I never see him....he is almost illusive; however, my pool is always clean and that's what it's all about.

I called him and got an answering machine, but he called me back within 15 minutes. He came, fixed the problem without any hassle. He was thoughtful, reset things, fixed what was broken, and told me what I could do to fix an issue myself. He and his assistant were both respectful, very nice, fixed what I needed. I’ll be calling him back, I would be happy to deal with him again, he gave a good first impression.

Daniel and his team are reliable and professional and do a thorough job maintaining our pool. We are first-time pool owners and have a lot of questions about the pool valves and machinery, and Daniel is very patient answering our questions and helping us understand how it all works. We especially appreciate his offer to "call me anytime" with pool concerns or questions. We are happy with First Choice's services and recommend them highly.

We started with the Angies list two month special. We were very happy with how 1st Choice maintained our pool and we were relieved because we had not been satisfied with the two companies we hired prior to 1st Choice. We have continued monthly service with 1st Choice and we continue to be very happy. Daniel at 1st Choice is very responsive and the pool looks great. They clean the filters and do all of the above mentioned maintenance. Also, when we had trouble with our Hot Tub jets 1st Choice was very responsive, and when needed referred us to a repair company who was able to quickly fix the problem. 1st Choice has been reliable, professional, polite, and most importantly our pool looks great.

He is fabulous. Punctual, every month, same time same day, puts chemicals in the pool and cleans the filters. As necessary he backwashes the pool. We have had a couple of problems with the pool and he has responded the same day with a solution. I have used other pool companies and he seems to be competitive in price; not real low, but not high either. Definitely a great service provider.

They were great from beginning to completion. On time, punctual and very pleasant. They explained everything before and after the job AND even called to make a follow-up visit with us to make sure everything worked correctly and to answer any question we might have. Very pleased with 1st Choice Pool Service!

Nice people. I think the guys wife was to call me back but there was a delay. I decided to go with the pool company who installed my pool and spa. No complaints about Choice Pools.

My experience with this company has been great. I initially purchased my deal a year ago through Angie's list for $750 for the year. Unfortunately they do not sell this deal anymore; however, I was able to get the same service for $850 this year. They always do a great job and Daniel is always responsive to communication (whether phone or e-mail). I would highly reccomend this them, they do a great job.

I am new to the area and also to pool maintenance. Our pool and spa had not been maintained well and needed some work. Manny first came and helped us determine what was needed, spotted a crack in the pool pump cover and taught us what we needed to do. Along the way there have been a number of things that have needed attention, including a malfunctioning Kreepy Krawler, leaking spa cover resulting in a dirty spa and a broken bolt in the pool cover motor. Manny diagnosed the problem so I could get a new bolt and fix it myself. It has been a learning curve for us and both Daniel and Manny have been great in teaching us. They have gone above and beyond, making extra trips to help me figure out what was going on. Their customer service is excellent and many times I have said to them "Once again you have saved my bacon!" I can't say enough about how great they are and I highly recommend them. Thank you Manny and Daniel!!

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was great. They didn't charge me more than the $99 Big Deal price. I would use them again in the future.

Very happy with Daniel's service. He's been absolutely reliable, he listens well, and he always answers my questions thoroughly. He leaves a time card that he fills out each time he comes. No other pool person I've had has ever done this. My pool is old--45-50 years--and has never been resurfaced. Mesquite branches hang over part of the pool. It's not easy to keep in shape during the summer, which is why it always must be serviced 2x a week in summer. Pool has been a joy to swim in this summer. Only once was there a little algae, and Daniel cleared it up immediately. He's definitely the best and most professional pool service person I've had in the 11 years I've lived here. Friends and family have also said that the pool looks better than it ever has.

We started with the Big Deal for 2 months of service. My pool was green and it had to be cleaned up to start regular maintenance. Unfortunately after a few weeks of treatment it didn't improve so he changed the sand in the filter. That didn't work so we bought a new filter and he installed it. It took about 6 weeks to get the pool clear but once it was fixed its the best it ever looked.

They re-set our pump as it was not working right. They cleaned and balanced the pool. They were very efficient. Very well done.

I really love them. I have been with them for about 2 years now. They help me keep it going, and when I need to replace things they help me find cost effective ways for solutions. They are very accommodating. I would highly recommended them. I pay $95 per month for the service. They are really good at following up with phone calls because I live in Colorado as well.

Pool is crystal clear and filter is running at half the pressure. Excellent results.

While looking for a reputable pool company in Tucson a saw the reviews for 1st Choice on Angie's List and decided to give them a try. We were off to a good start, the owner came out and determined my pool cleaning needs with a promise to begin regular service the following Monday. I have to somewhat intimidating dogs so the maintenance man agreed to call ahead so that I could secure the dogs. It continued like this for the next few months and my pool looked great. I informed the company that I was starting a pool area renovation project soon and gave them the contract managers contact info, with instructions that they should coordinate their efforts, so that my pool remained in good condition throughout the project. This is where the break down began. On a weekly basis I received complaints from my renovation guys that the pool guy wasn't doing his job-only staying for a few minutes. I informed the 1st Choice owner who responded with Manny(the technician)says he was out there. Meanwhile, my pool is filling with debris and getting greener by the day. I left on vacation for a few weeks and came back to a disgusting pool. My biggest fear was that my pump and filters were being compromised. After numerous unanswered phone calls and messages I finally saw the owner out checking my equipment on a Saturday. I informed at that point that I would find someone else to maintenance my pool. I realize this is a special circumstance involving renovation but ultimately I need someone I can trust to have my best interests at heart. UNFORTUNATELY , this was not 1st Choice.

Slightly frustrated by not getting return calls on time, scheduling error, and no copy of paperwork.

I used them through one of their big deals. They were fine and great. They told me what they were going to do for my pool and they have been doing it every time as they said they would. They are really good at keeping my pool perfect. I would use them again in the future.

For the second time the monthly bill I received containing an $8.00 charge for a late fee and alleged I had not paid my bill. This happened several months ago and again this month. In each case, when I checked my bank, the check I sent them immediately after getting my bill had been cashed by the company. They said I had not paid for August on the invoice I received for September on 9/3rd. I wrote the check on 8/1 (the day their bill came in the mail) and they cashed it on 8/2! I do not appreciate being charged for payments I have already made and in a timely manner. The first time it happened the owner was very apologetic and assured me it would not happen again yet here it is again. Whatever the company's other fine qualities, they are grossly unprofessional and offensive in their bookkeeping.

The website stated free estimate of work. However in the phone call they informed me of a $45 visit fee. Told them I was not interested.

90 percent satisfied. Excellent in all respects regarding weekly service. When we had a pump problem, it took him too long to determine that we needed to bring in someone with specific expertise.

We had a problem with the PH and they supplied a water sample bottle so we could get the PH checked and then fix the problem. They were responsive with our phone calls and questions.
