We have desert as well as a medium sized walled yard with grass lawn. I hired them to take care of the yard and free up my time. This started well.I was met on time (they were even early for the consult) they always were on time. The issue became with the crew that was assigned to the property. We have a small long driveway and little space to turn around. The crew insisted on bringing a huge trailer up here and then spending 20+ min of the 1 hour every two weeks turning the trailer around. They did this every time. They did get the grass looking good, even though I was hit with extra cost that I was not informed about before hand. I paid the bills. I do hate bait and switch on prices. The main issues was weeds! There were weeds sprouting up around the pool. I asked that they be pulled. They sprayed them and then left them. I was then looking at dead weeds around the pool when I would go out for a swim. They told me that the weeds would vanish. They never evaporated. I complained about the weeds they then came back and did not pull the weeds instead they sprayed all around the property including a hill side that did not need to be sprayed, my bill went from about $60 for the week to over $700!!! I called and was told that this bill was for all the chemicals that they had to use to spray. I was told that they had to spray because I had complained about weeds. (I can spray the whole property for less than $20) The crew complained that the rocks on the hill were falling down when they stood on them. I never wanted them on that hill!! I wanted the weeds pulled around the pool. The hill side was set in steep rip-rap rock. They knocked down a large portion of the hill and cost me thousands to repair. There was a real disconnect between management and the crew on site. In the end, I asked that they not come back out to the house as I felt that there was no way I could afford another visit and ever growing bill. I still had to pull my own weeds.

They are just very good. The workers were professional and they did a great job. Price was good.

I liked their responsiveness and knowledge. They are local people who know the area and the plants very well. They were recommended by a friend when I moved here 5 years ago.

It went great. I am a huge fan of Horticulture Unlimited and will continue to use them for all my future landscaping needs.

I have never had any issues with Horticulture Unlimited. There crews are thorough and do a great job at maintaining my landscaping. I am very pleased with the service I have received over the past year and recommend them without reservation.

I have been using them for three years. They did a very good job. They cleaned everything up when they were done. They do a very good job trimming my trees. Their pricing is high, but the quality of the work is excellent.

They were punctual, accommodating and reliable.

The process went great. We contacted the company and Dawn Fried came to our house and had some great ideas for renovating our long-neglected landscaping. We had just purchased the house and wanted to give the landscape a "fresh" look. Dawn's ideas were welcome and she was very thorough in explaining things. She was very helpful in choosing plants and was very responsive to phone calls, emails, etc. The re-do of the entire irrigation system was done very professionally. The lines are not visible and the system works great. The landscaping was done in a very meticulous manner. We are very pleased. The arborist and crew also did a great job with pruning/trimming the trees. I recommend them without reservation.

Everything turned out ok with this company. I was happy with the way they removed the trees and grinded down the stumps. I was not happy at all with the way they trimmed my trees. The crew had no idea what they were doing at all. I had to stand outside for three hours giving them instructions on what to do. I wouldn’t recommend using this company for tree trimming.

We had quite a bit of tree work performed on our acre of yard and, overall, Horticulture Unlimited did a good job. The problem we had was that we had specifically asked for one particular tree in the front yard to be heavily trimmed, as its shaggy appearance was bothering our neighbor. We discussed this extensively with the person who walked the property with us and wrote up the list of things to be done. However, when the job was completed the targeted tree had not been trimmed, somewhat to our puzzlement. We let it go, figuring there had been some miscommunication on our part. About a week later, we went out to the back of the property and found the same variety of tree very carefully and neatly trimmed which was fine, except it wasn't the one that needed attention! No harm was done and the work itself was fine, but we decided to try another company the next time.

We were promised that the job would take a day and a half. It did.

Overall very satisfied with the new landscaping. There are a couple areas I plan to address during our final walk thru to see if we can get corrected.

They have a certified arborist and that was important to me. What I found is that they are like an artist and they want to put their preference above yours, so they didn?t prune my trees as much as I wanted them to. They were meticulous with the work they did, but I couldn?t? get what I wanted with the trees. I shouldn?t have let them sway me because now I am wishing that my trees had been pruned back more. They did good work but the tree trimming was a sore issue. They are not as professional and accommodating as you?d want them to be for their price.

Arrived on time. Immediately set to work upon receiving description of problems. Worked quickly, efficiently, and did a very good job. I have used this company for the past five years and the workers from it have always been professional and trustworthy. I will continue to use them.

The tree planting went OK, but the tree trimming was bothersome. The trimmer was supposed to call before he came over, never did.

They began each job when promised...finished when promised.

Company appears extremely professional; however, problems take days to fix. They were to mow back yard, rake front, take care of weeds, prune as needed. They wanted extra to do weeds in alley. They regularly broke sprinklers and the office staff were combative when called about the crew having turned off the water to the yard and not turning it back on. Weeds in a couple of ares were regularly missed. Which week was changed without notice and when gates weren't unlocked they got upset with me.

Very disappointing!!! A little under a year ago I had the company plant a tree for me. Everything went OK, but I wouldn't call it an enjoyable experience. They got the job done. While doing this work I got an estimate for some tree trimming. The estimate was provided, but when leaving a message to get the work done I stressed that I needed to talk to whomever was going to do the work BEFORE the work was started. About two days after leaving the message I came home from work to find the tree trimming was completed, but had never received the requested phone call. Last week I called to ask for help on the tree planted almost a year ago. They lost my first message and I had to call back. When I finally talked to someone (on Friday) I was told that someone would call me on the following Monday before coming out to look at the tree. Nobody called nor showed up and I had scheduled my work day around this. I called Tuesday at noon only to leave another voice mail. Someone showed up 30 minutes after the voice mail without calling. These folks seem to lack a basic understanding of common courtesy.

They did not give a detailed estimate. I didn't feel comfortable with them due to no details, just an overall price. I am going to go with someone else.

During the initial discussions about what I wanted done, there was some confusion because I ended up talking to more than one person. However, everything was resolved. The work went well and was done in about ten days.

I would say that the quality of the work was very good. I had no issues with that. The job was not scheduled correctly. The length of the job took a longer amount of time than they said that it would. It was not a big deal to us but it was a little bit of a surprise. The end result is very beautiful, however.

I sent an email and within a half hour I had a response back from the owner of Horticulture Unlimited. They helped me with the long distance stuff between me and the HOA. They were very professional, quality workmanship, and reasonably priced.
