Description of Work: We have a service contract with Ambient Air and they have always been excellent to deal with. The Thumbs down is for attempting to sell us an A/C unit that cost several thousand dollars when the $4,000 unit was all we needed. They did not even make us aware of the less expensive unit. I had to find it on the internet. To be fair, the other A/C vendor we contacted - #1 rated Intelligent Design wanted to charge us about the same for a lesser unit than we eventually bought from Ambient. Buyer Beware - do your internet research!

Description of Work: Initial installation of HVAC (2006) resulted in Freon leak, requiring compressor replacement (under warranty). Drain line not connected to heater at initial installation, was missed in 2 previous service visits, was finally connected during last inspection. Pressure line at compressor cracked (not fault of Ambient), but line was replaced without expansion loop.

Description of Work: My husband and I arrived at our home late in the evening to find that the air conditioning was not working and 100 degree temperatures were forecast for the next several days. The next morning after calling several companes with no success I contacted Ambient Air who said they would send someone out that day between 2 & 5. They called around 4 to say the technician was running late and he could either come at 6 or we could reschedule the next day. We chose the former. Chris, the technician called a few minutes later to say he would be there in an hour. He arrived around 6:15, replaced a part and was finished within 45 minutes. He did a great job and we wound up purchasing a service contract from the company.
