He was very professional and friendly. I watched him work, and he explained each process to me and showed me what had gone wrong and how he was addressing the problems. While I still don't completely understand the process, it was obvious that knew what he was doing, and he seemed to be enjoying his work. He brought all the tools he needed with him. He explained each step of his services in writing on his invoice. He was very cheerful about coming in on a Saturday with almost no notice. I recommend him highly.

They are timely, knowledgeable, and they did what they said they were going to do.

He's done this a million times before. It went like clockwork, fast, clean, left nothing undone. Greg is a true business man and runs his business as such. He was very busy over the holidays but was able to get my work in nonetheless. He used the phone to communicate exact timing he would arrive and he was about 10 minutes early. He explains his work, he doesn't try to upsell just because most people know nothing about garage doors. I can't imagine getting a better or faster job done by another company. Most had their holiday phone messages on then didn't return messages. Greg either answers his phone or returns calls immediately when he is free. Greg is no hassle, no delay, good pricing and he knows his job 100%. Highly recommended.

Very clean about his work and made sure all was ok before he left

Greg was very courteous, explained what had gone wrong and fixed the problem. I was so relieved when he arrived because my car was trapped in the garage. The door was stuck about three feet off the ground which created a security risk. The fee for his service was fair and I will definitely call him when I need garage door maintenance/repair. The biggest plus was that he could come after hours and I had a good night sleep. Thanks, Greg.

Greg not only fixed my problem at a great price, he gave me a brief education of garage doors and my options. The last company that replaced it never gave me the option of improving the system at a very small price increase. If that had happened, I wouldn't be fixing it again so soon. On the key-less piece he went through every step and tried to fix it prior to replacing the unit. Solid guy and I would recommend him to any of my friends.

I left a message on the company phone and was called back the following day. The repairman gave me choices of "windows of time" he could come out. After I told him what would work for me he said he would call about 30 minutes before he would be arriving. He did do this which was very helpful. The repairman explained my options and showed me what needed to be repaired. It was very helpful and I felt he was very honest. I would recommend this company and would use them again.

Excellent. The owner gave me anestimate that was consistent with the quote I received over the phone. He did additional work to repair the automatic garage door safety mechanism for little over the other repair cost even though it took him quite a bit of time. He also gave a discount for getting multiple services performed at one time.

Garage door works as it should now. Previously, we had been talking about replacing our aged garage door opener. Decided to give job to him in view of completed work product we received on this problem.

Replacing the door opener was a needed task we had put off for a couple years. Door now operates better than ever before.

Awesome job! He was able to come out the next day. Easily figured out what was wrong and repaired it. Could have pushed for complete door replacement, but didn't when we didn't want to go there. Installed reinforcing rods and fixed the mechanism. Knew what he was doing and was pleasant to work with.

I left a message in the evening and received a call the next morning (they were the first to respond back). I explained the problem, received estimates over the phone, and scheduled a service on the weekend. I was given a one hour window and they arrived promptly during the scheduled time. Greg was very helpful in explaining everything and thankfully they were able to repair my 20+ year garage door mechanism. He even called back that afternoon to make sure everything was working fine. Now its working better than ever and much quieter. Would definitely use the service again.

Greg's service was excellent! I called him last night, he showed up on time today and after discussing my options, he finished the install. I don't think we have ever had faster service provided. He even advised me not to install something additional, which I thought was honest and nice to see from a business. I definitely recommend him. Don't even bother calling anybody else!

Greg, owner, was great. Our garage door spring broke over the weekend and I searched Angie's list for a reputable repair person. I selected Abel Garage Door based on reviews. I was not disappointed. I phoned on the weekend, and his message was clear that he was booked through the weekend, but leave a message and he would call back Monday to schedule. He did just that, and was out to my home around 1:30 on Monday. He was extremely fair, and performed the job timely and with great pride. I would highly recommend him, and would/will use him again if need be.

Greg replaced some hinges on both sides of the door, after conferring on the rollers I told him to replace all of them, since the door was 22 years old. Then he lubricated all the hinges, adjusted the torsion springs, and adjusted the motor settings. I asked if he could lubricate the other door, which he did. He is very professional in what he does, always give options on how much can you spend. Before he left I remind him of the door sensors we're give me some problems. But the door never did stop half way up or down, so he said to let him know if it did. Well two hours latter it did, and I called, of course he was busy. We tried to reset the sensors over the phone, but to no avail, so couple days latter he came back over late in the afternoon and rearranged the sensors. Hopping that would solve the problem, he finally found one sensor wire was bad. All this he did and he only charge me for the new sensors. The door has never been this good to open until now, I definitely will recommend him to anybody I know.

I called Greg first thing Friday morning and withn 20 minutes he returned my call and an appointment was scheduled for that very afternoon. He gave me a time and told me he would call approx. 20 min. prior to arrival. He did just that and arrived on time. Looked at the problem and gave me an estimate. We scheduled a time for the repair for the next morning. He arrived on time and completed the work very quickly. We are very pleased with the service and price. We would not hesitate to call him again. Greg explained everything in detail and gave us many options to save us money. He also gave us a great discount. I highly recommend this company for any garage door needs.

Great job. I had no previous experience with the company, found them on Angie's list. I agree with the on line reviews. The owner, Greg, was knowledgeable and professional. He was willing to explain my options over the phone unlike the other company I called who didn't/couldn't respond to my questions, just wanted to come out and get the job. My door was crooked, wouldn't go up or down anymore Greg came out and immediately identified the problem. He replaced cables and a broken bracket, adjusted and lubricated the door tracks (much quieter now) all in one visit. Great service. Will definitely call Greg with any future garage door issues.

Called the morning of March 6, 2014, to schedule a service call, Greg the owner said he was available that day. So we scheduled to do the work between 12:00 and 2:00. He arrived at 2:00 and was done by 3:00. Did a great job and was very professional. Would definitely use his services again.

Greg was WONDERFUL. Responsive, called back quickly and showed up on time. He repaired my door (when other companies said it needed to be replaced) and was friendly and approachable. Would recommend to anyone and will use again! Thanks for the great service!

Greg provided the service himself. When it became apparent that the keypad was not broken (I thought it was), Greg said so and would not charge me. I truly appreciate his honesty ~ he could have said otherwise and sold us a new keypad. The service on the doors was very comprehensive and he set my expectations that the spring on our double garage was weak and likely will be to be replaced soon. When that occurs, I will call Greg and not shop around ~ because he has won my trust.

We made an appointment for the owner, Greg to come out a couple of days later on a Saturday. That morning Greg called updating me on his estimated time of arrival which I appreciated. For the service call it included lubricating rollers, checking hinges, adjusting springs. He noticed frayed cables which he gave me a quote and I ok'd it. That saved me the cost of a future visit when they eventually fail. For the price I felt it was very reasonable and now I have a garage door that has never been quieter nor safer. It should last me many more years.

The provider was kind enough to fit me in at the end of his day. Our garage door had broken suddenly and I could not get my car out of the garage. He was wonderful, called ahead and arrived on time, finished within an hour and did a fantastic job. Over and above my expectations.

Because of my schedule, I had to book the appointment about 4 days from when I called. That said I was able to book on the first day that I was available. Greg was professional, on time, efficient, and the quality of worked performed appeared to be excellent. Greg states he weights the door so the most correct springs will be installed. No debris was left behind. While I did not get multiple estimates, Greg's service was so good that he would be my first choice if i had another garage door problem.
