Andy was fantastic! It was Saturday morning and we were relaxing at home. We had just recently moved into our 1931 spanish style home. Our pest control company checked our basement that morning and informed us it was flooded near the water heater. Being new home owners, we were very unsure how to handle this emergency situation especially since it was a Saturday when most businesses are closed. We found Andy Castillo on Angie's list and called him immediately. I left a message and within minutes received a call back from Andy himself. Although it was a Saturday, Andy was available to help us and came over within a couple hours. When he arrived, he quickly assessed the problem and gave us a very reasonable price to fix it @ $150 for materials and labor. He fixed the problem in less than half an hour and we haven't had any problems since. He also gave us his honest opinion regarding the lifespan of our water heater and informed us that we still had several months to go before it needed to be replaced. A couple weeks later, Andy returned to repair our kitchen faucet free of charge! The spout of our kitchen faucet had fallen off and we couldn't figure out how to fix it. We called Andy and he arranged to come by and look at it. He fixed it in less than five minutes and didn't charge us anything for fixing it! We will continue to use Andy's services in the future and found him to be honest, professional, prompt, and reasonably priced.

Mr. Castillo is an absolute pro. He and his assistant arrived on-time, and completed several small plumbing projects within an hour. Also, he needed to replace a part on my Kohler toilet, and instead of using a generic part, he made arrangements to buy the Kohler piece (more expensive) and installed it two days later. I highly recommend this company.

I have used Andy Castillo once before and had a fantastic experience, so when my kitchen sink started leaking this weekend I called to see if he could come take a look. He was easy to get a hold of, was available to come over the same day I called (although I scheduled him for the next morning to suit my work schedule) and he showed up exactly on time. He took a look at my faucet and embarassingly enough basically just unscrewed it, removed something that was causing blockage, and screwed it back. The sink stopped leaking immediately. I did not flinch in trying to pay him for the cost of a visit, but because the problem was so simple he did not even ask for payment. He and his assistant were a pleasure to work with, obviously know what they are doing, and more rare than that, are unbelievably honest and integrity filled business men. I will use Andy Castillo for all future plumbing needs.

My husband and I were in escrow on a house in Pasadena. The house was described as needing some cosmetic fixes. The inspection revealed it was one step away from tear down. My husband and I loved the house so we were going to give it a shot and see how much it would cost to fix it's many many many many issues. I found Castillo Plumbing on Angie's list. They came out and looked at all the plumbing issues I had. They were professional and extremely punctual. Their advice, along with other trade professionals, led my husband and I to walk away from the house. I appreciated their honesty. I'm still on the market for a house. We needed a new water heater due to the old one being very old, and we were experiencing some thumping noises throughout the day with pipes making a banging noise too. Andy was the only guy to tell us that the problem was a worn out pressure regulator. Another guy told us that the pipes needed to be tied down. Andy sounded like he knew what he was talking about and he explained things about the water heater too. We decided to let him do the job. Andy installed the water heater with new flex lines and earthquake straps. He also put in the new water pressure gauge and solved our problem. NO MORE NOISES! He and his worker did a wonderful job. They were very neat, fast, and polite. Thank you Andy for fixing our plumbing. We would definitely hire you again.

Castillo is very easy to work with. You can always get in touch with them by phone and they gave me an estimated time of arrival. They came and saw what the problem was and told me they would be back the next day with the replacement faucet. Since the leak was small, I could continue to use the sink. They arrived on time the next day and quickly replaced the leaking faucet with a beautiful single handled faucet. They covered the floor with a tarp, which I very much appreciated, and they cleaned up the sink area and floor before they left. It was a very professional experience.

The job went very well. They gave me options, explained what had to be done, and in each case, how much it would be. When I decided to change directions, they were very accommodating; for example, not just fixing the sink but replacing it quickly. I think they came within one day or so, and then with the changes that I wanted, they came in the next day and took care of it. They even came back when I had problem with the free thing they did for me. I just wanted to know how I could fix that thing myself but they came right back the next day. They were really eager to please and get things right and gave options. The cost was very reasonable for what I needed done. When they found problems as they went along, they pointed out what I could do about it in a big or a small way. They were friendly and understanding of my particular needs and stuff. I would recommend them to anybody and would use them again in the future.

