Tom's Quality Plumbing

Tom did a quality job. This was my second time using his services. I recommend him very highly, He is my go go to plumber for large and small jobs anytime. John

I made an appointment with him for an estimate on a bathroom remodel job and he was a no show. I called him a half hour after he was supposed to arrive and he was working on someone else's job. So I asked him if he needed our phone number and he said he already had it. So he had our phone number and didn't even bother to call and reschedule the appointment. He didn't apologize for the no show either. Very inconsiderate and unprofessional.

Tom was fantastic. Our condo is nearing 50 years old and had a lot of plumbing issues, but he addressed all of them in a very timely manner (we called Tom because of an emergency leak on a Friday night; he stayed until 10PM to help us out even though he had Angel's tickets for the night). Plumbing issues are rarely a cheap-fix, and his rates were very reasonable considering the amount of work needed to bring our place up to par. We couldn't be happier with his professionalism. We couldn't be happier with the end-result. We would definitely do business with him again, and would recommend him to relatives and friends alike.

I was happy with his availability, his work, and good humor. His price was higher than I liked, but better when I asked for and got the Angie's list discount.

There was water dripping from the ceiling of our women's restroom. A water pipe for the upstairs restroom was leaking. I called Tom and after speaking with him for only a minute, the call dropped. Tom called me right back, which I consider to be courteous and professional. Fortunately for us, Tom was able to come within an hour of my phone call. He cut a hole in the ceiling to do the repair and cleaned up afterwards. While he was here, he adjusted the men's bathroom toilet which has never flushed properly since we moved in a year ago. He even gives an Angie's List discount, yeah!

He's a very nice person and all went well. I would definitely call him again.

You know, what more can you ask of a plumber? Tom came when he said he would, fixed the problem, charged me a fair price, and cleaned up after himself. A model of good service.

Tom came the same day that I called. We had so much leaking...3 rooms were affected by the water damage by the time we noticed it. It turned out to be a minor repair from the plumbing standpoint. Tom was friendly, professtional and efficient. I wouldn't hesitate to call him again.

Called Tom after reading Angie's List reviews. He was very responsive. What we thought was a simple kitchen valve replacement turned into a two-day repair project. But we now have wonderful water pressure and everything works. The day after Tom did all the work on the kitchen and outside (while entailed the City having to dig up our street!), my washer broke. When the repair man came, he discovered the cold water valve was broken (along with the washing machine). Tom came back immediately to replace the cold water valves so new washer/dryer could be installed. Although previously tentative about plumbing, I will always call Tom from now on. He, and Robert, were prompt, very friendly and competent. I no longer fear plumbing issues. These guys are wonderful!

I had called Tom the previous day to schedule an appointment. I left a message which he promptly returned. He said he would be there the very next day at 10:00. He asked if he should call prior to his arrival, which he did...and he was early. My opinion is that early is on time and on time is late. My wife was at home, she walked him through all the work that needed to be done. He completed all the work at a very high quality. I like it when the contractor takes a consultative approach. Making suggestions for the good of the home, not his pocket. Tom was outstanding in every aspect of the job. I am already planning to call him back. If you are looking for an honest, hard working, clean, on time plumber who provides a tremendous value, call Tom.

I called Tom mid-afternoon because my toilet and bathtub were backed up. He came out a couple of hours later & spent 3 hours trying to clear the main drain from the cleanout in front. He couldn't get the snake to go all the way, and with a camera determined that the pipe was broken. He quoted me and said he'd be back the next day. He came about 10:00 the next morning and brought someone to help him. They dug a hole that was chest deep in my flower bed out by the sidewalk, looking for the pipe, finally located it and discovered it was cracked and a joint had been offset from roots pushing it apart. Another guy came and there were 3 of them working on this problem. He put new pvc pipe in the area that was broken, with another cleanout in the flower bed for easy access in case of future problems. The job was finished about 4:00 p.m. They did a really nice job of cleaning up and re-planted a couple of plants they had to uproot. When I was looking for a plumber, I turned to Angie's List like I usually do, and read the reviews from many people for services with the same problem that I had. A consistent complaint in almost all of them was that the work was too expensive and they were not happy about that. I also think plumbing repairs are expensive and don't like paying for them. However, it seems that most people have the same complaint but are happy with service. It seems to me that the price for the amount of work that was needed for my job, and the fact that there were three of them working on it, the price was in line with normal pricing and quite possibly cheaper for this type of job. I would recommend Tom's, and advise anyone with major plumbing issues to know that it's going to cost you to fix them and not downgrade your overall review unless you can say for certain that the price you paid was way above what others charge.

This was my first time calling Tom. I did so based on the many Angie's List positive experiences. He returned my call promptly. However, when he had an emergency call interrupt our initial appointment, he volunteered to give me the name of someone who could respond the same day. I decided to stay with Tom, and we finally got together. I'm very happy I waited. Tom is professional, friendly and his fee was very fair. He was very clean and took the time to explain exactly what he had done. He volunteered the Angie's List discount even though I'd not presented the coupon. I've already added him to my contact list for any further plumbing!

Tom came in assessed the work needed and starting working. At one point he called me in to look at one old pipe that literally fell apart in his hand because it was that brittle. We had a good conversation and he told me that he was a Christian. We had hamburgers and then he went back to work. He told me that the job would be $1000 dollars in which case I was surprise at first, but good plummers are hard to find. Then he told me that he had changed his mind and was knocking off $200. I paid him and I thanked him and he left.

My wife called me at work describing a broken pipe on top of our water heater that was spraying water accross the garage. My "go to" plumber was not available, so I called Tom after (quickly) reading his reviews and seeing he was in my area. Tom answered the phone personally and confirmed the time he would arrive at my house. He arrived on time and had the replacement part with him to complete the job. Tom is now my "go to" plumber.

He was fast, efficient, courteous and reasonable.

Tom gave me an estimate over the phone and we made an appointment the following week. He arrived on time. Work was done in about 45 mins. The part used was a quality part and installation was very well done. Tom was very friendly - I would definitely call him again for future plumbing service.

Thankful for the time Tom took to get all the TO DO list finished and addressed. He came out punctually, he performed his job well above anyone I have seen work for a long time. (Great to see someone who takes his work seriously and is fair both financially and does the job right till done)

Tom was quick and professional throughout the job. He left the area just as he found it. And he explained how the valves are connected and gave advice on how to avoid this problem in the future. We used Tom twice earlier this year, once for a sink/faucet update and once for an emergency sewer backup. The emergency call was on a Friday at 4:30 PM and Tom was already on his way home when I reached him. He responded right away, fixed the problem and did not overcharge. He has always been polite, professional, thorough and neat every time with very reasonable prices. We will continue to use his services.
