They are a superb contractor. Phillip Braddock was absolutely excellent. I very much appreciate his good office. He is very much a good contractor. He is faithful, on time and clean. I would give him top marks.

My overall experience with him was horrible! We had asked for a pan to be put in due to termite issues and he never did it. The tile work was terrible and it was never completely finished. The plumbing was not done correctly. I had asked for all copper plumbing and I caught him using galvanized steel. I feel he totally disregarded what I wanted. I had an inspector come out and he failed him on tile work, plumbing and the drain. I now have to have a whole redo on the tub.
Description of Work: He came in to raise up our roman tub to make it level and make it a walk in. He was suppose to tile the whole bathroom and do all the plumbing.

Response from Northridge Home Services LLC
Since I finished this job in July of 2011, I returned once to finish the grout around the sliding glass door in the shower that I was told would be done by the door installer. This is the first I've heard of any problem. I was paid in full and the customer told me she was happy with the job. Now, nearly 8 months later, it's horrible and will have to be completely re-done? Sounds like someone is fishing for a refund.

Based on An gie's List customer evaluations, I selected Northridge Home Services to perform work on my back door/installation of security door. Bill was very prompt with providing a written proposal. In addition, he was upfront with letting me know that he had a number of other projects to complete before he could get to my project. The finished project turned out beautifully.
Description of Work: Bill rehung my backdoor, replaced molding around this door, and installed a new door knob and dead bolt lock. In addition, he installed a new security door.

They remodeled our kitchen last year and our bath this year. It was incredible how quickly they got the jobs done and the quality with which they did so. They are very detailed oriented and both jobs couldn't have gone more smoothly. Thanks Bill!!
Description of Work: Bill and his fellow workers are amazing! They remodeled our kitchen and master bath. Their work is high quality and they are extremely responsive to the client's needs. They are professional, always clean up each day and prompt in their arrival. I will always use them for remodels or any other repair jobs! Can't say enough good things about them.

The owner of Northridge visited my condo to look at the project and gave a quote via e-mail. The quote for the job was prompt and very resonable considering the amount of man hours the project took. On the scheduled work day the Northridge crew showed up exactly on time and went to work. The owner and two workers worked all day with few breaks and did a beautiful job. Some decisions had to be made on the texturing of the ceiling and I really appreciated the experience of the owner in guiding the decision making due to my lack of experience in this area. The texture applied is very nice and the owner of Northridge gave me information on how to seal it and paint it. I did not contract to have it painted but he was nice enough to tell me the product to buy to seal the texture before painting. The crew cleaned up so well that the only way I could tell they had been there was the beautiful ceiling they had created. There were NO messes anywhere, they hauled everything out to the trash and even washed off my balcony and cleaned up the outside areas. Everyone on the work crew was extremely polite and professional. The owner has obviously been in construction for many years and can quickly evaluate, estimate and give professional advise. He's obviously been around the block a few times and I liked his experienced and expert opinion on the task. I am doing most of the remodeling of the condo myself, however, this was too big of a task and I don't have the skills needed to work with drywall/ceiling. If I need any other work done on this condo or a future home I will certainly call Northridge. Professional, courteous, clean, hardworking, knowledgeable and a very good price. I highly recommend Northridge. I found Northridge by checking Angie's List.
Description of Work: Northridge removed an old 70's looking "popcorn" ceiling in my condo, fixed cracks in the ceiling material (Drywall) and textured the ceiling.

