Description of Work: I believe that I paid for service and products that I did not receive. Not sure that I actually needed a capacitor. I was charged $170 for this part. Again not sure how much they should cost or if I really needed this. I was charged ~$300 for coil cleaning. This process involved pouring some acid into the coil area and rinsing it out. Took less than 5 minutes. The system was not draining and I don't think the teck actually rinsed it out for that reason. I also paid for semi annual cleaning and maintenance. After thinking about the annual service I decided to request a refund on it. I have not received that refund as of today. Have called twice on this matter. The reason I don't believe the coils were cleaned is that I called another company for their maintenance. Their tech said that the coils were dirty and showed me a picture. I am not sure what a clean or a dirty coil should look like. The same tech did mention that unscrupulous companies will typically charge customers for service and parts not needed. He specifically said that they charge for cleanings and capacitors not needed. He did say that the capacitor was new. Let the buyer beware. I was hoping that Angie contractors would be trustworthy.

Description of Work: Replaced Hot Surface Igniter on Furnace - They cam out and replaced a Hot surface igniter on our furnace. They were 4 hours late, took a total of 11 hours from time I called Saturday morning. They told me the price of the Hot surface igniter part was $490, when I questioned it they said it took a special one and that they could not discount the price. Went to Johnstone Supply on Monday morning to check the price of the part, it was $27.80 Retail cheaper wholesale if you are in the business. Plain and simple they ripped me off about $460 on the part. Looking at other complaints this, seems like ripping people off is business as usual for this company. They also were going to come over give me an estimate on a new HVAC system and they did not even show up for that appointment on the 15th. OH and I did not even get a flashlight when they ripped me off. Looks like I was lucky they did not come over and give me a price on a new HVAC system.

Description of Work: I had an average experience with Goettl. Our air stopped working and we contacted them after an internet search of repair companies. They came out and recommended we buy a new unit. The cost to repair our old unit would be applied forward to the cost of a new unit. We had to agree to purchase a new unit from them that day and before seeing the prices. I did not like the prices for the quality of the unit offered. We backed out of the deal during the rescind window and found better offers for a new unit through other companies. We did end up paying Goettl for the repair and still came out ahead from their original offer. In fairness to them, they responded when we called and the repairs have been working in the time it's taken us to figure out a new plan.

Description of Work: They installed 2 AC units and repaired duct work. They did a great job and were very polite and professional. The price was perfect as well. They are the only ones I let work on my AC.

Description of Work: Goettl must just feel my money isn't good enough for them. Granted I called them to schedule their "complete 26 point" A/C Tuneup for the upcoming summer cooling season, and I asked for the $59 special, instead of their $119 normal price. So I assume I was already not a VIP customer. The gentleman on the phone was super-nice, and very accommodating, we scheduled for Saturday 5/10. They called that morning to reschedule because we weren't a priority, others had non-working AC units, so I understood. We scheduled for 5/20, had to take a half day off work. They never showed up and never called, I had to call the office and they said that the service man scheduled to come out called in sick, they were very apologetic and told me I would be written in bold and would be the first stop in the 2-6PM slot. The gentleman on the phone said he would personally make sure of it. Our time slot came and went, so I made a call, they apologized and said they could come out by 8PM, yes PM! I told them that we couldn't do that, as we had a 2 year old that had to go to sleep. The servicer said the office would call in the morning, they did, but I didn't answer.
