I read the reviews and that prompted me to make the call. Greg came out the next morning and repaired and serviced my door. Greg is very professional and friendly and fairly priced. In about 30 mins he was finished. I would highly recommend him.

Abel Garage Door came to my house three times over the last year. The first time, Greg came out to do some routine work on the springs of my very old tilt up garage door and said I had about six months before I'd have problems. Very professional, walked through exactly what he did, and you could tell he cared about the craft. True to his estimate, six months later, the springs on the door failed. As one of the top rated companies on Angie's List, going back to these guys was a no-brainer. Again, not disappointed. Loren came out twice, the first time for an estimate that was far less than I thought it was going to be, and actually suggested a different cost-saving type of door. You could tell he cares about the craft and his customers. He's a second generation garage door installer who takes pride in his work and doing it right, even if it takes longer. The work he did framing my garage door down to size was wonderful. He also did a good job explaining what he was doing doing installation, including how to care for and maintain my new roll-up garage door. Use Abel Garage Door if you want to get an expensive project done right!

That was fine, he was very nice Price: It was perfect. 59 dollars was just about what I was worth coming out and figuring stuff out. Quality: He was a very nice guy.

I read some reviews before contacting Abel and I'm glad I did. I never felt like I was being pressured to buy more services and Greg made sure I was happy with the job before he left. I will definitely use Abel in the future.

I had used Abel Garage Door twice before, and called them immediately when the spring broke. They were very punctual, and looked at the previous work they had done while explaining what had to be done. They were very informative, and diligent in their work. I would have no hesitancy in recommending them to anyone who wants to help local businesses, knowing that they will do a great job.

After interviewing several garage door installation businesses, I selected Abel Garage Doors based on my brother's recommendation, as well as on the Angie's list reviews. Greg came out, inspected the location, and showed me the options I was interested in, including insulation and custom paint finish, as well as both flat and raised panels. Although the door had to be special ordered, it was worth the wait to get what I wanted, and the price was reasonable considering the extras involved. They called when the door arrived, and the installers arrived at the appointment time and quickly removed the old door. When they began installing the new door, they discovered that the wrong panel design had been shipped. They quickly determined that they would need to finish installation with the incorrect panels, then have the correct panels shipped and installed, at no additional charge. Two weeks later, Greg called to say the correct panels had arrived, and scheduled a time to install them. The door looks great now, the color matches perfectly with the house, and the new door is incredibly smooth and quiet. I reduced the overall score and professionalism from A to B only because they should have verified that the door was correct before they came out and began installation! But the true mark of an excellent business is in how well they make it right when something goes wrong, and they most certainly did that! I highly recommend them.

My garage door spring snapped and both cables on each side of the door snapped as well. As the original was a single spring, this did not allow for the door to be opened manually. All cars were in the garage. Greg was gracious enough to schedule an appointment on the same day we called. He called prior to arrival and arrived on time. He quickly evaluated what needed to be done and provided a full explanation of what he would be doing and why. He then provided his estimate and quickly got to work. He replaced the single spring with double springs which would allow the door to be opened in the event one side broke and both cables were replaced. The door was checked for balance and then all the various moving parts were lubed. Once tested and satisfied with how everything was operational, Greg provided a overview of all the work that had been completed. He was very thorough, professional, and personable. Best of all, he was able to complete all the repairs under an hour. I would highly recommend Greg for any garage repairs.

Excellent service from Able of Able Garage Doors. The motor that opened the garage door had been losing it's frequency strength and in the past week I had to get closer and closer to the garage door with the remote in order to open the doors. Finally it would not work at all. Able initially said he would need to order a new logic board and replace it with the old one in the motor. That would take about 10 days. I didn't say anything but he must have sensed my disappointment and then said give me a few minutes because I want to think about other possible options to fix this problem. He came back with the offer to put in a new stronger powered motor at a reasonable price and which he would be able to do right away. I agreed to this and within an hour's time I had a new motor working properly and he also made sure my remote built into my car was rekeyed to the frequency of this brand new motor. Able was prompt, courteous, attentive to my concerns, service oriented, knowledgeable, respectful and his services were reasonable.

Greg did an outstanding job with the repair. I highly recommend Abel Garage Door for all your garage door needs. Very reasonably priced for the high quality of work you receive.

Greg did an excellent job. He was quick to respond to my call, answered all of my questions, even looked at photos I texted him to get an idea of the repair project and give me a few choices at various price points to consider. He came to the house to get measurements and look at the damage. His communication was outstanding and he kept me informed on his arrival time and setting realistic expectations of the repair work and time to complete everything. By the next day he had all the parts needed and quickly completed the repairs and it runs better than it ever has now. Our garage door is practically silent when it goes up and down now, I didn't even know it was possible! Outstanding job and I appreciate his hard work and problem solving skills while staying within my budget. I would definitely recommend him to everyone.

