Terminix - Tempe -Termite & Pest Control

I love Terminix. They were amazing and I have been with them for about 4-5 months. Gary is the most personable, efficient and polite person. If you have anything come up in between services they will come back out and take care of it. They leave you a note if you are not there and let you know what they did and anything they may have seen. I can't say enough nice about him.

We really don’t have any dislikes about them. They come on a regular basis or whenever we call them. The effectiveness of their work has seemed to be pretty good. We don’t have any bugs. We think they were the lowest price with the ones that we checked. We would use them again in the future.

Their work is very effective.

I spent a $100 on their services. They’re just on time and prompt. They’re good about calling to let me know about when they’re coming. I don’t really have a whole lot of interaction with them. I’m on a contract with them and I will use them again in the future.

I think it was very beneficial. They got rid of all the little black spiders. They were really friendly. They did a good job. She was very thorough. She checked places that I had seen bugs before. She was very responsive. She was very professional. She knew what she was talking about.

Their service costs $40 a month. I had very serious problem a few years ago. My whole house was infested with carpenter ants. They did a real professional job where they tented the whole house actually and fumigated it. In general, they seem to have knowledgeable staff, not 100% but most of them. I don't know what to say about them that one job they did, but this is several years ago. I still have to spray once a month and there will be no ants. There are no bugs or infestations in my house. There has been a couple of minor issue, I would rate them good. I have not compared their price as they are the only one I have used for many years. For quality, I can say since there are no bugs in my house, I would rate them highly on that. They usually send an e-mail stating they would be here on this particular day. They don't necessarily specify time. They are usually punctual about that day. I would definitely use them in the future and I have a contract with them. When they did the fumigation, they guaranteed that my house would be pest free, if I subscribe to their monthly service. So, it is like a contract and I am locked in.

Not seeing any more ants. They are on call to answer questions. They provide education info. So I could fix things to prevent future issues.

Overall, they have done a good job. I like their availability and they will come at any time. They are also very accomodating with my schedule.

They did routine sprayings for us. They also did some mole work. They were always willing to do extra work. They were punctual. They always told us when they were coming and arrived one time. They were very easy to work with and we did not have any bugs.

We hired Terminex for monthly pest control years ago. They seemed very thorough initially, drilling into the walls and placing some sort of pesticide for "carpenter ant and related insect" control. 2 weeks ago we began replacing our deck and at the same time, painting the house. After just a few hours, the painter were at my door to report that, while prepping the wall beneath our old deck, the scrapers went right through the siding, into a nest of some kind of insect nest, and there was evidence that whatever they were, wood was on their menu. We immediately call Terminex. The promised appointment time came and gone, no one from terminex showed up. My wife and I had taken the day off work to meet with them. After the appointment "window', we called and found the technician got busy with some other pest control operation and couldn't make the appointment. We were not pleased, indicating our surprise at not having even been called about this. With raised voices (I hate doing that, but I was mad!), we insisted they come to inspect our damage immediately. Very reluctantly, he agreed, and several hours later, showed up. We removed the siding and found extensive damage to the studs and one structural beam. He seemed initially very puzzled, stating repeatedly that this was a very unusual case, and that he would need to take samples for positive identification, but suspected termites, and the worst kind of termites. He told us that a $2000 pesticide application was the only real solution. Citing his supposed previous career as a general contractor, he suspected the structural repair would cost $190,000. Shocked, we began looking for second opinions. We asked three pest control and contractors to have a look. Each immediately identified the cause as moisture ants, noting that this was not the right kind of soil for termites, and were also shocked that anyone would even suggest this. They also explained that moisture ants only attack wet wood, and they could see that a design flaw on our old deck allowed water inside the wall, behind the siding, creating an ideal environment for the ants. All 3 told us that pest control treatments were not needed; eliminate the wet wood and we eliminate the pests. We were furious with Terminex. A week later, and 5 days after the promised "final test identification", terminex called and told us they found moisture ants and carpenter ants, and would still need the expensive treatment. We fired them immediately. How dare they send someone with no more expertise than myself to diagnose and solve our problem. A disappointing experience.

They come out every three months and set traps and so forth. I have an annual service contract with them. They are consistently good. I have a good relationship with them.

