I have a different company trimming the tree but the estimator and the owner were always professional and helpful even though I had selected anothe company.

Don't know how good their work is but their bid was FOUR times the other three bids we received.

Great experience, gave my property a needed face lift, staff made difficult job look easy.

Mary and the workers were very professional. Work was completed as requested in a timely manner.

Three men arrived at 7:30 a.m. on 9 Jun 10. Cut down 2 trees, had the proper equiptment to do the job. Two men cut the trees and the other one put the limbs in a shredder. After the two trees were cut down, they used a grinder to grind the trunks 6" below the ground, then covered the holes up. Cleaned all the debris up and put everything back that they had moved. They were gone by 10 a.m.

The crew came in and worked miracles. The yard was completely overgrown and we thought that some of the trees were beyond saving. Carlos and his team cleaned eveything up after doing a great job. Even our neighbors are happy.

The crew came on time and worked until all this hard work was finished. They brought a chipper, so limbs were reduced to chips ready for composting. They cleaned up after themselves wonderfully. The trees look very good. This had never been done in the 49 years I have lived here.

On the big day the crew arrived promptly and worked quickly. I had to leave for work before they started trimming the acacia, but we had a brief conversation so they knew I wanted it to still look natural. When I came home that evening, driving toward my house, the sweet acacia looked so beautiful it took my breath away. (Note: It did take me a while to get used to having more sun and fewer trees, ugly as they were. But I'm very happy with the yard now.) I met new neighbors because people stopped by to say how good the tree and the yard looked. They cleaned up the yard when they were finished, then Mary followed up with a phone call later to make sure I was happy. About a week later, a huge wind broke a branch on the acacia, and she came over, took it off, trimmed another branch for balance, and cleaned up. No charge. Super service!

Company/ individuals showed up on time, and completed the job in approximately 3 hours. The Pine tree was very tall and the trunk was quite thick. Nothing was damaged (house/ property) in the interim. It was a professional and efficient job, and workers hauled away all debris upon completion.

Mary and her crew cut down a 90 ft. pine tree in our backyard. Mary kept us up to date as to the scheduling of the service and guided us though contacting Blue Stake to ensure that there were no utilities in the removal area. We chose to keep the "big wood" for our own use which saved on the overall price. The crew did an excellent job of cleaning up, including the clean up from the stump grinding, which they perform as an extra service. Our removal took 2 days due to the size of the tree. While the crew was waiting for their service truck to return to pick up the stump grinder, Mary had the crew grind down the stump of a mulberry tree that we, ourselves, had cut down previously, at no extra charge. Mary has a very professional and courteous crew. We highly recommend Quality Tree Service. As an added note; another service that we had asked for a quote from, told us to call Mary when he saw the size of the job.

Mary was very accommodating and took the time to explain exactly what my options were and how they would do the job. She even recommended that I rejoin Angie's List for the 20% new customer discount coupon, which saved me a lot of money. Carlos and the crew were very professional and cordial, and Carlos even took the time to talk to me about how they would do the pruning. They cleaned everything up and even cut the wood into fireplace-sized logs and left it where I asked. My trees look spectacular! I asked that they leave them looking as natural as possible, not too symmetrical and with as much "willow" effect on the ends, and that's exactly how they did it. Excellent service all around.

I called Mary and scheduled the tree trimming of 2 trees the following week. A large Mesquite in the back yard and a very overgrown, twisted Ironwood tree in the front yard. Mary came out and looked at the trees and explained to me that the Ironwood had multiple crossed branches and could only be thinned so much due to the branches having been dependant on each other for such a long time. The cutting of them would weaken the tree. She said they would do the best they could under the circumstances. The 2 trimmers arrived right on time and went to work immediately. When they were done with the Ironwood tree, I was amazed! It looked great! Their cleanup left the area looking better than before. It's not often you can say you have enjoyed working with a company and were totally pleased with their work, but that's the case here. I will call them again when the trees need trimming. I will also recommend them to anyone needing their services.

We got a price quote. The crew came out within a few days. The workers were terrific, acted safely and professionally, and were fast and clean. Everything went great except a bit of confusion over the possibility of hitting an underground line. The owner was told that we hadn't heard back from Bluestake regarding all the utilities. We were thinking she would contact them. We would have postponed if we'd had a clearer picture of what was going to happen without the final bluestake report. In the end there was some waiting for the gas company to verify a particular pipe we found. It all ended OK, but it was tense while we waited for the gas company, knowing that the crew had to leave soon for another job. Once they all left, the place was clean and there was little-to-no evidence that the trees had been there at all. I have nothing but praise for the workers. I'm very happy with the job. And yet I am a bit torn on how to rate this company. The work done was excellent, fast, professional and very reasonably priced. It was the owner/estimator we struggled with. While she did respond promptly and seemed to be knowlegeable, her unwillingness (inability?) to stop talking - often on completely unrelated topics - made it very unpleasant to deal with her. I realize someone else might not have found this annoying, but when someone I'm trying to work with talks so unstoppably that I find myself avoiding them (other than email), I feel that is important enough to state here. So, yes, I would recommend them. With reservations.

