Bill was prompt and professional from the first call we made to ask him for an estimate. We were coming in from out of state and he was more than obliging in meeting our schedule. He impressed us with his friendliness and knowledge of what needed to be done to remedy our situation. Our patio roof was ready to be replaced and he gave us a thorough explanation of what would need to be done. His first bid was for a complete demo and rebuild. While it was a very fair bid, we decided to just remove the roof for now and clean up everything until we could decide how to proceed. He gladly bid the demo, all clean-up and projected that the work would take three days. After clearing up some questions with the bid, we contracted with him to do the work. Our daughter who is living in the house was most impressed with Bill and felt his work schedule would give consideration to the fact that she has pets and a new baby. The work was scheduled to begin based on a date that we could be back in town to observe the job. A debris roll-off was delivered prior to the work starting and Bill arrived promptly on the first day. Over the three days, work started promptly and time was allowed for the pets to come outside. A few other details came up during the demo which Bill explained and we agreed to add to the Contract. Bill recommended a company to supply the replacement gutters and except for the installation of those, the job was completed and cleaned up in the estimated three days. We are very satisfied with all of the work and would call him for further projects without hesitation.
Description of Work: Bill and his crew removed an aging patio roof which was attached to the rear of our house and extended to a storage shed at the back of the brick patio. They demolished the roof and removed and replaced the fascia on the back of the house. It was necessary to move some electrical conduit and gas pipe which had been underneath the patio cover, as well. All of the debris was removed in a roll-off which Bill had delivered prior to the start date. All newly exposed and installed wood was painted and seamless gutters (supplied by a company referred by Bill) were installed across the back of the house and the front of the shed. The area was cleaned up at the end of each day (3 days in total) and at the end of the job.

The Northridge team (Bill and two helpers) arrived promptly every morning & cleaned up thoroughly at the end of the day. They were quick workers, completing everything in the promised 8 days. Bill was always calm, & very responsive, even making a change we requested mid-project. The team was polite and very accommodating. When they were all finished, they even helped us move a heavy file cabinet into the new room, a request certainly beyond contract specifications! After the work was completed & paid for, we realized they had forgotten to replace a wall shelf and bracket, which would have been difficult for us to do by ourselves. We emailed him about this, & he came by the following Sunday afternoon, & in one hour it was done. We have had several experiences with re-modelers over the years, not all pleasant. Many would have taken weeks to get around to an overlooked task such as the wall shelf. Our experience with Bill Belobradic of Northridge Home Services was as near to perfect as it could be. We give him the highest recommendation.
Description of Work: We wanted to build a studio/workshop in one stall of our two-car garage; we budgeted about $10,000 for the task. We chose three re-modeling contractors from Angie’s List (for Tucson), meeting with and getting written estimates/bids from each. We knew precisely what we wanted to do, and handed each bidder a one page set of specifications re materials, windows & doors, HVAC, etc. (this included insulating, dry walling, & painting the entire garage interior as well as framing, insulating, etc. the new room within, plus installing 2 new windows & doors). Northridge Home Services’ (Bill Belobradic) bid was a very competitive 30% lower than the others. We called a sample of his references, and talked at length with people who had hired him for much larger projects than ours. All of them were more than happy with his work: in fact, they were delighted, and recommended him highly.

I got 3 estimates. Bill's was the most affordable and he was available to start within my planned time frame. It was expected to take 2-3 months. Work started in Nov 2010 and finished in Jan 2011. The weather didn't cooperate with rain and freezing temperatures slowing things down. Dry time was extended on cold and wet days. We made several changes along the way, which Bill was very flexible on. Several different vendors were needed and coordinated. The holidays created further delay and rearranging the time of install of the various projects. I was living out of state and visiting every 2-3 weeks. My family checked in on the progress. It was a juggling act and sometimes nerve wracking to trust that things will get done on time. I like to know where every nail and screw was placed. This didn't faze Bill. He was patient to explain each step along the way. Bill impressed my mom with his work. A few ideas were hard to imagine until the work was actually done. It was a lot of work to design from a blank page. During demolition, we discovered several mold and decay problems that needed correcting. Wood termites were present. The permit process added additional headaches. There was an issue with one of the crew who was replaced halfway through the construction. I had prepared myself for things to go differently than what was first discussed 3 months before. I built in extra time and money to cover whatever unexpected events occurred. I purchased some items on my own and Bill installed whatever items I got. I changed my mind on a few fixtures and Bill reinstalled the changed items. When it was all done, the house looks amazing. Bill did a lot of work himself, had a crew of 2 helpers, and often came out on weekends to get things done. A few minor touch ups were needed after work was done and Bill came out and got those taken care of promptly.
Description of Work: The plan was for an extensive remodel on a 1965 single-level home, about 1600 sq feet. The home was rented to various families over the previous 10 years.Every room was updated. 4 inch Crown molding and baseboards throughout, door casing, custom paint throughout, all new windows and interior and exterior doors, gas pack to replace evap cooler, expanded master bathroom into full bath, all new bath cabinets, mirrors, marble shower surround, toilets, and tubs and fixtures.Combined two rooms into one larger room. Replaced all light fixtures in home, added accent lighting, install new plumbing fixtures, finish off laundry closet, added walk-in closet, removed non-load bearing walls, remove wood paneling and carpet, tiled den, replace all exterior lights, rebuilt bay window into exit to patio, replaced all outlets and most of the wiring, install new kitchen cabinets and counter-tops, fixed sidewalk. Drywall added to non-insulated walls, den floor leveled. rebuilt water heater enclosure, new ducting ran through attic, GFCI outlets installed in all wet areas, gas/electric connections replaced for appliances, added dishwasher, garbage disposal, and under-cabinet lighting.