This remodel job was done ahead of time and on budget and looks fantastic, it exceeded my expectations and those of my wife and that is hard to do. Bill and his crew are consummate professionals with great attitudes and are very experienced in all fields of home improvement. Their suggestions were extremely helpful and added functionality and ambiance to the entire project. Bill was concerned that the framing of the room would not look like the rest of the house and that it would look like an addition, but with a little thought and some special length rafters the roof line and the front of the addition looks exactly like the existing front of the house so now you can't tell it was ever an addition, a very, very nice touch. When we made changes to the project as it went along, Bill made the changes without hesitation and even suggested more ways to enhance the project that I had never even thought of. All the sub contractors that worked with Bill and his crew are very professional and caring so, every aspect of the project went off without a hitch. The inspectors were never surprised or even remotely concerned about anything and all the inspections went off without one single complaint. They also cleaned up the new room everyday before they left, the room and the area around the house was always clean and neat. Now that this project is completed we are going to have Bill back to do some bathroom remodeling. Northridge Survices LLC. is a super contracting outfit, Bill and his crew have my greatest thanks and appreciation for the work they accomplished on our beautiful house.
Description of Work: Called Bill got a free estimate of the job that afternoon. Plans drawn up to submit to the city for approval, the draftsman, who Bill suggested was super and the plans were approved without incident. The courtyard was cleared of all plants and rocks, which were a lot. The slab was poured the next day, a super job by the guys Bill hires for concrete work. They ran the electrical from the panel in the back to supply power to the new room Next they installed a huge laminated beam to support the roof, love that beam in fits my rustic decor perfectly. Then they started framing the roof after installing a box beam on top of the west wall. Roof framing was finished and inspected without a hitch. The roof was put on by sub contractor who did the work in a day a beautiful job, after in cured painted the roof white to match the existing roof then came back the next week for the second coat, the new roof is seamless and looks exactly like the existing roof. Next Bill had his mason cut the holes in the walls for the windows, again it was fast and perfect. The walls were furred out with 2x4's and the old siding was removed from the existing walls Installed the electrical outlets and recessed lighting very nice. Framed the windows, removed and replaced and eight foot existing roof beam that was in bad shape. Replaced the decorative blocks that were removed after windows were cut, very nice job. Installed cable for TV and an outlet for power high on the wall so will be behind TV. Installed outside siding on upper part of addition that matches the existing siding over the garage, beautiful job. Removed existing window and lowered the opening on the top and the bottom to allow for a bar between rooms and to allow room for the A/C register. Installed bird block between the rafters and sealed them with caulking, not something you normally see. Framed the door opening to match the support post for the laminate beam. Installed the insulation in ceiling and walls. Put in switches for the lights and fans, the lights have dimmers a nice touch suggested by Bill. Dry walled the ceiling, then installed the windows which Bill purchased from local window firm, very nice and affordable. Finished dry walling the walls and the window frames, taped and plastered the entire room until it was perfect, very nice job. Moved the existing door to the new entry way. Removed the glass blocks and framing around the old door to make it smooth and seamless, super job, beautiful work. Painted the outside, colors match perfectly. I was given the guarantees for the roof, and the windows. The entire area was cleaned up, called for dumpster to be removed and the project was completed.

I would definitely use Northridge Home Services again. They showed up on time and did an outstanding job. They removed all of the old tile, including the shower pan and prepped the entire area for new tile. Their tile guy (Ron) did a fantastic job. They always cleaned up after themselves and showed up on time every day. We have even asked Northridge for an estimate for other services at our home. I highly recommend Northridge Home Services.

They were always on time. The job site was cleaned up daily and all debris was hauled off at the end. They allowed me to add on projects outside of the original scope of work which was a big help, not having to schedule this work for a later time. Nice people, excellent work and a very fair price!! I would definitely recommend this company!
Description of Work: Flood Work: Patched drywall throughout entire house, replastered and painted walls; replaced and painted door trims; rehung doors; and replaced plumbing connections. Additional Work: Patched cracks in ceiling and walls inside the house and repaired damage from previous roof leaks. Repaired, patched, and resealed exterior window ledge and window to prevent further water damage. Replaced lock mechanism in one of the doors.

After calling several contractors who were too busy to do the work for us, I at last called Bill at Northridge Home Services. He couldn't have been more polite in needing to also decline due to being so busy. But just as I was about to thank him for his time and say goodbye, he asked again, "So when would be the latest you would need the work done?" After talking a little more, Bill agreed to take time from his busy schedule and at least take a look. As I was letting him into the building the next day, I found that the door lock finally worn out. Without hesitation, he grabbed his tools from the truck and tried to fix it. After determiniing that it needed to be replaced, he offered to replace it for me later in the day if I would go and buy a new one. He took notes for creating an estimate for the bathroom work, came later in the day, and insisted on replacing the lock at no charge. The estimate came within a couple days and it was very reasonable. Due to my own time constraints, I gave him free license to select the toilets, sink, mirror and light fixture. He chose very nice items at a reasonable price. The work was completed on time in a very professional manner. The only difficulty was that a wall needed an additional coat of paint after the work was done. After a quick phone call he gladly returned to take care of it. I sincerely hope that I will be able to call Bill for any future work that needs to be done for our office.
Description of Work: Upgraded two bathrooms at our business facility. In one, replaced tile floor and toilet. In other bathroom, replaced flooring, toilet, sink, mirror, lighting; walled old doorway and placed door on an adjacent wall.

Everyone should know that Bill's work is outstanding. His bid was the best, he worked well with the custom cabinet maker, Kim Kristensen of Kristensen Woodworking, he interfaced with all the other service providers, Granite Creations and Westar appliances, almost seamlessly. He and his crew showed great respect for our home. They cleaned up daily and work progressed quickly. Bill had one small problem with a crewmember but this did not affect the schedule. The price did not change through the project so we finished on time and on budget. The result was a magazine cover kitchen! It will be featured on Bill's website and should be. I am so pleased with the result I have already recommended Bill to friends, colleagues, and clients.
Description of Work: We found Northridge on Angies list. Since his comments were overwhelmingly good we gave him the job. We had a full kitchen remodel, new custom cabinets, moving an interior entrance to the dining room, installation of a wall and pony wall. The job included a new vent for the stove hood, installation of a gas line for the stove, partial removal and rearrangement of a drop ceiling, new ducting for HVAC, new lighting, complicated talavera tile backsplash and new appliances. We scheduled the job to start the 1st of August with a 4-5 week timeline to finish. The job was fully complete on 2 September.

