We just purchased a home and it badly needed painting inside and outside. Inside, we wanted a two-tone paint scheme (walls one color and doors/trim and ceiling another color). The HOA required a two-tone paint scheme on the outside which, on rough stucco, can be difficult to get very clean and straight lines. I was hesitant to use L and M for such a large job only because I had no previous personal experience with the company. However, after talking over the fence with my new neighbor whom used L and M in the past (his house looked great) and reading the reviews here on Angie's List, I went ahead and gave them a call. Leo Martinez arrived on-time and provided an immediate written estimate of all work. I thought the pricing was fair based on jobs I've had done in the past and went ahead with L and M... I had to go out of town the week they were scheduled to paint so I left Leo a key and hoped for the best. For someone as particular like myself, I was definitely nervous as to what I would see upon my return... The result? A job VERY well done. As a Realtor, I see plenty of bad paint jobs with messy cut lines, prep work, etc. All cut lines here were excellent both inside and outside and paint coverage appears consistent. Any minor imperfections that were seen after completion were due to the condition of the 14-year old house, not L and M's work... My wife did not like the color we chose for the backyard wall so Leo gave us a very fair deal to come back and repaint that portion only... The Bottom Line? L and M has a new customer and we won't hesitate to use them again.

Perfect! This company is professional! Marc Martinez was punctual, courteous, and thorough. He explained how his company works and what we could expect. He walked around the house and described what would be repaired and answered our questions. He gave us a written description of the work to be expected along with his quote. He consulted on paint choices and was available for phone questions we had about paint choices. We booked a few weeks in advance and he called to confirm. Marc and his crew were on time. He reviewed the project with us, introduced us to the people doing the painting and made sure everything started out as planned. At the end of the first day, the painters told us when they were leaving, what needed to be completed,when they would return and when they would be finished. Project compled on schedule and beyond our expectations. In fact, we have hired them to return next month and epoxy our garage floor. I have alredy recommended them to friends. .

They were above and beyond. They did a fantastic job. The owners do not do the painting, they have workers and they keep an eye on them. They just did a great job. I never had to worry. They are very professional group. I think they have done just about every house in our street.

We had consulted this painting contractor a year ago for an estimate but put off the project until this year when our financial situation was better, and they honored the prior estimate without hesitation. The project was overseen by Marc Martinez, one of the three brothers who owns the business, and performed by one of his crews. Marc is extremely polite and considerate of his customer's needs and desires, and makes sure not only that he understands what I want but also that he communicates it thoroughly to his crew. He reviewed and inspected their work regularly, and made minor adjustments and corrections as needed, all of them things he noticed but we didn't. We requested that he do an extra job not in the original estimate (painting patio floors), and Marc added it in at very reasonable cost, without complaint or delay. The crew itself was very considerate and professional, went out of their way to protect our property and to clean up meticulously, not only at completion of the job, but also at the end of each day's work (the job took all week, as expected, not including the stucco work done by a different guy the week before). They did a lot of moving of objects (patio furniture, planters, etc.) and put them back as we directed. They were easy to talk to and receptive to our requests. We could not be more satisfied with the work these guys did, and would heartily recommend them to anyone with a high-end home looking for a quality repaint.

The painters were courteous, and they worked hard to get the job done in one day. They cleaned up perfectly afterwards, and the house looks brand new. They were finished by 1:30 or so, after the 6 a.m. start, and we went back to our daily routine at once. I'm so grateful that they sent us that brochure in the mail! Other estimates were almost double what they charged me, and I'm sure no one could've done a better job!

We received an ad in the mail regarding both interior and exterior house painting. We just happened to be planning to paint the exterior ourselves, but were pressed for time. We called and spoke to Victor. He came out to view the house (we didn't need to be home) and emailed us an estimate that evening. The estimate was within our expectations, so we hired L and M to do the job. They scheduled the job for 3 days. When the time came, they were punctual, courteous, and commenced to work. All windows were properly covered and taped, and the house was power washed. They worked from 6:30 am until 5pm the first day. Day two they were there early again and set to work. We left for work. They actually finished the job while we were gone (a day early), but since they needed access to the front door (it had to be open for them to replace weather stripping), Victor returned when we arrived home that evening and finished the job. We were thoroughly impressed with Victor and the 5 or 6 painters that did the work over the course of the two days. They were aware of the HOA rules (even more than we would have been) and painted to the exact guidelines, including the block wall in the yard. Everything in the yard was returned as they found it. This company is honest, hard working, and quick to respond to questions. We highly recommend them!