Bill was a total professional. He was helpful with decisions, he went above and beyond in helping us with the entire process. He finished on budget and on time. His quality of work was excellent. His workers were clean, polite and did a fantastic job. He did the entire job while we were out of town and I had not problem leaving my home in his hands and he did not let me down in any way. I would highly recommend Northridge for all remodeling needs and will be having him return for additional remodeling as well.

He has come out and helped me out on several occasions. He has installed a sink for me and he has referred me to a lot of people. I had some roof problems and he had a friend of his do some work for me. For the handyman work, I spent about $50. He goes out of his way to make his customers happy. If I have any questions and if I call him anytime, he answers my concerns over the phone. He is great. I would recommend him to anybody. I will use this company again in the future.

Overall I have to give Bill an A for effort, workmanship, and ability to get the job done. We had a few bumps along the way but being very familiar with construction, nothing in construction is perfect. You have to be willing to go with the flow and Bill really does a great job at that. I need to let you know that I am an architect and very knowledgable about construction matters and somewhat picker than your average homeowner. Bill was able to handle all of that and do it with a smile even when things get a little challenging; that's the sign of a GREAT person and contractor, in my humble opinion. I recently purchased a townhome in Tucson and I was under some tight timeframes to get the job done this summer before fall classes started at the UofA. I called Bill during the home inspection process in late May and he assisted with that analysis of the concrete slab at my unit which had some minor cracking but extensive enough for a concern. I found him through Angies list and he came out on a weekend to assist me with very little notice. After the purchase, I got an estimate from Bill on the work and that was what he did the job for. There were some additional charges at the end (which were for things that I requested and were additional work). I don't have an issue with paying for work performed. If you are a fussy customer about additional charges or you are not familiar with that process, just ask Bill for a price for any additional charges as you go. I had to do that on our tile situation which was difficult since we (Bill and I) had to find another sub-contractor to do that work. Bill's regular tile person would not do my project or had some sort of difficulty so we substituted in another sub-contractor for that work to maintain my schedule. I will not go into that tile sub-contractor's work here. It was a unique situation and under the circumstance it all worked out. Back to the remodel...Bill's team of three workers did all of my work at the house. Bill is the leader and comes to your job site everyday and works with his team. That was a great aspect to this. I did not have tons of sub-contractors coming and going from the house. Bill handled all the demolition and reconstruction. The great thing about his pricing is that ALL of his labor and materials (excluding finish materials such as cabinets, light fixtures, appliances and others which is typical) are included. So you are not getting charged for plumbing parts, tape, electrical wiring or frankly anything until you need to apply the final finish. Bill's team installed a pocket door, moved an existing door, re-mudded a large majority of my walls to a smooth finish, installed new ceiling outlets, three ceiling fans, painted the whole place and installed a 10 x 10 foot area with new kitchen cabinetry. Bill did an excellent job on the kitchen cabinets. I designed and purchased the kitchen cabinetry myself at Lowe's and had it shipped to the house. He installed it and it really is perfect. Things I did that Bill's company did not perform: I hired others to install granite countertops in the kitchen, install a specialty backsplash and do a custom tile medallion in my entry area floor. I don't know that Bill would or could not do these projects; it was just easier in the timing of things for me to hire and self-perform some of my own restoration work at the townhome, while Bill concentrated on other parts of the project in a tight timeframe. Again, overall I really have no complaints about Bill, his crew or his performance along the way. He really did a fantastic job. My recommendation to anyone is that if things get misunderstood or confusing to you during a construction project, talk to the contractor and work out a resolution to your satisfaction. I did that with Bill and he really did do anything he could when a sticky situation came up and we agreed on a solution and moved forward. And again, that is hard to find these days especially in construction, so I for one greatly appreciated his honesty and integrity. He was always punctual to when he would be on site or not and let me know what was happening. Bill is an honest contractor with decades of experience, pride and craftsmanship in his work. It is really hard to find quality people like him to come into a relatively small project of 1400 SF and finish the project in 4 weeks. He did that and we still liked each other at the end of the process. So I would definitely encourage you to use him and I think you will be very happy with the results.
Description of Work: Northridge Home Services did an interior remodel of a 1400 SF townhome and performed: demolition of existing floor tile, demo carpet areas, slip-sheet repairs to existing concrete slab, minor studs and drywall, re-skim coating walls, electrical, plumbing, lighting installation, ceiling fan installation, installing kitchen cabinets, installation of floor tile (performed by a sub-contractor) and painting.

