I called several companies for estimates, but when I saw the rave reviews Discount Floors had received on Angie's List and met Bruce, the choice was easy. Bruce came out to my home with a variety of samples for me to look at. I didn't see one that I loved at first, but he went back to his vehicle and brought in more. He gave me a very accurate estimate and we arranged the date of service. I panicked about my choice the week before the scheduled installation and Bruce graciously went to the warehouse and brought me a plank of the flooring so I could see that it was, in fact, beautiful. On the day installation was to begin, Eric showed up right on time and worked non-stop for 7 full days, including Saturday, Sunday and Labor Day. He was absolutely meticulous with the installation and took the time to be sure that I could be comfortable each night before he left, cleaning everything up and reconnecting the TV, etc. He did such an impressive job with the molding in my walk-in closet that I've been taking any visitors who come to my house back there to see it. Bruce stopped by midway through the job to be sure that it was progressing satisfactorily and again at the end to see the results. I could not be happier with the work that was done or the quality of the flooring. I recommend Discount Floors without reservation - a true treasure of a find. Both Bruce and Eric are absolutely fantastic. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Could not be happier with the level of service or the quality of the products and workmanship. We were a bit hesitant, at first, to choose what appeared to be a smaller flooring company for such a large project, however, after one meeting with Steve, we knew we wanted to have Discount Floors do the work. Steve is extremely easy to work with and there is absolutely no high pressure sales tactics. He returned to our home 3 times to make sure we felt we making the best choice and went out of his way to pick up samples of a tile he does not usually carry so that we could see it in our home prior to making a final decision. He is very knowledgeable about the products and allows you to feel that you are in good hands throughout the project. This was an extensive demolition project, as we had rather cheap and poorly installed travertine tile throughout much of the home that needed to be removed prior to installation of our new tile. Steve was very up front about the process and what to expect, but made sure to check in with us frequently to make sure we were feeling good about the progress. He indicated that we would have an excellent installation crew and, while no one would expect the company representative to say otherwise, we've all certainly experienced and heard about less than stellar workmanship by the folks that actually do the work. Not in this case. Our installation crew was outstanding. Albert and his team were very polite and we never felt uneasy about having them in our home - even when we needed to leave due to the noise and dust. No worries. We have lived through extensive remodel projects before and have never had a tile installation completed to such high standards. Although we were very happy with the outcome, Steve saw one tile cut that he felt might be handled better and offered to have the crew return to remove and replace that one tile. Wow. Who does that? This project changed the layout of the new tile to diagonal, which required expert planning and layout to minimize cuts - especially since this tile extends through several rooms and hallways. We actually had another unrelated contractor ask who did our flooring because he was so impressed with the quality of the tile work. Also very happy with the carpet install. Quality people, products and service all around. Big or small project - you won't be disappointed if you choose to work with Steve and Discount Floors.

They did an excellent, excellent job. They were very professional. They gave us a very competitive quote/price and it also had the best quality. They worked very fast. They said it would take 5 days but they finished within 4 days. They followed up with us after everything was done to make sure that we were happy.

Pressed at the last minute for time (listing house on market), I contacted discount floors for an estimate. I got one the very next day, picked the carpet I wanted and wrote a check for the work. The carpet was installed that Friday...mere hours before the photographer was due. Whew! Long story short, crew came in, did the job well, and left. No problems, good install, no mess left behind, carpet looks great! For the price it could not be beat. Very happy they could squeeze me into their schedule. Thank You!

professional, timely - neat great job

They removed old vinyl tile from two small bathrooms and removed toilets. I had removed the two vanities. They installed 20" porcelein floor tile with a 4" trim on wall. The tile was installed and toilets were installed in a day and a half. They were courteous, efficient and cleaned up very well. They even followed up the next day with a phone call to make sure everything went well and we were satisfied.

This was an easy process!!! Steve came to the house with samples and the man was a saint as I poured over them and waffled between carpet or wood floors. He has a really good knowledge base and lets you know when he really thinks something is not going to work. He gave me estimates for the present job as well as future ones, for both carpet and wood. The carpet was installed a few weeks later and the installers were very polite. The carpet looks beautiful and is thick and luxurious! I am very happy with the whole process and as soon as I save up more money I am going to have a few more rooms done!

