Tom the plumber came over and using a professional drain auger went into the clean out drain on the side of the house and got the job done. It took a few tries since blockage was very deep in the drain system. I had tried cleaning drain from same location with DIY size drain snake before I called Tom - but could not reach blockage or could not get through blockage. I had disassembled my kitchen drain pipes before he got their to help the process if he needed access though there. I told him I could put it together - but he offered to do it and he did it quicker and more professionally then I would have done it.

Everything went well. I am happy to have a working toilet.

Called Tom 9/16/2016. Told him my shower drain was clogged. Needed him to come out to clear the drain. He said he would come out this afternoon and would call me when he was on the way. After waiting all afternoon and evening he was a no-show. Didn't even call.

Tom is now my plumber. I had a neighbor who would come by when I needed him, but he moved away. Tom is my new replacement. He answers his phone and comes promptly. Tom calls if he's running late. His prices are reasonable. He is a one-man one-truck operation and it feels like I'm his only customer because he is so prompt when my drains block up. I just hope he doesn't move away.

I called Tom on a Thursday and booked him to come out the following Monday at 9:30am to check on a backed-up kitchen sink. I specifically told him to call me if anything came up. I took time off work to be home Monday morning. I waited and waited, and finally called him at 10:20am to ask when he'd be arriving. He answered and said he was doing another job, had gotten his calendar wrong, and wanted to re-book. I told him I would find someone else. Ended up calling Roto Rooter from the phone book and they cleared the drain just fine, and showed up when they said they wood. I can't comment on the quality of "Tom's Quality Plumbing" but I can tell you that anyone who cannot keep track of appointments is not professional enough for me to hire. What is the point of paying money to Angie's List if I can't rely on the workers listed?

We called Tom on the 4th of July, figuring he wasn't working that day, but our issue wasn't an emergency. He called back at 8:30 AM on the 5th, and was at our place an hour later. Dug right in and had the clog cleared pretty quickly. Made some minor changes to our under sink plumbing. Very pleased.

This is the first time we have ever had an Angie's List Service Provider cancel and offer no alternative. It put us in a really bad position because we had scheduled the appointment 4 days in advance knowing it was an emergency. We could have had someone come sooner if we had known. I am surprised we got under prioritized no solution was offered. Very disappointing in this situation. This is not a reliable plumber.

Tom came out the same day we called. He and his son were friendly and efficient. Our line was cleared and we have a two month warrantee on the work. The discount posted on Angie's list was honored without question. Tom also gave us money-saving advice on another plumbing issue. We will definitely call him in the future when needed.

I provided the toilet so that was not part of the plumber's charge. The toilet cost me about $250. He installed the toilet and then decided to remove it again because it was not sitting properly. When he removed it, he cut down or shortened the flange and pipe, then reset the toilet. So each time he set the toilet, he charged me $250. I did get a small discount which I believe was because I found him on Angie's list. It is my belief that a plumber with experience should be able to tell if a toilet is sitting properly before he puts the caulk around the base. It is also my belief that an experienced plumber should have known the flange & pipe needed to be cut down before he set the toilet and caulked the base. So it cost me over $700. to buy the toilet and have it installed. For what the plumber charged me, I could have purchased two more toilets. Ridiculous! And by the way, those 1.28 gallon flush toilets are a joke. You have to flush twice so you aren't saving water anyway. In response to my review on 10/15/15 for Tom's Quality Plumbing, the company subsequently stated that it was not Tom's Quality Plumbing that worked on my toilet, that they never were at my address, etc. For the record, I have their dated, professionally printed company receipt with their name at the top of it and a hand written description of the work done and the charges and the check number that I gave them. I also have my bank statement showing that they cashed my check, the same check number that is written on their receipt. And I have their business card that was given to me at the time. I have seen other vendors on Angie's List try to deny they did a certain job after they get a bad review so this came as no surprise. People impersonate Elvis. They do not impersonate plumbers.

We had a great experience. I called Tom and scheduled an appointment the next day. He arrived early and checked the issue we were concerned about - a leak in our front yard. He covered the entire property inside and out and did not find any leaks. He then discovered that our pool overflow drain was blocked and needed to be cleaned out/adjusted. He then cleaned it out and fixed all the issues. One of my biggest concerns when calling people to come give appraisals/estimates on repairing items in and around the house is that the contractor will either overestimate, or create items that need to be fixed. Tom was very straightforward and honest. He came early and took the time necessary to check everything. I would highly recommend him.