We had a power outage in our area either late Friday night or early Saturday so when we went to open the garage door Saturday the opener did not work. I called Greg but he was all booked up but said that he would call Monday. In the meantime we had a family member who is handy with electrical to check it out and he said that there was power to the unit but it did not work. On Sunday I went to Greg web page and ordered a new unit that he had on one of his Big deal specials. He called us on Monday to see when he could come out and install the new opener. He arrived promptly and on time as always Greg checked out the old unit to make sure that it was indeed bad and then installed our new opener in a prompt, professional manner We had paid for the new unit on Angie's list so the only extra charge was for a second opener for our other car which was not big deal. We are now back up and running and happy with the new unit and will use Greg for any future garage door problems as we have in the past.

You can not ask for a better company. Repaired hinge and adjusted springs. Gregg answered phone call immediately and set up appointment with a two hour window and called when he was on his way. This is how every service person should be. A great example and a fantastic company. Do not hesitate to call this company for any of you garage door needs, you won't be sorry. He has all my future business!

I was happy with the initial service of installing. Due to various factors did not need to use the key less remote until 1/1/16. I was unable to use. Attempted to use the key less remote and it was not working. So I called Abel to let them know what was occurring. The rep there advised on what may need to be done. I attempted his advice with no luck. At that point asked if they would come take a look at things and was not given any idea what it would cost if anything to get this situation fixed. The Abel rep showed up later that day. Was told that I lost programming and he re-programmed, all told got things fixed in 5 minutes. He then went to his truck for a few minutes, then handed me a bill for $95.00. This was excessive for the time spent to correct my issue. I asked him about the Angie's List discount, to which he replied that was a one time deal. Was not expecting being charged that much for a repeat customer.

I called Greg on 12/14/2015 and left a message on his recorder. He called us back that evening to set up an appointment to come out and check our garage door. He arrived within the scheduled time and promptly evaluated the repairs that needed to be done which included replacing the rollers, cable drum and corner fixture which has a bearing in it. He was very professional and had the work done efficiently and quickly. I have used him in the past but that was some time ago and will use him again in the future.

I called in the afternoon and was surprised that he said he would do it the same day. He kept me informed about finishing other jobs and when he would be at my house. He was right on time, knew his business, was polite and did a clean job. I used an offer that was on Angie's List. I would definitely call him again.

Greg did a great job. I called him at 8:00 am and he was out by noon and finished by 2:00.

Fixed hinge and noticed other hinge was close to breaking. Fixed the hinges and secured the other hinges. Very happy with service and work completed.

GI called Greg Files, the owner of Abel Garage Door to schedule an appointment. He was available and came to our house promptly on the date/time we scheduled. Greg quickly diagnosed the problem as the spring being undersized for the weight of the door thus causing the motor to labor and not completely opening or closing when I pressed the remote. He installed two coil springs verses one to better distribute the load on the motor and ensure the two springs were capable of handling the door's weight. Greg also pointed out that although the door cables weren't frayed they were 17 years old and suggested it might be a good time to replace them too while he was there. There was absolutely no pressure by him to do this, but I'd rather be proactive than have to call him if there was a problem in a month or year. Greg provided a 4 year written warranty parts and labor if the parts he installed breaks. As an Angie's List member, Greg gave me a discount for the service call. The Genie motor on my garage door opener is 17 years old so when it does finally give out, I will definitely call Greg Files at Abel Garage Door to install a new one!

Very courteous and professional even though he was dealing with a family emergency at the same time. Excellent workmanship and thoroughly explained the pros and cons of all garage door openers so we could make a solid decision within our budget. He is definitely our go-to guy for garage door illness!

Our small garage door was not operating, the motor was grinding and the door wouldn't go up. Called early afternoon, and Greg said he'll be there between 4:30-6:30pm. At around 5, he called he was running late and assured me that he would definitely be there and not to worry. Called again before he arrived at 7pm. He found out that the motor to the garage door was dead and needed a replacement. He finished the job at 8:30pm. Really appreciated that he came and fixed the problem even at that time of the evening, not to mention he had the parts in his big truck. He did a great job, cleaned up the mess, very professional; went above and beyond to staple the dangling electricity cord to the ceiling for our other larger garage door which he was not asked to do, said he couldn't allow it to hang loose like that. I would definitely recommend him to any one who needs the garage door worked on.

Can't say enough good things about the professionalism and responsiveness that Greg displayed. He notified us and gave us updates on arrival. showed up in the middle of a storm and did a wonderful job replacing a cranky old garage door opener. The wiring was substandard so he fixed that also. The price for the amount of work and craftsmanship was extremely fair.