All in all, it was great work and excellent value for the money. The deck looks great, much better than the original did when it was new and it is stronger: 2x6 vs 2x4 for the deck, thicker deck support beams over the roof, more space underneath for water to drain off and probably better roofing underneath the deck. I called Bill of Northridge Remodeling and he was on time for the estimate. I thought his estimate quite reasonable. One other estimate I got was substantially more. I called Bill after several weeks because I was waiting for the 2nd estimate. Bill and I discussed the redwood option and I indicated that I wanted to use all heart redwood. He said he would select heart redwood so that all of the deck showed only heart redwood without any change in his estimate. We discussed several other details and agreed to go ahead. I sent an email detailing my choices and he replied that we could do it all my way with no extra charge. I called Bill back and set a tentative schedule - I had to wait several weeks. In the last week before the work we firmed up the work date by phone. They were scheduled to be there by 7:00 AM. I played tennis early and got back by 6:45 AM. There were 4 or 5 trucks in front of my house and Bill and his team were unloading ladders, etc. They tore the old deck out, removed roofing and had it all loaded on a trailer by 10:45 AM. Bill decided (with my concurrence) that the partly rotted viga needed to be replaced. These things always look better when you can only see part of the damage. That was Tuesday! Bill came back Friday before 7:00 AM with all the materials and his team. They worked until 5:00 PM with only a short lunch break. It was 100 degrees. They replaced several tongue and groove sub-roof boards, as well as one viga (peeler pole) supporting beam. They re-roofed with heavy roof material and roof sealer, cut new tapered deck floor supports from 2x6, installed the new 2x6 redwood deck, repainted the wrought iron, installed new redwood 2x4 rails on top of the wrought iron, added new 2x8 fascia redwood boards on all three sides and sealed all of the new redwood. They also painted the underside of the new tongue and groove sub-roof boards and viga support beam to match. They did a really solid job, at a great price, it looks great, and I would recommend you call them also! I gave Bill a check for the work before he left. After he left, my wife an I noticed a few very small things missed during the long hard 7 AM to 5 PM day. I emailed Bill with a list, and he said he would get back to take care of them. He came when scheduled and cleaned up the few details in less than 2 hours. Bill is an easy guy to talk with, works with a small team of careful workers and does a great job. They work efficiently! I was surprised that this job didn't take three days or more. They did all of the build in one day. I know Bill spent time picking redwood as agreed so I know that the work took more of his time. In all, I recommend Bill and Northridge Remodeling. He owns the company and is out on every job. You'll be happy with the work!
Description of Work: Our 2nd floor deck (20x7) was dried out and rotted in places. Wood tops on wrought iron rails were about to split and fall off. Bill and team tore it down including the old roofing material underneath and replaced several tongue and groove sub-roof boards, as well as one viga (peeler pole) supporting beam. They re-roofed, cut new tapered deck floor supports, installed new 2x6 redwood deck, painted the wrought iron, installed new redwood 2x4 rails on top of the wrought iron and sealed all of the new redwood. They also painted the underside of the new tongue and groove sub-roof boards and viga support beam to match. They cleaned up and left everything neat.

I don't have money to pay him for the work right now. When he was here to do the door, we did an inspection. I asked for an estimate on the bathroom. He told me how I could save money and emailed me the estimate. He was very on time, prompt, and courteous. He knew that I didn't have a whole lot of money, but I wanted a good job. So, he made me recommendations on how to save on cost. For example, I would be able to purchase a sink cabinet myself. It was very nice.

Bill came right out and gave me an estimate. My shower was also measured and an estimate was given to me by another company. Bill and a helper came and took out the tile shower and carpet and prepared the shower with new dry wall for the new shower unit to be installed with the other company. When that was installed Bill and his two helpers returned and installed the tile. They were polite, arrived on time and were very neat as they worked.

Fabulous! Bill quickly responded to my phone call. He scheduled an appointment later that afternoon to complete the initial estimate. He placed a curtesy call before arriving, on time. I was given an estimate and a detailed explanation of what needed to occur to complete the job. The actual work day was scheduled within one week from the estimate. Bill and his team arrived shortly before the scheduled start time to setup and organize the project. All four men were professional and polite. The work was quickly completed and the area cleaned up. Bill requested a review of the completed work before departing, asking if I was satisfied with the quality of the work and if I had any questions or concerns. I was, am still, very pleased with the quality, cost, and professionalism of this team. I would not hesitate to call Bill in future for needed home repairs or enhancements. PS, the cost was lower then I expected. The workers were very efficient. I was lucky to have selected this team to do the work.
Description of Work: My home's closet door containing the hot water heater and furnace was too narrow. The wall had to be cut back and a wider door installed, to allow for the installation (meeting City Code requirements) of a new hot water heater.

