Terminix - Tempe -Termite & Pest Control

I am very pleased with Terminix. They are prompt. If I call them with an issue, they come right away and deal with it. They don't charge me anything extra, as long as it is in the service. They have scheduled visits every 3 months. I pay for a year plan.

They used to be a lot better than they are now and they also charge more than they should. There have been times when they have done their work but I still had the bugs for another day or two. They have also come out to redo it but they have not been very flexible with the timings.

They come once every 3 months and spray outside the house. The only concern that I have with them is that their rates keeps increasing, but I guess that is normal. They are fine and they always come in if we have any concerns. Their quality is good.

We have had a couple of problems working with them, however since they are a large company I can usually get a hold of the right people and they send someone out right away. For example we had a large wasps nest in our yard and the people who were coming out to do tree service could not work, because of the large live wasp nest in one of the trees. Terminix had been out twice and had ignored it. I called them and asked what was going on, and the next morning they sent a couple of people out to take care of everything. So if you get through to the right people they will rectify any problems. The quality of the work, responsiveness and punctuality all depend on who they send out to do the work. I have no contact with Terminix when they come out, they just leave me a note when they are finished.

They are professional and do a good job. I don't have any pest problems. They come every couple of months to check up on everything. They do very good quality work.

The person from Terminix came out, inspected the property and didn't find any activity, but gave me their list of services. I may use him when the time comes to use his service, because he was very thorough in his inspection. He was professional and honest in telling me that I didn t have any problem. He gave preventive advice rather than push his product. I don t know if they have any other agencies, but the person who came to our place did a very good job.

The traps were placed promptly and were effective at catching one rat. They came out the next day to remove the rat and re-set the trap. They were also good at explaining to me areas of the roof where the rats were likely gaining access to the house. The removal of the insulation did not go quite as smoothly. They missed two appointments and seemed very rushed when they showed up. My guess is that their manager told them that they had to finish the job that day in order to keep the customer happy. I would have preferred them to do a quality job, even if it extended into a second day. There were a few areas in the attic where they did not do a complete job removing the rat droppings. They did give a price discount because of the missed appointments.

They were the ones that gave us the best deal. We now have a service contract with them and they come out every three months or any time we need them for a problem. They show up promptly and I really appreciate that they show up on time.

The serviceman who come and does the work is very polite. They also call us a couple days before the service to remind us they are coming. They are very professional and courteous.

So basically they came to my house to set traps and in doing so they made my rodent problem worse. They set traps in the wrong places. The service was ineffective. I don't know how any other rodent control companies would be more effective.

The experience has been pretty good although lately we have had issues with scheduling and them not showing up for appointments. We will continue to use them in the future.

I think the best word to describe my experience is 'ridiculous'. I found them on this site and went to their web site. I found lots of information and a remarkably handy way of subscribing and scheduling my first visit. I purchased a one year agreement and scheduled a site visit for the same week. They have a two hour time frame for the visit. Near the end of this period I decided to call the company. A person of modest capacity answered the call and informed me that there was no record of my having purchased anything but she would be happy to take my credit card information and schedule an appointment. I was wondering at this point if this person is compensated on closed sales - I suspect so. I actually gave this person quite a bit of information but protested at giving the credit card info. After arguing for some time I was transfered to another person who said she could see that I had indeed scheduled an appointment and paid for the service. This person told me that a service manager would call the next business day. The next evening I called again. Much to my surprise, the person indicated that the initial visit had been rescheduled for the next day [now] and after being promted I checked the exterior doors for any evidence of such a visit: none was present. I was promised that I'd get a call from a service manager. The next day came and I called again and received another promise of a service manager call the next business day. Again I was informed that the visit had been rescheduled for "today" and again I checked for any evidence of a visit. Once again, there wasn't any. The next business day, at this point, was after a holiday and I did in fact get a call from someone who promised that she was capable of scheduling a visit. Was this supposed to inspire confidence? I don't know. I described my relationship with Terminix thus far and pondered aloud whether I wanted to continue doing business with the company. In the end, I decided I did not want to work with a company that was so confused. I thanked the caller and said goodbye. Life is too short to deal with people who make a simple chore such a convoluted, time-consuming mess. I'd rather do it myself than go through the frustration of dealing with this company. Please consider yourselves warned.

