Rick Allen with Bartlett came out for the estimate. He was very professional and knowledgeable and I learned a lot about our trees during his visit. We discussed the options for the blue palo verde since some of the older trees can become money pits and while I hated to lose this tree, we didn't want to save it for sentimental reasons only. Rick examined it carefully and advised that it was basically sound and still robust. He also consulted with me via a phone call after another large branch had blown down before the work was scheduled. While I was a bit shocked at the price, in hindsight, I have to say it was well worth it, and the Angie's List discount helped. Before Rick's visit, I was sure that we would have to take out the blue palo verde, but the crew (Chris and Don) were very careful and took great care and thought with strategic pruning, as Rick had advised, so hopefully we'll enjoy this tree for years to come. The excavation and replacement of of the section of the rock berm around the mesquite tree was a huge job and 2 - 3' of rock and soil were removed, the rock was replaced and the treewell formed so that it blended very well with the rest of the existing rock berm. They also removed a lot of mistletoe from the two ironwood trees near the house, which were otherwise inaccessible to us. They were able to schedule this work in a reasonable amount of time.

The workers did an excellent job. The primary person was very experienced, had the right tools and performed the job carefully and safely, both for my environment and for himself. The assistant helped by putting clippings in the chipper, cutting wood for fireplace as appropriate, and helping to clean up. They both spent time to police the yard of sawdust, clippings and leaves. They cleaned up very well.

The appointments were made in a timely fashion and the estimator and trimmer both arrived on time. The estimator explained what was needed not only with the trees, but with all the other shrubs in the yard as well. The trimmer's work exceeded my expectations. No one before has ever been able to prune the crowns of the trees to allow wind to move through the branches, but this tree trimmer did an outstanding job of opening the branching up to balance the trees and to give them an excellent appearance. The root excavation revealed several roots growing in a circle around the root system, binding up the primary roots. The binding roots were cut which will allow the trees to extend their primary roots out for better health and stability. The shrubs and Santa Rita cactus were hand pruned with results that exceeded my expectations. The trimmer also helped me repair a broken irrigation system pipe that had just broken that morning. These were very professional people who go the extra-mile for their customers. I only wish I had discovered them sooner. This was by far the best pruning job that has ever been done in the 9 years that I have been hiring trimmers for these trees and shrubs. The pricing was a very pleasant surprise, as it was actually lower than that of other trimmers who have only half done the job. I will never use another company in the future, and I am recommending Bartlett to all of my neighbors.

They are a little pricey, but they do an outstanding job.

I didn't have any work done by them but they gave me some advices as how to maintain the trees. They saved me money but telling this and didn't charge me anything.

I called Bartlett to get expert advice on a problem with my Pyrocantha espalier and set up a trim for my various trees. The Arborist showed up as scheduled a couple days later to tell me that I just needed to blast the espalier once a week and do an aggressive trim in the fall. The Mesquites and the Lemon tree were getting too much water, and he showed me how to trim them myself. He looked over the Palms and we set up the trim for a later date because of bird activity. When the trimmers came, we talked about possible birds nests and they checked thoroughly as they began trimming. They trimmed the trees exactly the way I wanted (and I have received compliments from neighbors) and piled the detritus on my brush pile in the alley. Then, to my delight, they shredded the entire brush pile and hauled it off. Excellent cleanup!

They were excellent. The work was outstanding. They gave me an estimate before they started the work. The man was an arborist and was very careful about going over all of the details about the various trees that I have, and what needs to be done and what doesn't need to be done. They were kind of expensive, but I got a quality job done, so I felt it was worth the money.

They did a wonderful job with the tree removal. They removed the tree and did it very quickly which was surprising to me. They removed the stump and ground it up which I liked very much even though it was a large percentage of the bill. The price for the whole job was very fair and I was comfortable with it. I would recommend this tree service very highly.

They are very scientific and top of the line in their business. They are very detailed and did not leave anything behind. I would recommend them to other people because they are priced well and do excellent work.

It went well. Although we were shocked by the price quoted {$300}, we learned that the company was the only one that does this kind of work. The technician {Matt} who came initially to diagnose the problem [stressed tree, not borers as we had thought], also came to apply the fertilizer. Personable, willing to talk about the work, the reasons, and seemed to be genuinely concerned to do a good job. Applied fertilizer with probe [6-7"] into the ground every square foot or so under the drip lines of these two old trees. Took care not to puncture our irrigation tubes, but indicated he would repair any he punctured. On both visits [diagnosis and treatment] he indicated what kind of fertilizer our other plants needed.

They are amazing people to work with. They are certified arborists and they do a fantastic job. Every penny I spent with this company was well worth it. I would recommend them to anyone who needs yard work done.

THE INITIAL EXPERIENCE WAS GOOD. SALESMAN WAS PROMPT TO HIS APPOINTMENT. ACTUAL WORK WAS NOT WELL PERFORMED. NOT ALL WORK QUOTED WAS FINISHED PROPERLY. WAS NOT TIMELY IN CARRYING OUT ALL WORK.

I HAVE UTILIZED THEIR SERVICES FOR YEARS AND HAVE ALWAYS BEEN SATISFIED AT THEIR KNOWLEDGE, AS WELL AS THE SERVICES THEY PROVIDE. THEY ARE VERY PROMPT AND EFFICIENT WHEN PERFORMING THE SERVICES.