The crew was punctual and very nice to have around. They completed the work on time and were quick to respond to our follow-up questions. We also asked them to do some last-minute work in another part of the house and they were very obliging and completed the work promptly and affordable. We plan on using them again to complete our kitchen remodel. We highly recommend them to anyone that is looking for a dependable crew.
Description of Work: We asked Bill at Northridge to first provide us with an estimate to remove a soffit in our kitchen. The work included removing drywall and wood framing, adding new canister lights connected to a new dimmer, relocating HVAC ductwork to an adjacent room, and refinishing the new ceiling. He provided a very reasonable estimate and we immediately agreed to have them begin the work.

Northridge was excellent to work with! very honest, reliable and high quality workmanship. I also appreciated Bill's low-key way of responding to the changes that I asked him to do (paint color, for one) - no drama, no hassle, just purely professional. He is also very knowledgeable, and gave me great advice about what was possible for the bathroom. It went from barely functional to beautiful in 2 weeks. I think this was very fast considering how much work they had to do to replace corroded plumbing, move wiring, redo drywall, all flooring, etc. A big plus for me was that they cleaned up everyday so I didn't come home to a mess of construction dust and debris. I'll definitely use Northridge again, since this old brick ranch house needs quite a bit of work.
Description of Work: Northridge did a complete remodel of a full bath in my 1951 home, including moving and replacing plumbing, bath, toilet, and vanity/sink. They redid all of the finishes - tiling, painting, wallboard. Also redid the wiring for new lights and ceiling fan, which was properly vented.

We interviewed four or five different contractors. Bill Belobraydic struck as as being very professional and competent. His estimate for costs was also significantly lower than the others. He stressed to us that he understood that we were living in the house while the work was underway, and that he and his crew would be sensitive to that fact. The crew showed up around 7:15 every weekday morning for about 6 weeks. Everyone in the crew was very nice and polite. On most days, there were three workers. Bill was there himself about 1/4 of the time. Everything was consistent with Bill's original assessments. There are advantages and disadvantages in staying i the house while this type of work is done. The biggest advantage is that the homeowner can adapt to unexpected situations, and identify problems before they get out of hand. There were a few surprises and we did modify the original plans as we adapted to the process. These were handled by Bill with panache and good humor. It is clear that Bill is indeed extremely capable and has a clear sense of how to accomplish the objectives. This may be the most important characteristic of a contractor, since things never go as originally planned, and skill and knowledge are required to adapt. It is also clear that Bill is a great manager. His crew respects him, and he treats them well. The work took about six weeks to complete, and a week later, Bill and his crew returned to address our punch list. This is also telling. We had already paid for the work, but Bill understands the value of his reputation, and stands by his work--ensuring that homeowners are happy with it. As noted, we plan to do additional remodeling and we will definitely use Northridge again. Overall a very pleasant experience for something that we know has the potential to go the other way.
Description of Work: Our house is a 1973 territorial in need of some upgrades. We decided to proceed in stages to be sure that we were comfortable with our contractor before continuing. The first stage included removing a lot of tiles on walls in a bathroom, hallway and the kitchen. In addition, we removed paneling in the great room. We also installed recessed lighting in the great room, kitchen, and dining room. We had them remove the popcorn ceiling (we had the asbestos removed 17 years ago) in the dining room, kitchen and great room. We also installed a home theater system, so the contractor had to cooperate with the installers. We also opened up the doorway from the kitchen into the dining room. It was a single pocket door. We had them double the size of the opening and now there are French pocket doors (with beveled glass). All surfaces were painted.

He was fine although a little bit slow; I think he is very busy. He was eager and he showed up on time, but the process was slow. I have postponed the project so I haven?t said yes or no to him yet.

They did a great job and communication was great. We had one bump in the road, the tile company did the wrong order on the tile. The time on the project was extended but it had nothing to do with them. Because of the issue they dealt with them and made sure we got the right tile and didn't have to pay more. They did an exceptional job.
Description of Work: Northridge Home Services redid our whole bathroom. They gutted the whole bathroom, put in a new tub and shower enclosement and new vanity. They painted and helped with accessories.

They were good. They came out promptly. They were very professional. I decided to contact them because they were on Angie's list. I would contact them for a quote in future.
Description of Work: I used Northridge Home Services LLC maybe two weeks ago to get a quote. The quote was for getting the room partially remodeled. They quoted $9000.