He was at our home about 5 minutes earlier than he said - punctuality not always seen in this bushiness. He and a helper finished the job in about 2 hours. He charged us exactly what he quoted. I would definitely hire him again and have asked for a quote for more extensive work. He was also an extremely personable guy. A side note...this impressed me. Bill is a smoker but did not smoke - even outdoors - once the window was removed. I didn't have to say a thing - I felt this was a respectful gesture.

I have an old house with casement windows set in the brick and outside brick window sills. I also have an addition on the house with windows set flush with the outside and no window sills. I wanted to get new double-pane energy efficient windows that all looked the same from the outside. Bill and his crew figured out how to remove the old brick window sills and install the new windows so that they look the same everywhere. When one of the windows was made incorrectly and had to be remade, Bill adjusted his schedule to make time for this last window the next week. He also re-tiled my kitchen window sill when the old tile didn't quite fit the new window. I really appreciate how Bill does his best to accommodate his clients.

The storage room was the big project. It is 5 feet by 21 feet, had no windows and was only bare studs. It was always dark and the shelves were haphazardly made of scrap lumber. Bill and Steve put in a skylight at one end and a window at the other, hung drywall on the walls and ceiling and built us deep shelves that run the length of the room. Then they painted the room white and cleaned up perfectly. They even patched a couple of iffy places in the roof over the room. The projects took four days altogether. They were on time each day and cleaned up each day so there was no mess around.
Description of Work: I had Bill replaster some cracks in my family room ceiling and put in a new window, put in some shelves in a bedroom closet, and finish off our outdoor storage room.

Bill provided estimates for various jobs. We changed our mind a couple times, but Bill came back and helped us make a decision by providing very honest feedback. We started with replacing sliding doors in the master bedroom and family room and also converted a floor-to-ceiling window to a sliding door and picture window. In the living room, our floor-to-ceiling windows were replaced. All of the windows/doors required not only replacing, but building out certain areas. Bill worked with us to get the product we needed and make sure we got what we wanted. He and his worker, Steve, were always on all time, very professional, and the clean-up was the best I've ever seen when we've had work performed at our home. I can not say enough about the quality and detail of Bill's work...impeccable! I can't forget to mention the dog door he installed for us. Not only was the quality of work perfect, but he also stayed and helped train the dogs to use the door - added value! We are very happy with Bill's professionalism and quality of work. It was, by far, the best experience we've had with home repairs!
Description of Work: In family room, had two new sliding door sets and picture windows replaced/installed. In the master bedroom, a new slider was installed and in the living room, we had floor-to-ceiling windows replaced. Bill also installed the perfect dog door for our pups (had to saw through a concrete wall).

I would highly recommend Northridge Home Services. Both Bill and Steve worked hard for about 10 hours so that the job could be completed that day. I appreciated not having to take an additional day off work. I was particularly impressed with how well they cleaned up when they were finished.
Description of Work: I had water leak damage in three rooms: pantry, utility closet and bathroom. Bill and his helper Steve repaired the walls and ceiling in all three rooms and did the primer painting. Fantastic! The plaster wall underneath fiberboard pannelling had been found to be crumbling and with zero insullation. After receiving 4 bids for the job and listening to the various methods of repair, I called Bill. His plan was the most straightforward and showed that he listened to me describe that I didn't just want a quick fix. He also heard me out about being out of work for over a year, and my capabilities as a handy gal. He described how I could save money on the job by doing the demolition myself, and told me exactly what to do when I expressed interest. His information included extras, such as this being a good time to use expansion foam around the window frame while it was exposed, and specifically what kind of foam to get. When the day came to do the work, Bill was punctual and got right to work with his helper. Both men were considerate of my household, and kind to my very-interested kids. They worked at a steady pace, taking short breaks after a reasonable length of time and were able to carry a conversation with me and my kids while attending to the job at hand. Bill explained what he was doing and why, answered my questions clearly and explained the next steps I should take to complete my plans for the overall room beyond his job. They did a great job of cleaning up, and even got it cleaner that it was when they walked in! Great job, guys!