Called our previous (well-known) plumbers (Kevin Shaw Plumbing) and they came out, charged a fortune, estimated more work in the thousands, and fixed nothing. (Then admitted later that they didn't work with the high-end stuff, but wouldn't return any part of fee.) Disaster! Found Andy Castillo Plumbing. Andy knew exactly what the problem was and diagnosed over the phone (which jibed with what the manufacturer told me). He came out at once, assessed the problem quickly, (did some unrelated minor work while there, gratis) ordered needed parts, came out again when the parts came in, repaired quickly. All with the most professional attitude, lovely personality, and a real desire to please customers and get return business. On top of that, his fee was more than reasonable--he gave me every discount possible and the work ended up costing a fraction of the insane estimate I had gotten previously. (He didn't even charge me retail on the parts; he charged only his cost.) Andy is truly knowledgeable, completely professional, loves what he does, and really cares about his customers and building repeat business. He'll have my business for life--and anyone else I can stop on my street to rave about him. THANK YOU, ANDY! :-)

The entire was good. He called to first tell me he was busy and would come out the next day. I usually do not calls like that. It was refreshing. He came out the next day and completed the job in just over an hour and a half. I would definitely use him again. A plus is that he local to my area.

My 20+ year old hot water heater developed a leak. That and a number of other small drips around the house that I didn't have the time to address myself spurred me to look for a plumber. I called three plumbers...two off of Angie's List and one recommended by a friend. Only the two off of Angie's list returned the call. Although both appered professional, Mr. Castillo most impressed us with his knowledge and care for customer service. He alos provided the most cost effective solution. Throughout the process he was always on time, kept his work area clean and cleaned up after himself. We live on a busy street and he was carful to move and position his vehicle around the needs of our trash and pool services. He also worked around our schedule--never complaining when we asked him to change the date for the install. There were no surprises . . . everything was delivered as promised on time in a quality manner. My mother had a term that fits Mr. Castillo very well . . . he is a perfect "Christian gentleman." Over the years I have worked with many different plumbers on larg and small projects alike, and before now I would never have recommended them to anyone. I would strongly recommend his Castillo Plumbing to anyone in need of plumbing services.

So Andy and his helper went to work and in about a half hour they had completed the job (in addition to mounting the sink to the wall, which had not been done before.) No charge for this. They also cleaned up my sink which was somewhat messy. When they were through I was very satisfied with their professional approach and the work they had done! Thank goodness I used Angie's list (they honored the 10% discount also.) since in the past having a plumber come out had been a "hit and miss" situation. I was relieved to see all the positive feedback about Andy and his work -- even before I called this morning, I was reassured that I would be receiving good work. He gave me a 2 hour window and arrived in the first 15 minutes of that window. Wonderful job! Could not have been easier or better. I am MORE than completely satisfied.

Andy was fabulous! I came home from work Thursday evening and discovered that the water draining from our kitchen sink was gushing put through a crack in the stucco on the side of the house!! We called Andy based on all of his wonderful reviews and he came over first thing Friday morning. He diagnosed the problem and fixed it. He suggested installation of an external trap entry so that we could snake the pipe easily in the future. He then discovered that we also had a massive clog downstream of the burst pipe. He rearranged his schedule so that he could repair that for us. He ended up spending almost all day making sure that everything was working perfectly. He even showed us the pieces of severely clogged pipe that he had to replace. I had also been having some problems with the garbage disposal and he replaced it that same day with one that was much quieter than the original. We will use Andy for all of our future plumbing needs.

Andy arrived about 1-1/2 hours after we called him, got the job done in less than an hour, and left the kitchen cleaner than when he arrived. A totally satisfactory experience. Price was exactly what he quoted on the phone.

He was fabulous. He was amazing. There is a reason that this man is rated so high on Angie's List. He is the first plumber I've had who came back when I called him. I had an issue that happened in doing the job and I called him at 7'O clock on a Sunday and he took the time to do it on a weekend which he didn't have to. He gave me a fair estimate. He also honored the Angie's List 10% discount. I would highly recommend him. I would call him back. He is an honest and a good business man.
