I appreciated the fact that blowout of the drip lines was included. I had used someone else a couple of weeks prior and they claimed that I needed a couple of thousand dollars work to be done but after using Schiller as a second opinion it was obvious that the fix was simply to blow out the drip lines (not included in their checkout service). Well worth the $59 to find this out. This kind of service builds trust.

My AC went out during the night on a Saturday. Forecast was calling for 112 degrees on Sunday. I called Schiller Heating & Cooling at 7 am on Sunday morning and told answering service I needed service right away. Within 30 minutes, Brandon called me and was at my home in another 30 minutes. My AC unit is on the roof and he was on the roof working on the unit long before the excessive heat came that day. He tested performance of the unit and added needed freon. He said a new motor might be needed but then determined a less expensive part would suffice. He replaced the part and my house was cool again! I appreciated his honesty and excellent work. I would call Brandin for AC services in the future.

Called them for a quote of installing a new 14 SEER 4.5 ton split system. Their quote for the TRANE XR14 system is way more expensive($2000~$2500 more) than the other companies I called. And they are the only one didn't check out the attic to make sure the new system can fit. Seems more like a sales guy than a tech person.

The service tech was right on time and very nice and professional. He checked all components and cleaned up after himself and gave me some very helpful information. I would definitely use them again.

The service provider, (I can't remember his name), was amazing. He was so friendly and professional and a super nice guy. This is a family owned business and we dealt with his wife on the phone. She was also very nice and professional. The service was done in a timely manner and was done perfectly. We are very happy with Schiller Heating and Cooling and will definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone who asks.

I really liked the techs (Robert, Brandon and Jim) and their small company. The problem was that when I requested the to honor the Angie's List "Heating & A/C: $35 off repairs and free second opinions on major repairs($65 value)", Marissa (at the office) wouldn't let me use it. Brandon came out and confirmed the compressor was bad. (I mentioned the coupon to him too) He provided a quote to repair or to replace the compressor. At my request, he had the office email me a set of prices for replacing the A/C system. Based on the age of the A/C and the warranty that comes with a new versus repaired unit, I ultimately opted to replace the system. Thankfully, I took the time to get three other quotes. Schiller's quote for a new Trane system was by far the highest. I was disappointed that they didn't follow up at all. I had many questions about the pros and cons of repairing or replacing, as well as the differences between the efficiency levels of the new systems. There was no contact after they sent the email with the pricing, ...until they sent the bill, confirming for me that they wouldn't honor the free second opinion. Also, all the other companies that provided quotes did so at no charge even though they came out for an on-site visit. I was able to get my questions answered by talking to the other companies' technicians providing quotes. Bottom line: Schiller's quote for a new Trane system was by far the highest of the four companies, by several thousands of dollars.

Did a good job, explained things well, and did not ask me to buy or "fix" anything, since everything was working well for now. They scheduled an appt soon after I called and the mechanic was on time.

One of the best experiences for such a large purchase and installation I have ever had. Robert Schiller (one of the owners) was especially consistent and provided excellent customer service as well as explained all of the options and 'ins and outs' of the installation. Upon removal of the 30-year old unit, they noticed the damage and incorrect foundation on my roof. Schiller made sure the entire process went smoothly, quickly, and was thorough in their explanation of the components. The level of professionalism and service of this company is above all measure - if I were to recommend them, there isn't a score high enough!

January 1, 2015 and had only joined Angie's List 30 min before. The house heater had been acting up, and when I woke up to the New Year the outside temperature was 45 degrees, inside was only 50. Called Schiller Heating & Cooling and within 1/2 hour Brandon showed up for a Diagnostic. He was prompt, courteous, and very straightforward in troubleshooting and Diagnosing the problems. Within 15 minutes he found the trouble, sensibly described the potential fixes, and there associated cost.. Since it was New Years day, and all suppliers were closed, he was only able to do a temporary fix. He explained that he would return the next day early, to install the permanent parts for a complete fix. The next day he was at the house by 830 AM, I was at work, and fixing the problem. Like many things his fixing the main problem enabled him to find two secondary problems that were still crippling my house heater. He called and explained the additional work needed, did the work, and was off the roof by 930 AM. At no time did he try to push additional work, other parts, or recommend unnecessary services. The work was straightforward, timely, and much needed. Thank you Brandon, and Schiller Heating and Cooling.

