ANAHEIM DOOR

Working with Anaheim Door was a pleasure. When I started the process, I had no idea what I wanted. I thought that I wanted faux wood doors, but the more research I did, the more convinced I became that faux wood provided little advantage over real wood. Anaheim Door was the only garage door retailer that I could find that had full-sized samples of a variety of doors in their showroom. The salesman (George) were very helpful and informative and never tried to make a hard sell. On my first visit, I looked, asked questions and left and never felt pressured. By my second visit, I knew that I wanted wood doors and was immediately attracted to their Country House line of carriage house style wood doors. I knew that my installation would be complicated due to low headroom and built-in cabinets, so I arranged for one of their salesmen to visit my residence to view the installation requirements. Based on this visit and my choice of doors, a detailed cost estimate was prepared. The contract was signed and doors were ordered and secured with a $1,000 deposit during the third week of April with installation tentatively scheduled for mid-May (about 3-week lead time on the doors). However, due to problems with other contractors involved with my renovation project, the garage door openings were not ready for installation of the new doors until late June. Anaheim Door (Martin) was very understanding and supportive throughout this process as I repeatedly scheduled and postponed the installation. In late June, when the installer arrived, he recommended that I not install the doors as it was his opinion that the cast molding surrounding the door openings had not been correctly installed. His concern was that the poor construction would compromise the appearance of his work and that was something that he was not willing to accept. As this confirmed my suspicion, I fired the molding contractor and had to find a replacement to fix and complete the work. Finally in August, the garage door openings were repaired and the door installation scheduled. The installers did an amazing job. It was clear from the start that they were treating the job with the same care that they would if they were working on their own homes. They worked hard throughout the day with hardly a break. I'm a do-it-yourselfer, very conscious of my garage, and very critical of other people's work - and I could not be more satisfied with the work that these installers did. Very satisfied and highly recommended - and thanks to the installer for pointing out the inadequacies with the molding installation during his first visit as the concrete molding surrounding the door openings is now installed correctly and looks much better.

The Anaheim Door representative inspected our garage as well as the existing opening mechanism on our old wood door. He said the mechanism was fine and quoted approx $800 for the new door. Because the dimensions were not 'stock' it took over 3 weeks of MY calling them for status reports before the install was ever scheduled. Over the next few months, the door has continually "shimmied" and stop closing or return to open. When called about it were instructed to frequently oil it which we did. In May the opening mechanism torqued sideways (due to all the shimmying). They realigned it, replaced a switch, and told us it would be fine. July 7th the opening mechanism torqued again with my car "locked in the garage". As soon as it occurred (just after 6pm), I called all their numbers listed in Orange County and Los Angeles telling them I had an emergency, asked for them to call back as soon as possible, As of 7/11/2014 I have never heard back from them!! I had to have the opening mechanism totally dismantled in order to get my car out of the garage and go to work this week.

I visited their showroom after I had done some research of my own. They had plenty of doors to choose from and I selected the Casitas steel doors with added insulation and glass windows. We found out later that new openers were needed because the new doors are "up and over" and the length of the existing rails was too short. The installer arrived at the arranged time and everything was done in one day. I was surprised that the installation could be done by someone on their own! I am very happy with the service and the new doors.

I had called approx 4-5 other Angie's list providers. Two did not return my calls and three provided estimates. A good friend was replacing her garage door as well so we alternated between our homes for estimates and we were both present when all estimates were given. We asked a ton of questions and learned a lot to make an informed decision. We both purchased the same door model, the Clemente with the same windows and a belt drive LiftMaster door opener. I also chose an upgraded smart phone compatible door opener at an additional cost. We each had different needs though, she had to have some wood frame replaced and I had to have a double track due to low headroom. We both liked and felt good about everyone associated with Angie's list that came out but the deal breaker was the fact that Anaheim Door has been in business for 20+ years and had the best warranty on both the door AND hardware. I did find a bit of a communication challenge that resulted in two charges that came as a surprise. After the home estimate was completed my friend and I went to the showroom to see the displays and order our doors. In reviewing the contact I discovered there was an additional charge for the low headroom double tracking and I changed the door color from white to almond after ordering and learning there was an additional charge when I received my order change confirmation email. When I voiced concern regarding charges that had not been communicated prior to being charged they were prompt to waive them and provide me with corrected documentation. I am, however, very happy with the door, the service and the process. I found them to be accessible (real person every time I called), prompt and responsive, patient with lots of questions, complete and quick with contract documentation and revisions, and finally care and attention to detail with installation and cleanup. I would recommend them to others and use them again myself.

Smooth and professional from start to finish. They even came out ahead of time to open my old door (which I bought from them 20 years ago) because I couldn't get my car out. Oh, and they didn't charge me for that.

Found Anaheim Door on Angie's List, read the reviews and visited their nearby office. People there were helpful in selecting a new door and in providing price and timing details. The door had to be ordered from back East, so that caused a minor delay, but it arrived on schedule and the installation was flawless. They hauled away the old door, showed how to work the new one and got the job done in just a matter of hours. Professional staff and work crew. No complaints whatsoever. Would highly recommend.

The worker actually arrived a few minutes early and was done in the amount of time projected. He was pleasant and efficient. He cleaned the area up nicely when done and explained his product to my satisfaction.