They have been okay in the past, but in the past four months or so, there has been an accumulation of mice in my home. Several of the professional decisions they make I don't think are quite effective, and actually detrimental. $250 is for one year.

Very pleased. If I see anything, they come back the next day. Price per three months.

The serviceman was a great guy. He was very personal and he never tried to add on extra things in which I didn't need. Their prices were very low and I haven't had any problems with the critters since they came out.

On a few occasions the technicians have failed to warn us when they would be coming to our home to spray, just showing up whenever, which we didn't like. However, the service is good.

They are excellent, very nice, and have reasonable prices. They even spray inside the walls to make sure everything is taken out. I would definitely recommend them. They are very professional and are always on time. I will definitely continue the agreement.

I was very pleased with the last visit as well as all other visits I have had from them. They are a very professional company. Even the lady in the customer service department is great. Her name is Drake. We paid for the year and they will come as much as you want. Also if you pay the full amount up front, you get a 10% discount on the price. That is really good I think.

They are very good, however I don't like that they have been changing the chemicals to another that has a higher amount of toxic. This concerns me a little because of my family health, but I think they do a very good job and they always come on time.

I am pretty satisfied with their service. I have used them for a couple of years now and their service seems to take care of the ant problems I was experiencing.

Terminix just bought out the company that was called. With the year-long contract paid for, I asked for help with wasps/ yellow jackets, and keeping the spider population at a reasonable level. Nothing was done about the wasps/ yellow jackets, and the sum total of help I got with spiders was a note saying I had too many plants near the house. When I called again regarding a second possible flare-up of bedbugs, I was told treatment would be $150 per room. They didn't offer to come out to see if that was the problem, didn't have any interest in diagnosing what was going on. I made a couple calls to other pest control companies on the list and found a Professional who had me bring my kid in to look at what seemed like bites - they weren't bites at all. No treatment needed. See my POSITIVE report on the other company. I'll never deal with Terminix again.

A local representative finally called us back after a week from our initial call. I told him that we had gone with a different company and the reason for that. I then got another call the following day claiming that he had never called us, and then another the day after that (today). I've told them not to call me anymore.

The inspector seemed to do a thorough job and explained what he was doing at each step along the way, as well as suggesting things we could do to minimize rodent infestation. They scheduled a follow-up inspection, but no one showed up. I called two weeks later and they apologized, and the original inspector returned the next day and checked the traps, removing two dead rats and leaving the traps in place until our next scheduled inspection.

I have mixed feelings about Terminix. They did respond to my call right away and fit me in that day. The man that came over confirmed that rats had been in our attic & convinced me that we had to sign a year long contract with Terminix for this kind of work. They supposedly patched up some holes upstairs, made recommendations on cutting back trees, set up traps in the attic and set poison outside. We regularly check the traps and call them if we see one (they come out and dispose of the dead rat). They also come out quarterly to check on the poison and meet any other pest control needs (no additional charge as part of your yearlong contract). They have tried to convince me to replace all of our insulation upstairs as a way to put a permanent end to any rat troubles at a cost of a few thousand (haven't done yet) We still have occasional rats in the traps, which is unnerving. They've done a good job thus far, although, I would want to check around before committing to them again.

Great experience! Sheryl Eddy came out and was very helpful describing in detail about the world of ants and spiders. I liked her ability to inform in a teaching matter. Didn't feel rushed or made to feel stupid. The company's service/inspection report was detailed and well designed. I especially liked the fact that they had a ''in/out'' category so I knew exactly how much time was spent on the job.