They are very thorough, and I haven’t had any pests as long as I have been using them. The workers are very pleasant, and I have no complications with them at all. I would recommend them to others. Their prices are pretty competitive. I would rate them highly and would continue to use them in the future.

When I first called the 800 number they were super responsive and came out immediately. The deal is, you pay about $100 a quarter, they come out once a quarter to spray, and if you see any bugs in the meantime you just call them at any time and they will come out and spray again. Once they get their money they refuse to call you back. When I call the 800 number they tell me they are unable to schedule an appointment with the local shop and will have the local shop call me back. I've been calling them for three weeks and have yet to receive a return call from the "local" shop. Update: After scheduling an appointment through the 800 number for this morning not only are they refusing to call me back, they did not show up for the scheduled appointment. I have been sitting here for two hours and have received no phone or contact at all. I called the 800 number again, was given the corporate number, and all they can do is ask the local service provider and the district supervisor to call me back. Very, very, very poor service. Update #2: The technician did show up for the appointment, he was just 20 minutes late. He was very nice, helpful, and appologetic for the trouble we've had. He left his direct number with us for the future. It is a different number than you get when you look in the yellow pages. I have not received any calls or communication from the corporate office even though they said the districr supervisor would call me back. Bottom line: the technician is great, the company is not- make sure you get the direct line when your technician comes out.

The thing I like about their service is they contact us before coming out. If it is needed, they do inside the house, and if not, they just do the outside the house. They are very easy to work with because during the same day, we had a plumber coming out to do some work. We had them for years now. We have been using their quarterly service for over a year now.

Everything has gone well so far. The first guy that came out, whose name is Steven, was very nice and explained the entire process for me on how they were going to address our issue. He really took his time to explain everything for me. All of the guys that have come out since do a really good job as well. Anyone looking for a thorough pest control company, I would highly recommend Terminix.

Everything has been ok. Some of there employees do a great job and some don’t. The past few times we had a good employee come out and I requested that we have the same guy every time. They were very responsive to my needs, which I appreciated.

They are dependable, and I generally know when they are going to be coming. That being said, there have been some communication issues.

We have used Terminix for 22 years. I hate I have to use a pesticide but they do a good job. Once they figured out where the key was on the fence and passed it on to the other techs it has worked better. They appear to be knowledgeable about their products. I have them spray the foundation and do not have them come in the house because I have pets. Their price is average. Their responsiveness is good. When I saw a rat once they arrived quickly. Since I have had the service so long they will reimburse us for any carpenter ant damage we may find.

They are good. We are happy with them. I paid them $118.26 when they last came out. They are responsive. One time, they had somebody who didn?t take care of a hornet's nest or didn?t seem to see it. So, they just had all kinds of people out here within a matter of hours to fix it. With hornets sometimes they can lay pretty low and you can miss it and they also hide their nests. We had some yard workers here who were chased off the property by the hornets. So, we called Terminix because they had just been here. They came right out and fixed it. We would use their services in the future too.

You get what they advertise. I get different products that I am looking for. I would continue to use them in the future.

They provide good customer service and do a very good job.

Their quarterly schedule fits me perfectly. I called a variety of the companies in the area and I was impressed with Terminix and their professionalism. There was another company who came out and offered me a forty eight hundred dollar deal to clear out my crawl space, because they smelled something dead. Terminix came out and said there was no smell and I pay them about five hundred dollars a year for the service. For their first visit the man who sprayed came out three times.

I have not had any problems with them. We have a contract with them and they come out once a month. They are professional and punctual. The prices seem average.

We had a year long contract with the company, wtih quarterly service. We had trouble from the second quarter on. The technician would arrive with no notice. If no one was home, he would perform the service outside only instead of both outside and inside and then bill us for the entire service. We had trouble getting the technician back to finish the service. At one point I complained to the Better Business Bureau and got a nice letter back offering me a quarter of free service. When the technician arrived in August to perform the last (free service), he was again unscheduled, was unprepared to perform the entire service, and he billed us. I called the Terminix office and was assured that the charge would not go through. When our credit card statement arrived, the charge was still there. It has taken 3 calls to try to get the charge removed, and I am still not convinced that anyone will follow through.