Our existing garage door was in bad shape, the opener was underpowered and the door style was dated. We visited the Anaheim Door showroom in Anaheim and discussed different door options with the showroom manager. He spent a good amount of time discussing the different door material, window and opener options that they offered. He answered all of our questions and we felt like they offered a number of different options for doors, windows and openers at different price points. The showroom is setup with demonstration models of the doors and openers which is really helpful. Another member of the Anaheim Door team came to our house and prepared a written price quote for us. He took pictures and measured our existing door opening and left us with the quote. After receiving several quotes we decided to go with Anaheim Door for a number of reasons: 1. The price for the door, components and opener was reasonable relative to the value of the product. 2. Anaheim Door was able to include frosted glass without an extra charge where other garage door installers would have had to custom order and install the glass. 3. Anaheim Door included the remote opener for free. 4. The sales team knew their stuff, were able to answer questions and provide good options without being pushy about making a sale. 5. They are a local established company that wasn't a fly-by-night installer. We got the sense that they would stand behind their product and installation. We scheduled the install and the guys arrived on time as scheduled. The old doors, opener and hardware was removed and removed. The new doors, hardware, opener and remote were installed in a couple hours. The installers left everything clean and tidy after they were done. They walked us through the door operating procedures before departing. We are very happy with the new door and opener. It even works when the power is out which is a big plus.

The work went smoothly. Using the old paperwork, I attempted to contact the original salesperson. He had left the company, but our previous records were available to his replacement. The installation of the new door went smoothly, using the rails installed for the original door.

Job went smoothly, prompt arrival and professional installation. Only problem was that the opening/closing sensitivity was not set correctly after install, so soon after the installer left, the garage door stopped working. We called Anaheim and they had a service guy out the next day to resolve the issue. Overall, handled in a very professional manner with customer service as the utmost priority.

The work provided and the price charged was excellent. I called the company in the morning and described the problem with the door. A price was quoted and the tech showed up that afternoon and did the repairs. They were prompt, professional, and for the amount of work done, I am very satisfied wth the price.

Was in the market to replace our old wooden sectional garage doors. Phoned many people but found only 2 with an actual showroom. Anaheim Door had the best showroom by far. Place was clean and people were friendly and professional. They pointed out many features that I hadn't even thought of and pointed out pros and cons of various configurations and styles. I chose them because not only because of the showroom but their steel gauge is thicker and their price was competitive with the others. They arrived as scheduled. Ran into a problem with my header configuration and after talking it over with the home office came up with a solution that was neat, attractive, and very professional. The workers were friendly and professional. As one said, we want this to look like it was in our own home.

They were referred to me by my neighbor. They are a good company and have good products. Everything turned out fine. There was a slight delay in getting the door from the manufacture. The customer service and the sales staff were not very good but the installers were very good.

Overall, the experience was great. The technician was very courteous and the job was well done. They were able to arrive soon after I called. Their price was reasonable. I'm happy with their services.

Kent was very professional and answered many questions for us! I felt we were much more educated about the process because of him. THe price was excellent for the garage door services they offered. We ultimately decided not to go with Anaheim door because of a bulk order with Home Depot. However, we very much enjoyed meeting with Kent and Anaheim Door is very good at what they do.

Went to the showroom in Anaheim. Salesman was attentive and helpful. Selected the door that we wanted, windows and opener. Deposit was approx. $250 with balance due on install. We stated that we needed a Saturday install due to my work schedule. It was a bit long before we got an install date due to the need for weekend install, but my calling in to check on it helped get that scheduled. On the install date they arrived on time. They did a nice job installing the door and opener. They setup all of the remotes, assisted in getting the car homelink working and cleaned up after themselves. The final product was excellent and the install was done very well. They are not selling the cheapest doors in town, but they carry what appears to be very good quality products. I think that their prices are fair compared to the competitions higher end products. It's now been a month since the install and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

We were in the midst of an extensive home remodel when we finally came to the realization that our plan to save a little money by reusing an existing roll-up sectional garage door (not from Anaheim Door!) was going to have a very negative affect on the overall appearance of the new and dramatically altered facade of our house. With construction plans in hand, including our architect's drawings of the finished facade, I visited Anaheim Door's showroom in Anaheim. They quickly produced a catalog showing a door that was basically identical to the one our architect had drawn on our plans, right down to the architectural embellishments. It was perfect. A technician was dispatched the next day to take physical measurements, even though I provided a copy of our framing spec's to them. As the door frame was a non-standard size, our new door had to be custom built to fit our door opening and to keep the proportions of the architectural panels balanced in appearance. As this garage is intended for uses other than housing automobiles, Anaheim Door had the standard galvanized door tracks powder coated white, although we could have chosen any color. The door installer / technician showed up on time and spent most of the day installing our door, making sure that everything fit properly and functioned properly. This is a very important thing to know! Many garage door companies pay their installers by the door installation, so the installers rush to get the job done and move on to the next job. Not so with Anaheim Door! Their installers get paid by the hour and they take as much time as they need to get the job done right. Needless to say our new door matches our architect's drawings to a tee, looks great and functions great. Our general contractor had not previously worked with Anaheim Door and was quite impressed, not just with how well our custom door had turned out, but also with the fact that the installer took his time to make sure everything was perfect. Our contractor remarked that he had never seen, or more specifically, heard such a quiet roll-up sectional door. It was a fairly expensive custom made door, with custom hardware, but worth every penny! This is the second time we have purchased an roll-up sectional door from Anaheim Door and we plan to use them again in the not too distant future for another project.

Their service was excellent and they were very fair. The 2 people that came out to do the job spoke excellent English. They were both obviously born here and they were very professional. The whole experience was great.

Went great. They came, they inspected, and they conquered the damaged garage door! They were punctual, they were honest and they were nice to deal with!

He was very timely in his work and knowledge of garage doors. During his service visit, I asked him about my handheld garage door opener as it was not working properly. After examining it, the opener had a faulty chip. He bypassed the system and reprogrammed so it worked like a gem. He did not charge me for the work on the handheld opener. The company offers friendly service and honesty. The serviceman displays a good work ethic.
