Andy Castillo Plumbing

I called Mr. Castillo for a bid on replacing my water heater. We made an appointment. He was punctual, polite, and very professional. He gave me a detailed bid, which was in the price range for the water heater I wanted. The only reason I did not hire him for the job was that I ran into a plumber who had previously done work for me (I’d lost his phone number, that’s why I was looking at other plumbers on the List).

Having diagnosed the problem we committed to fixing the plumbing problem on Saturday morning. He understood that I had a Mother's Day party and that there was a sense of urgency in fixing the problem. He evaluated the situation and determined the leak was coming from our garbage disposal. He told me the lifespan of the current model I had in my kitchen was 5 years and sure enough my records indicate that it was about 5.5 years old. He helped me select a better, quieter disposal and installed it Saturday morning.He committed to be at my home at 8:30 am and was on time. He was professional and went right to work. I am very pleased with the new disposal and the courtesy and quality of work.

Great experience. After finding Castillo Plumbing on Angie's List for my elderly neighbor, we were completely satisfied. Andy was prompt, thoroughly professional and very responsive. I was very comfortable dealing with Andy and felt he had my neighbor's best interest in mind throughout our interaction with him. I would not hesitate to use him for my own plumbing needs and would highly recommend him.

The biggest problem was the tree root which the snake was having problems doing thru. The snake had to go approximately 150' to get to the sewer. It took them three times to get thru. They are suggesting that I look at repairing the problem pipe in the future.

I located Andy Castillo Plumbing from Angie's List, and this was my "first Angie's List experience. I arranged for an appointment time, described the work I needed completed and received an estimated cost. Andy was very accomodating, arrived as scheduled and completed the work in a very pleasant professional, efficient and timely manner. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend Castillo Plumbing and would certainly use his services again if the need should arise.

My problem was a shower faucet that continued to drip, then drizzle water, even after replacing with new o-rings a little over 3 weeks ago. I called Andy and was able to get a next day appointment. I did say that it was not an emergency, because I turned off my water main when we didn't need to use the water. Next day, Andy showed up at my house and was friendly and reassuring. I showed him my leaky shower faucet and he assured me that it was going to be an easy fix.I felt that he could have easily taken advantage of the situation and insisted on additional changes (read cost.) However, he say that I simply didn't tighten the shower valve seat enough and it was spinning freely, resulting in water leaks. So quick and easy fix and huge relief! Thanks Andy!

We are having our house painted and we wanted a new cover for the water heater. The painter suggested a relative to put a new cover for the water heater. We agreed and he did the job, but it was a BAD job. We did not trust him fixing it, so we called Andy to fix the job. Luckily, Andy was able to come quickly and told us he could do the job before the painter was to come back. Andy totally fixed the problems and did a GREAT job for us. Andy did more than what was called for and he did not charge us any more than what was originally quoted. Thanks again Andy!

Service was on time, well done, and at a reasonable cost. Definitely will continue using this provider.

He had all the proper equipment to fix issue. Also, he fixed the leaky faucet in the kitchen.

Couldn't ask for more--Andy was great. It was almost 6pm and I found Andy on Angie's list and called him. He was here in under an hour, fixed the faucet and turned the water back on. He was quick, efficient, and extremely nice. I thought what he billed me was a great price especially considering it was an emergency call, and I will definitely call him again and recommend him to friends.

I found him on Angie's list. I appreciated him coming out so quickly. He got the job taken care of quickly for me. If the need arises again I will call him for services.

Our whole house stopped draining, completely and unexpectedly, this afternoon. We called Andy who was able to arrive within about an hour and a half of our call. Having located the cleanout for the house, he got right to work and spent about two hours snaking the drain to about 100 feet out. The job was very successful - all drains draining again! Andy was super polite and professional; we found his calm manner very reassuring. And he made not a single mention of the fact that we'd called him out on a Saturday, and a holiday weekend no less. We would definitely call Andy again!

Is there ever a good time for clogged pipes? Certainly not a Saturday night, when all you want to do is relax with the family, and maybe do a load of laundry while watching a movie. Too bad the plumbing leading from the washer was clogged, causing a mess behind it and also backing up into the adjacent sink and shower. Andy Castillo was the man on the spot. Within 30 minutes of calling him, he was at the house and quickly sized up the situation. He snaked a huge mess of hair and lint from the pipes and we're back to our relaxing evening, while Andy is off to another emergency call. Andy was professional, punctual and very efficient. There's no doubt we'll call on him again, and we'll certainly recommend him to our friends and neighbors.

Andy came to my house for a whole house re plumbing estimate but never came back with a price. Left a few message on his phone but no response.

The bathroom sink was constantly clogging until he came to do the work. He was here for about 4.5 hours doing the work. He was on time, polite, clean, and was hard working. Just as he was leaving I remembered I needed a new fitting and a line for my hot water heater in my garage. He said he had one in my truck. He was very cheerfuly and willing to do that work. He did that totally unexpectedly and was very glad to do that extra work when he originally thought he was done with the work. We were so impressed with how nice he was and were impressed with the work he did.

He did a really good job. He went right to work. He was efficient and on time. We are really happy with it and it works very well now. We had him to do some work for us the week before and he was able to fit us in within a week to do this project for us. He was really booked at the time and he made the effort to come out and do this work for us in a timely fashion.

Andy was professional and prompt. The price was a fair for the work performed and we even got a 90 day warranty. I was extremely happy with the work performed and now have peace of mind!

Andy immediately responded to my call. Once we started communicating, I found he has the upmost professional courtesy and quality of care in what he does. He also has a great sense of humor. He had finished everything in half a day.

Mr. Castillo responded to a call on a Friday morning and came right out to our home. He was pleasant, professional and direct and diagnosed our leak and gave us a bid for over $800. for the job. He was willing to do it the following Tuesday. Because we had other plumbers coming for an estimate, we told him we would call him back that afternoon. Shortly afterward, the plumber from Gem Plumbing in Monrovia arrived. He saw that the leak was in an entirely different place and was able to fix it on the spot for $109/ including parts and clean up. Had we hired Mr. Castillo, we would have waited for the repair, one of our walls would have been unnecessarily cut and patched and we would have spent a lot more money without addressing the actual problem.

This is the second time I called on Andy. The first time was to fix a problem we always had - if both bathroom sinks were used at the same time one would always back up. The problem was they were installed by the previous owner (not a plumber) without a vent stack. We lived with this as long as we have lived in the house - over 20 years - because adding a vent stack would have required busting up the mirrored wall behind the sink, adding a pipe up and out to the roof between the studs, etc. - a major headache. Andy had a neat solution - he installed a small spring loaded vent stack that fits under the sink and now the two sinks in the bathroom drain well. This time he fixed the leaky shower and replaced the undersink filter. As with the first time he was here, Andy worked efficiently, explained what the problem was and what he did to fix it, and answered all of my questions. He told me the Body Glove filter he installed is owned by the same company that owns Everpure (the first filter installed), and he also left the spec sheet for the filer. Andy is definitely our guy for all future plumbing work!

It went great as it always does with Andy! We enjoy his company and appreciate his work.

I used him several months ago also within this year. He’s really good. He’s a little more expensive than the others but I think the quality is worth it. I can get a cheaper plumber around here, but the quality of work and the responsiveness is not as good.

Mr. Castillo was consistently courteous and professional - throughout my experience on the phone and in person. He is clean and obviously takes pride in his work. He is more interested in performing a good job than he is his bottom line - at least that is the impression he left with me. I have found my new plumber - he will be the one I call on from now on.

He was absolutely outstanding. I would refer him to anybody.
