I'm sorry you were disappointed with our service. I cannot look up your proposal specifically because you not include the address of the property in question. However, there are a few things you mentioned that are not consistent with our policies or procedures. 1)You mentioned that we would only do repairs after closing. In truth we schedule work on a first come first served basis. Right now we are booked out about 6 weeks and if anyone's closing falls after that then we can't possibly do the work prior to a closing date. It's not that we won't, but simply can't. 2) You say our bid says we will fix any items not found by the inspector when on the roof. Actually the line that is on all of or proposals states "The price stated is for the outlined work only. If any additional work outside the scope of the contract is requested and approved by the owner or their agent, additional charges may apply." This statement is intended to clarify that in the event you want something done that is not in our bid you might have to pay for it. It also means that no other work will be done without your specific request. It by no means suggests that something we feel needs to be done may have been missed will be charged afterwards without your consent. It means exactly the opposite in fact. You suggest that we submitted an open ended bid and that we refused to do the work prior to your closing but neither is the case. The fact is that when we are asked to look at a roof for a real estate deal, we have no idea whether we are looking at the roof for a buy or a seller, whether there is a closing date, an offer or whether there is even a buyer at all. I am truly, very sorry that you were disappointed with my company but I think mischaracterizing the facts in an attempt to show my company in the worst possible light does a dis-service to not only myself, but to all others who might read these comments. I am happy however that you found a company that satisfied your needs. I know how stressful selling a house can be. I'm just sorry you felt the need to take your frustrations out on my company.
