Sotero Fernandez Tree Service

I liked them. The trees were on a slop. Some of them were breaking a fence. I thought they were great. the price was great. I called them and they came out did a bid. Then they came the next day. The guys were very good.

The price was the same as the other estimates I had obtained, but I went with Sotero in part because they were available sooner. Everything started on time (even a little early). The work was supervised by the owner's son, who was very personable. The workers were very professional and moved quickly. Everything went very smoothy. I was pleased and would recommend them highly.

He was on time for the estimate. The estimate was a fair price. returned to the home in the afternoon and removed the tree. The service was excellent and professional. He cleaned up and left the area in great condition.

They were wonderful, they did a good job and everything! I called them and asked for an estimate. They were the one that gave me the better estimate, so I called them and told them to come the next day. It was probably a month ago. It cost a hundred dollars for their services. I like that they were very professional, they came and did the work. They were not just wandering around. They did everything. Actually I had gone to work that day, by the time I came back from work and had some sleep, when I woke up I found that my brother was there with them and they were doing the work already. Their response to my needs was great. They were here on time. I would use them in the future.

They were able to come out and provide a bid within days of my initial call. Scheduling an appointment was a breeze. On the scheduled day, the crew showed up on time and did a fantastic job of removing the trees and keeping the site cleaned up. We have already recommended them to others, including a family member who has used them as well.

He and his crew were punctual, professional, did a beautiful job, and cleaned up afterward. All of the debris was hauled away. His estimate was much more reasonable than the other referral I got from another referral service. I was very happy with the experience and will use Sotero for tree care in the future.

I was very happy with all the work tehy did. But, I believe this was more than I paid for similar work in the past. I went with this bid because I wanted the work done quickly. I will get more bids next time.

They did a beautiful job. The tree looks very natural. They were on the property to give an estimate within an hour and performed the work 2 days later. Cleanup was immaculate.

The tree was in the side yard, with nothing but a gate between it and the driveway, so the level of difficulty here was not very high. The men came to work on a Saturday morning, and within 40 minutes the tree was gone, the low stump was treated with something to kill the roots, and all debris was swept up. Fabulous!! Except that Mr. Sotero then requested that I make the check out to him, personally, not to his company. This, plus the weekend work, made me suspect under-the-table workers. And then I shuddered as I remembered seeing one worker up in the tree with a small chain saw, NO safety harness on him, and I realized that an accident could have been awful, and left me wide open to lawsuits and financial hardship. Yikes. No, I would never again trust Fernandez Sotero, who certainly seems a charming man, to do work for me.

I called them about removing 1 tree in my front yard, when Site to came out, he asks me about a tree in my backyard also. I like the price for both trees and we agreed he would take out one tree now and the other tree the next month. When I called to get the other tree out it was very had to get him to commit to a date to do it and was rude on a couple of the calls. He finally called back and spoke to my wife, came out to look at the tree he had offers to make me a deal on and told her it would be an additional $300 as he had made a mistake on his estimate, my wife then agreed to it without me knowing about it. Having worked in industries where you give an estimate and your estimate is agreed to, if you screw up your quote that is your fault and you should eat the cost of the job. Also my I laws used them and they didn't really do the job right the first time and it took a long time to get them back. So I would be very cautious and make sure it is done right before you pay them.

They gave me a very fair quote to remove a very large Eucalyptus and trim several trees in my yard. They were able to use a cherry picker - (their own) and a large chipper to do the job. The crew consisted of at least 5 men. I was flabbergasted when they finished the job within 90 min. Cleaned up the sight completely after trees were done.

My appointment was for 7:30am and they were here at 7:30am. A crew of five came, and they had a large cherry picker and chipper. They did not climb the tree. They placed cones around their vehicle, making it easy for my neighbors to pass. As requested, they brought the crown of the tree down by taking approximately 15 feet off the top. Then they shaped and laced the tree. They put all of the branches into the chipper, and they raked and cleaned up every leaf and twig. The entire job took just over an hour. I am extremely picky about my front yard, especially my enormous sycamore. I was worried about having it topped, but there was no need to worry. The tree is perfectI It is trimmed, laced, and gorgeous! Everyone who worked on my tree was professional and friendly. I highly recommend Sotero Fernandez Tree Care. They know what they are doing, and they do it extremely well.

They were fabulous. Their prices were very reasonable. They were timely and tidy. They did a great job. I would use them again in a heartbeat and have recommended them to others.

They arrived on time, cut down the trees, disposed of the branches, etc. and ground down the stumps. They left the area completely clean and neat, all evidence of the trees was gone.

Oh my goodness! How fantastic! I am located in South Carolina; need help on property in California ASAP. I got a call very early this morning that a very tall pine tree had to be removed immediately as the roots have had the septic/water lines clogged for a few days. I found out that the 'city' of Santa Ana was saying the tree is located on the home owner's property and the city also was saying the roots are the home owner's responsibility, and (of course) the 'city' was not going to take any responsibility. So, for our family's safety we had to get this taken care of asap. Again, I am located in SC, 3 hours in time away from California, it was 8:00 am here, 5:00 am over in CA, I thought well my first response has to be to go to Angie's List and see if any tree professionals areavailable. I found many; I did "sort" by responses. I started calling, getting just voice mail at these companies stating their hours are 9:00 am, (GOSH, I thought) that's noon here, I did leave messages with 6 companies. I did not stop calling, the next company I dialed and got a live person! I was so surprised! Time in CA 6:30 am, and a live person! I explained that I was in SC, time was 3 hours difference, I continued to tell him what was going on, and he listened so patiently. He told me he was near the location and familiar with the area. I asked if he could please go and take a look and see. WOW, he was so nice, he assured me he would go over and he would call me as soon as he knew more. Sure enough, he called me and said yes he couldremove the tree, it was very tall, I think over 20 ft. He told me another pine tree nearly the same size was also rooting down and he would remove it at a very reasonable price being he was there. He quoted me a price, and said he would also haul all debris and clean up, and take total responsibility while there and guarantee satisfaction. He was licensed, insured, and showed copy of all this info and also provided it on the written estimate! WONDERFUL! I could not believe the difference at the before and after pictures, and the before and after comments. Days before even the neighbors were getting concerned! and now the neighbors and many spectators are so impressed and shocked. They say the VERY HIGH and huge trees with the very LONG branches and the location - on top of a hill. Some spectators, including a couple of military in uniform, say they were amazed as they watched Sotero Fernandez and his crew work, so professionally, with such care and safety for everyone and everything. Said it was something you see on the "How They Do It" television shows. Yes, we definitely recommend them and will continue to call upon them when needed. The other companies I left messages with, only one of them returned my call, and she called 7 hours after I left message, (5 pm my time). Soreto Fernandez Tree Care Company answered call right away, and his response was record breaking! The work he and his trained crew performed, very professional !

I was impressed by the professionalism of the crew. They were quick, & worked hard to remove a 45 year old olive tree that had taken over the front yard and a large orange tree that was past its years for baring edible fruit. We can now start with a clean slate. We plan on using more of their services in the near future.