Tom responded quickly to my call for service to repair my water heater stand and piping. The house was being sold and these items were not completed to plumbing code. Tom started the work on time and completed this job the same day. He had to build a new base for the water heater (80 gallon size). He also had to reroute some of the copper lines leading from the water heater and repair the drywall in the area. Tom and his helper was very friendly and did a great job. He knew what he was doing.

He did a fairly good service. It was a complicated job. He quoted low price, but he ran to some problems that he did not expect. So I paid him extra labor. He was punctual and he always answers my calls. He finished well ahead of the scheduled date and he knew what he was doing. There was an existing gas line. So he explained what he has done in a better way when compared to the earlier installation.

We had a rusted screw in the shower handle of our bath/shower that despite every effort of ours could not be removed to replace the handle. My husband called Tom and booked an appt for a few days later. Tom arrived when he said he would, was easy to contact, discussed the issue and options with us and replaced the handle as well as the shower cartridge. He was professional and offered competitive pricing as well as being friendly and easy to work with. We would highly recommend him and would hire him again!

The service was fantastic. The workers were very nice and clean. They were very prompt. I would tell a friend that if they needed plumbing work done, they can count on Tom's Plumbing.

The water heater was leaking at what is normally the drain valve, but is normally open and connected to my recirculation system. I started to remove the nylon valve but it would not come loose and I was afraid it would break off. I normally use another quality plumber but they were booked up until Tuesday, 4 days later. I called Tom at about 10 AM and he was able to come out at about 2 PM. He had to use what appeared to be a 36" closet wrench to remove the faulty valve. He was finished in a little over an hour and installed a new hose in the recirc circuit. All in all a very good outcome. I will call Tom first from now on!

Many thanks to Tom and his helper Robert. Of course, the water heater had to go out at the most inconvenient time, Christmas Eve day. He explained what the issue was and what my options were. Tom replaced the water heater and the straps holding the water heater in place, what an improvement. He explained what he was doing during the process of the replacement and why. I give thanks to Tom and Robert for their understanding. Taking time out away from their families a on holiday to help me with my predicament.

Ricky arrived near the beginning of the agreed on two hour window. Listened to concerns and asked the right questions. Once it was clear that the snaking was the right treatment he described the work and gave me an estimate that he stuck to. Cleaning cut through a root ball near the street. This was confirmed by camera inspection of line. Camera also showed some breaks and offsets in line under our front yard. Ricky suggested several alternative repairs and recommended installation of a liner, which would fix the reoccurring issues without requiring us to dig up mature shrubbery and pavement. There was no hard sell and no BS as best I could tell.

I wanted to keep the original handles on my shower but replace the valves. One was leaking badly. Also wanted a new toilet replaced. I was very happy with the results and would use Tom again.

Tom showed up when he said he would. He was very professional and gave us an estimate of the cost before he started working. He was able to do the work in a timely manner and was able to change the valve without damaging the shower tile. He was very clean and efficient. Everything works great now!

My old plumbers just lost a customer because I will call Tom?s when I need a plumber in the future. When my ?regular? plumbers were not available, I called several local plumbers that were rated high on Angie?s List and some that were discussed on a free rating service. Tom answered his phone and was able to schedule an appointment that was convenient for me. (Some of the other plumbers still have not returned my message; two others did call me back the following day.) Tom and Robert called when they were on their way to my house and arrived on time. They listened to my explanation regarding my reoccurring plumbing issues and immediately went to work on resolving it. Although I was just looking for the current plumbing blockage to be fixed, Tom also explained what the ongoing cause was and gave me an approximation of the cost to resolve it. When the blockage was cleared, Tom and Robert cleaned up after themselves ? and Robert even sprayed down the chairs on the front porch while I was discussing the plumbing issue with Tom. They know what they are doing, behave professionally, and charge a reasonable fee. Unfortunately I know I will need a plumber again. Fortunately, I now have a great plumbing resource to help me.
