Description of Work: We were told we needed a $400.00 repair. When Tom got there he thoroughly explained why that repair was not necessary and what the issue was with the plumbing. He made the necessary repairs, saved us money, even made a couple of adjustments outside his scope of work at no charge. After having another plumber out there twice and not getting the issue resolved we were ecstatic with Tom's results. We will definitely use his services in the future and highly recommend that anyone having plumbing issues do so as well!

Description of Work: I had a gas leak near my gas meter. Gas Company inspected the meter and found that the leak was my side, in a run going out to the back yard. I would be responsible for fixing it. | |At first I had a different plumber come out. They thought the leak was probably in the fittings immediately adjacent to the meter but could be in the buried line. They weren't absolutely sure but it would cost a few hundred to change the fittings and a few thousand to dig up the line. I took a chance and had them replace the fittings. That cost me hundreds of dollars and didn't work. | |Then I had Tom's Quality Plumbing come out. Tom and Robert were prompt, friendly and courteous. | |They actually traced the line and managed to find exactly where the leak was. And yes, it was buried. | |Then they tackled the tough part, digging down around the line and repairing it in place. | |With a great deal of very hard but meticulous work on a very hot day they managed to access and repair the leak without destroying my concrete walkway. (The other guys had said they'd have to bust a lot of concrete if they dug the line.) | |In the end, thanks to Tom and Robert, the leak was fixed, my walkway was intact and the final bill was much, much lower than it might have been. | |I'm very pleased with the results and I'll definitely be using them again. (This week, in fact. I have another project lined up for them.)

Description of Work: I called and set up an appointment for 12/5 with Tom. He called back the following day to let me know that he realized he would not be in town that day. He gave me the name of another plumber, who worked out just fine. I was very pleased all around.

Description of Work: I've used Tom's Quality Plumbing on two occasions. The first time was when I had a hot water leak underneath the bathroom floor. He came out promptly and did the work in a timely manner. He was very courteous and answered all of my questions. The second time was to replace a leaking faucet in my kitchen. Again, the service was great. The reason I give him only a "fair" rating is because I feel his pricing was extremely expensive. He charged me over $1,200 to repair the leak in my bathroom floor and removed only 4 tiles. For my faucet leak, he charged over $550 to remove my old faucet and install the new one. It was my fault that I didn't ask for an estimate before the faucet removal work was started. However, he never offered an estimate and told me after the work was done that my job cost more than usual because of the difficulty in removing my old faucet. Nice guy, good work, but in my opinion, I paid too much.

Description of Work: Got phone estimate and agreed to have Tom do the work. Tom and partner showed up on time. Helped move heavy materials stored in garage to make room to work on failed water heater. They quickly and professionally removed the failed unit and installed the new unit. This all happened in a total on site of about 3 hrs. They left the work area in much better shape then what they found. They helped move the stored materials back into the garage. They were upbeat and courteous.
