Response from Shipley & Sons Construction Co
Thank you for your feedback and experience. As with all customers, we strive to provide the best possible service and deliver accurate and detailed information accordingly. If there is a concern on the pricing quoted to deep clean the members carpets, this should be discussed with the Technician during the Technician's visit as the office has no way to confirm the information. Reviewing the members invoice, it does reflect $59.95. Invoices are signed and dated by each member therefore agreeing to the price indicated and the member's satisfaction of work completed. In the event that a customer is not satisfied, we do offer warranties on most additional services the company provides, such as deep cleaning. Each member is informed of the warranty they are able to take advantage of during the Technicians visit. If the office is contacted by any member and is made aware of their dissatisfaction within the warranties timeframe, the member will be promptly re-scheduled for the Technician to re-service the problem areas. Please understand that we can only estimate the drying time for everyone's flooring to the best of our ability. The Technician will not disclose a single dry time but will provide an estimate of 4-6 hours, 6-8 hours, etc. Since there are many factors associated with dry time such as air circulation, thickness/density of carpet, weather condition and time of day the floor is cleaned, just to name a few, we cannot and will not guarantee a dry time for any customer. Considering the member was the last appointment of the day, monsoon seasons humid conditions and carpets being pre-treated, it is not uncommon for the dry time to take longer than average. This information is typically discussed with each customer when customers inquire. With regard to the van leaking oil on the member's driveway and the scuff marks left behind from the hose, I am unsure of any mechanical or faulty issues with the company van as the van is tuned up and serviced on a regular basis. I have made the Technician aware of this information so that this does not happen to a member moving forward and to inform the office should there be any evidence of oil leakage. Please note that scuff marks are not uncommon. The durable plastic hose does not damage walls or baseboards however, since the 300 foot hose is being dragged room to room, it will rub against the walls and baseboards which may create a mark that is easily removed with a damp wash cloth. I understand that this may pose an inconvenience to a member but his is not something that can be avoided 100% and hope that the positive results of the carpet cleaning will outweigh the minor inconvenience of the scuff marks.
