Description of Work: Mr. Electric bid a home electrical improvement job for me consistine of added outlets, new cieling fans, some new lights etc. He bid it from a flat rate chart for each individual job. He assured me that his bid would be much lower that someone who bid the job on an hourly basis, but his bid was more than double that of another bidder who was also a liscensed contractor and bid the job hourly.

Description of Work: After our power company transformer caused huge power surge at 4 am and overwhelmed all 8 of our surge protectors, damaging 12 pieces of equipment and the fire company left, we followed their advice and got power co. here and an electrician. Mr. Electric was one of only a couple available on a Sat.Their response was immediate and their electrician was here very promptly.Jim Pitts was just so thorough, inspected everything, even talked with power people and got pictures of bad power line and informed us of what they were doing - ie, replacing everything - transformer with holes and leak, etc. This enabled us to get photos for our insurance co. He also supplied us with a much better in-line surge system. He noted several items needing upgrade and completed these even though he put in a 12 hr day. We are very grateful to him and Mr. Electric.

Description of Work: I wanted an estimate on security lights being installed in my backyard. If they purchased the lights, the install and lights would be $1200. If I purchased the lights, the install alone would be $915. It was crazy! I went with someone else, bought 2 $140 lights and install was $400 = about $700. That includes the lights. This company is way too expensive!!