Excellent work and extremely punctual!!!! This is an update to my experience with Northridge. After Northridge did work for me I recommended them to a few of my friends. I know that generated quite a bit of work for Northridge. About a year later I called Northridge for several small projects at my house. I was told they were busy but they would contact me in about two weeks. Two months went by and I called again only to get delayed for another two weeks. Well over a year has gone buy now and Northridge has never contacted me for the follow up work. Not only that, but I was walking my dogs a few months ago and saw Northridge taking on a new project in my neighborhood.

Bill was excellent... very responsive and helpful in the design. For example, we were interested in a sliding shower door with no track. He went out on his own and located one and advocated for its installation with the company which felt it wouldn't work in the space. It actually works beautifully and we're very happy with it. We also needed a brushed nickle inset toliet paper dispenser... he researched it on the Internet and purchased it for us. He was also very timely arriving for work each morning when as scheduled. He communicated clearly and appropriately. He was neat, clean and respectful of our space. Overall, an excellent experience. He even gave us an Entertainment book!
Description of Work: Complete bathroom remodel. The bathroom is very small... it was entirely gutted and new window installed. The tub was removed and a shower installed... requiring a lowering of the cement foundation. The shower head was moved from one side to another... routed overhead. Complete tiling (floor, shower, area around the toliet was installed. Pony wall was built to frame out the shower and separate the toliet. New lighting and medicine cabinets were installed.

The experience was great!! Bill did everything when he said he would, he charged me the EXACT amount that he quoted (all the other ones said that the price would depend on a lot of stuff they would find when they started). I gave him a key to my house, and felt completely comfortable trusting him. Their workmanship was superb,a nd they went out of their way to do little things that I asked them to do (but expected to be charged for), and they still only charged me the original amount. We have already called him about a problem with our vent in the kitchen (one thats been there for 15 years), and he showed us how to fix it ourselves free of charge. He is probably the most honest and fair contractor I have ever met. I have already recommended him to several neighbors and will recommend him to everyone!!

Although I didn't use their services, the owner of Northridge was very helpful in referring me to another source who works with his company as a contractor. The contractor in turn, provided additional information regarding my issue with the garbage disposal, which helped me save money as the issue was directly related to the way the disposal was installed. I ended up calling the original person who did the installation and he corrected the problem at no charge.

I was apprehensive about contractors as I just finished a kitchen remodel where I had to fire the original cabinet maker for lousy workmanship and inability to complete the job. I found Bill on angie's list and liked the reviews he had received. I called him on a Saturday and he came over 30 minutes later to discuss my job. Without earning the job yet, he went down to Home Depot with all my door measurements to work with them on a quote for custom doors for my garage cabinets (these were supposed to be the cabinets for my kitchen). I was impressed with his willingness to take charge and keep my time to a minimum. He is extremely busy so I did have to wait a few months but I would argue that finding the right contractor is more important than getting the project done right now. He is very trustworthy and I felt comfortable giving him my garage door opener as he completed the job without us being home. Overall he did an excellent job and would use him again.
Description of Work: Bill installed custom garage cabinets for me, including hardware and doors.

Our total experience with Bill (Northridge Home Services, LLC) was outstanding. He is very competent, hard working, dependable, responsible and a pleasure to work with. He estimated what we wanted (an additional room to our home), was prompt with a written estimate. We decided to make the room bigger so he gave us another written estimate, a copy of which we keep. We signed a contract and maintain a copy of same. He was clear about the steps in the construction project and an estimated time frame (which he honored every step of the way). He also was very responsive to all of our phone calls and questions. He provided oversight for every service which necessitated other vendors. He was patient, even when county inspectors were slow in checking the work and created minimal lag time in our project. He always made every effort to please us and make us feel we were his most important customers. He finished the job on time and came back to fix up one problem after the fact. He was gracious at all times.
Description of Work: We added a room to our home.

Bill did his own work with two helpers. He showed up every day on time. He listened carefully to our ideas and followed our plans exactly, making occasional changes as we saw fit. He worked very neatly, and when he left, both the bathroom and the adjacent bedroom were clean. He is skilled in all areas of renovation. He even fixed some interior problems that weren't directly related to his project. I am very pleased with his professionalism and the quality of his work. The bathroom has gotten raves from everyone who has seen it.
Description of Work: Gutted old bathroom. Put in new drywall, plumbing, electrical, vanity with two sinks, tile shower, floor and toilet.