I called for a quote to remove an African Sumac tree and trim palm trees, and Mary responded promptly. They emailed me a quote right away and we scheduled the date. The crew arrived as scheduled. The foreman, Carlos, was very professional and reviewed the work being done before they started. They were quick and cleaned up after themselves. They did a beautiful job with the palms, and there is no sign of the tree stump.

I had hired another party to do some minor work in the garden and made the mistake of not checking on the work before paying. When I surveyed the work and found minimal was done, I hit the net and saw quality trees with its nine good reviews. I phoned the company and the rest was history. What I appreciate about the owner Mary is the way she arrives at a quote. Once she arrives at a quote, that is it. It actually engenders trust in me because if I can negotiate a lower rate, which then is the real rate? Cutting trees is not something with fixed rate. The work was done professionally. And then I asked for a bush to be removed. I came back and could not believe my eyes. That corner of the garden which I never liked to go near because it was full of small brushes were completely cleared, and cleaned. It practically took my breath away. I thanked Carlos profusely, the man in charge of the work and who did the work. He was very appreciative of my appreciation revealing pride in his work which is another aspect I like about companies. When we had another job, thinning of an immensely tall Eucalyptus tree, Carlos came through for us again. The young man, serious, and meticulous was very careful with his work, inspiring confidence. When I thanked him, he told me Mary is very good and meticulous. The work is that, very well done and the entire yard raked and cleared. They demonstrate what professionalism is about, the work done was very professional. I would definitely go with them again.

We got estimates from this company as well as Bartlett Tree Trimming. The quoted prices were comparable, but the estimator from Quality seemed slightly more interested in explaining the motivation for everything and providing information for us to better maintain our plants (I came in knowing essentially nothing about tree maintenance). In setting everything up I spoke with the owner, Mary Schlachter, on the phone a few times. She was very friendly and seemed like she really cared about the work and getting everything right. The actual trimming was done very well (I don't have anything to compare it to, but still), and the trimmers were very receptive to my request that they trim some extra branches from a tree in the front that was getting in the way of a lamp post. They did miss one tree on their first visit that had been included in the estimate, but they came back within a couple days and finished. It was my first time paying someone to trim trees, but it was a very positive experience overall. They also donated $10 of the total price to the Community Food Bank, which I thought was nice. (This wasn't advertised up front, but when it came time to write the check, I was asked to write a separate check to the food bank, which I was happy to do)

Excellent service from a skilled landscaping crew. They exceeded our high expectations and our trees have never looked better. The cost was more than $100 less than a quote we received from one other local landscaper. The job was done quickly and the crew did a very thorough job of cleaning up. We highly recommend this company to anyone that is looking for tree service of the highest quality at a very fair price.

The job ended up being more costly than originally estimated, due to a crane being needed to shorten a very tall tree. This company responded quickly to our concerns about the cost and we were able to reach an agreement on the job. This company has high regard for their customers, and a wealth of knowledge. I also appreciated their concern for safety and the health of our trees.

They did an excellent job. They trimmed it in such a way that I did not have to keep up with the trimming at all. They did an excellent job of cleaning up. Everyone who I worked with was very professional. I was very happy with them. They gave me a discount because I was a member of Angie's List. I thought that even before the discount the price was fair. They were very responsive and they took the time to answer all of my questions. The manager really knows what she is doing. I will probably hire them again in the future.

The guys did a great job on the tree and left the yard completely clean after the work was completed. It's a pleasure to work with Mary and her crew.

The work was scheduled and completed in a prompt manner and cleaned up the area. The project manager was flexible and communicated well during the work.

The great service began when we accidentally met Mary, the owner, in our neighborhood. She is very knowledgeable of her work and very pleasant to interact with. She was patient with us and took all of the time needed to explain what the trees needed and to come to an agreement about what she would be quoting. The work was done within a week. The trimmers arrived on time and were very friendly. Carlos, the supervisor, explained specifically what he was going to do and why. They went about the work, doing an excellent job of cleaning up. They definitely know how to trim trees. We had looked at all of the reports submitted on this company. Not a single one was even neutral about their work. Everyone praises their services. So do we. They will be doing the annual trimming from now on.
