heater replacement and water softener) to see if they were able to install these items. Both Jess and Mike were top notch. I will use them again and I highly recommend them.