I saw Steve on a Friday and the new carpets were installed the following Tuesday. The installers showed up on time and were very careful when they moved my furniture, some of which had to be taken apart. They were very professional and proficient at their job and I was very impressed! One of them even adjusted one of my closet doors. It's actually a bit longer than the other one and got stuck on the new thicker carpeting, but he fixed it so it would work. When they finished they replaced the furniture and vacuumed the carpets. It looked beautiful!! Thanks Steve, the installers and Discount Floors for a terrific job, at an excellent price!! I would use these guys again in a heartbeat!!

What a quick and painless process it was to get our new carpet! Bruce came to our home with carpet samples on Thursday (6/11). Not only were we able to quickly pick the perfect, high quality carpet, but they even had it in stock! That means we were able to schedule the install that very next Monday (6/17)! The pricing was definitely fair. We had received a quote from Baker's Bros that was almost twice what Discount Floors quoted! Plus, Discount Floors included an upgraded pad at no extra charge for Angie's List members. The installers arrived on time on Monday and within a few hours were completely done. They did an excellent job with the install. Absolutely no complaints. We are extremely happy with the results and would use them again in a heartbeat!

This is the second time I have used DF. Same as before, great reasonable price and selection. Install was done in one day with detail to everything including stair steps. I will continue to use DF on my next flooring project.

Steve brought several samples. I chose the the one I liked and he was able to special order it for me and get it within a few days. The carpet installers did a great job! They were very professional and polite and did an excellent job cleaning up.

Steve came to my home with various samples and was very helpful in picking the product that would best in my great room. The wood looks expensive but was reasonably priced. Steve was very good about following up and keeping me informed about when the materials would be in and promptly scheduled the installation. The installer, Eric, arrived as scheduled and took great care in making sure that my floor looked great before he finished. Steve followed up with me the day of the installation as well as a week later to ensure that I was happy with their work. From start to finish, they were professional and very customer oriented. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for flooring.

The hardwood that I purchased from Discount Floors looked so good that I decided to replace all the carpeting in my home. Steve came out and measured and provided numerous samples to choose from. The carpet was ordered and installation was scheduled promptly. The men doing the installation were great and carefully moved my furniture and installed everything within a single mark on my freshly painted walls. Steve stopped by during installation to ensure that I was pleased with their service and called a week after installation to make sure I had no questions or concerns. The entire job cost less than I had expected and I'm totally pleased with the carpet and their excellent service.

Bruce come to my home on Thursday and brought a selection of ceramic tile. I chose the tile I wanted. The workmen came on Monday and finished on Tuesday. They were very professional and polite. I am very satisfied with the job that they did.

Best experience with home improvement company ever. Steve met with us to estimate pricing and options, quote was lower than any others received - less than HALF of what we received from Express Flooring (as well as much more informative/personal)! We were looking to have the work completed ASAP and he was able to get the two crews scheduled very quickly. Both the tile and carpet crews were efficient and quick with attention to detail - the work was completed earlier than we had even planned. Everyone who has seen it is full of compliments and we will surely call Steve if we need any other work done. We are extremely happy with the products, work done, and price and have recommended Steve and Discount Floors to everyone.

We had to have the installation done in a particular week to accommodate the spring break of the Pre School using the rooms. The installers arrived on the day they said they would and accomplished the job in a professional manner with no problems. Steve checked on the installation to make sure it was going as expected.. We had a couple of small things that we went over with Steve at the end of the installation. . The installers came out the next day and took care of the minor items. I was impressed with the work and the fact they completed the job in the time frame exactly as Steve said they would.

The owner came to my home and brought samples and spent approximately 2 plus hours with me. I was able to choose the flooring and see it in the light of my home. The owner was very patient with me and let me take each sample to each area of my home to see the affects of different lighting in the home. This is the way to go! I absolutely love the flooring I chose. The gentlemen who laid the flooring were very hard workers and conscientious about cleaning up after each day and starting in a timely manner. I would definitely recommend this company again.