Great job... Robert showed up early after calling ahead to let me know he was on his way. Performed a full check up om my air handler and condensing unit. He found it to be old but running as effectively as an old unit can. He did not pressure me to invest in a new unit. I was very interested in purchasing newer more efficient equipment before it went bad (usually in the middle of summer). Robert gave me several options and a proposal that day. We made a decision later in the week to schedule the work to remove and replace the unit. Schiller Heating and Air is a truly professional outfit that I would not hesitate to use in the future.

Office was very patient as I had to reschedule the appointment a couple of times. Techs were prompt, thorough, very experienced and honest about the condition of my system. I appreciated the honesty and advice on what to look for to prevent major damage in the event of a failure. I will definitely refer Schiller to my clients in the future for all their a/c needs.

Great! On time, informative, and professional. They even washed my dishes and cleaned the cat's litter, which had not been done this century.

The service provider came within his two hour window. He was very efficient and was in and out within 1 hour. The units that he did service on worked like a charm all summer.

Schillers was at the top of the list, a Tempe firm and had really good reviews. I called, thinking I'd be at this for a while. They immediately said they could have someone out between 1-3PM, about 2 hours later.. Brandon and Jim showed up close to 1PM...Introduced themselves, asked me what was going on, then immediately got their ladders and headed up on the roof. They were professional, polite and efficient. In 30 minutes or so I went outside. The ladders were all put back on the top of their truck. I ask what they found. They explained to me that a capacitor had blown and they replaced it. I went back inside and found myself with cold air coming in... and panic leaving my body....I settled up with them and they went on their way. I would highly recommend using this firm for anyone with AC problems. They've earned their rating on A/L and I'm about to add to it!

I just cannot say enough about this company. We are very low on money at this time were and were afraid to call anyone for service. We looked at several companies on Angie's List and called this company based on the rating and quite frankly a coupon. Brandon was extremely prompt, thorough and talked us through everything. He got our 18-year-old air conditioner working for only $109.00, and left our home nice and cool! I would recommend them to anyone and will use them again for ALL of our heating and cooling needs!

They're good people. Because of the maintenance agreement, they took 25% off the parts and labor.

My a/c was not cooling properly. They came out and checked it out. Unfortunately all they could find was the gas levels were a little low. The guy said he doubts that is what caused the issue, but right now nothing else is showing bad. It always stinks when you don't get a definitive answer, but I will take a "I don't know" over making something up and charging me for it. I respect that they were honest with me. They told me to keep an eye on it. Their service call which was $69 is warrantied for 30 days, so if I have to call them back you are only charged for further repairs. I will update this review if I have to have them back.

It took nine days to have someone come out from the first request, but I completely understand the delay. It is prime time AC time in Phoenix and my request was just a tuneup, not an emergency or install. Robert (one of the owners) arrived ontime. He went right to work. Once he had the cover off he had me take a look at what was obviously causing the noise problem. He gave me a couple of options for repair. One option was to order a new part that would cost around $100 or the second option was to apply some high grade tape on the cracked plastic part. He was very honest and said that the tape would work just fine in solving the problem and ordering the part was probably a waste of money. After that repair, he went through all his tuneup test results and what they meant in laymen's terms. He gave recommendations on continued maintenance that I could perform that would help with efficiency and the lifespan of the unit. He also provided an estimate of potential upcoming repairs and their cost. I was only charged the $59 for the tuneup with no sales pitch or service agreement add-ons. I was very impressed with Robert's professionalism and honesty. I would call them again for any cooling or heating needs.

Best A/C company I've had out at any of my homes.

I called on Tuesday and was able to schedule an appointment for Wednesday. Rob was on time, very pleasant and professional. I had a lot of questions which he answered very patiently. I'd use them again.

,Called Schiller because my Heating/AC unit stopped running. Spoke with a representative in the afternoon and an an appt. was made for 8:00 the next morning. The technicain arrived as scheduled, immediately located the problem, and unit was running again, all within about 20 minutes. Problem solved.