Steve came to our home and showed us samples. We were pleased with him and his pricing. The order was placed, and he kept us very well informed as to when the carpet would be arriving from the plant. The day of installation there was heavy rain, and he called to tell us they would delay for a couple of hours, so the rain would be gone. They came about 3 hours after their original time, and worked very efficiently to lay the carpet that day. Nice crew did the work. No problems of any kind. A very good experience.

What came after that was the disappointing piece. Right from the get go it felt like Bruce was not interested in making the sale. As a prudent shopper i had requested quotes from several companies for the carpet work. I called Bruce a couple of times after he had provided the quote to inquire about the product he had shown us and also about any other possible discount he can provide. Bruce was very firm that he had already given me the best price possible( which is ok). After comparing against a few others I felt that doing business with this company would be good (even though they were not the lowest priced option). So I asked Bruce to come with the samples we had chosen so we can take one final look. Apparently Bruce had gone to our new home and seen that the tile was already been installed by someone else. I had asked him to actually come to my current home. Bruce seemed upset that i had given the tile work to someone else and he somehow misunderstood that i was trying to use him to get some samples, which was so totally not the case. He did not seem really interested in winning the business and so i asked him openly if he was really interested in doing business with me or not. To that he said only if i was not going to use him for getting samples (which was anyway not my intent). I told him that i haven't been finding him too interested in earning my business and asked openly if he was still interested in my job and he replied he was not interested in doing business with me and walked out. Just a very ridiculous experience from a service provider. Will never recommend this company (particularly Bruce) to anyone. I have never been treated this way by anyone wanting to earn my business.

This was a fantastic experience. I dealt with a man named Steve. He was the one who answered my initial phone call inquiring about an estimate. He was also the one who came to my home to do the free estimate. He was very informative during his visit. He explained the flooring process in detail and what I liked most was he gave me his opinion on the best products to use for our home and why (without pressuring me to buy). The competitor that I had gotten an estimate from seemed very uninterested in my questions and basically gave the answer of "Oh yea sure that will look nice" to anything I picked from the samples he brought. Steve gave the pros and cons of each material, laminate, tile, carpet, etc. What was even better was that the cost of the service was over $2,000 LESS than the competitor estimate, with a better product and more work to be done than originally planned. Customer service is key to the success of a business and it is a quality that Discount Floors' posses. I did not feel that a sale was being pushed on me. They were extremely easy to schedule with as well, which was huge help as my husband and I both work and go to school full time. The team that came in to do the tile was very professional, they were also very quick. The entire job was done from start to finish within four days. Steve regularly stopped by to see the progress being made and was extremely prompt in returning my phone calls when I did have questions. Steve did a final walk through of the finished product and took photos to show to others because of how beautiful the job turned out. My husband and I absolutely love our new tile floor. It is much more convenient to clean versus the carpet we had before (we have animals). I would recommend this company to anyone who is looking to have flooring done. This is the type of service and satisfaction that costumers should get with every business transaction made with any company, and I only wish more company's handled themselves the same way as Discount Floors.

Steve came to the house and showed me samples of carpet and tile and helped me pick the best choices. Steve is very friendly, helpful and polite. During the installation he showed up every day to check on the job. I had the tile installed on the diagonal which meant a lot of precision cutting and fitting to the area. Jose and a helper installed the tile and were polite and helpful. He suggested several small changes that made a difference in the finished look. Very helpful. They worked until 7 and 8 at night to get the job done in four days. Jose even installed a new water line from the wall to the toilet that I was going to have to call a plumber to repair. He went above and beyond his job to help me. The end result is beautiful. The next day the carpet was installed. Steve had suggested a lighter color than I originally wanted and he was right. The color goes perfectly with the tile. The carpet installers moved all my furniture carefully onto the new tile, removed all the old carpet and pad and cleaned the area then installed the new pad and carpet. They did an excellent job and I am very pleased with my new downstairs. I highly recommend this company and give it an AAA+.

I am very pleased with their work and the whole experience. They did a wonderful job and were very accommodating in scheduling around my busy schedule. Steve was very helpful in selecting the floors and was very understanding in what I wanted not what he wanted to sell. The installers were very professional and helpful. They did not hesitate in helping move some of the heavy furniture. Their work was excellent and I have gotten a lot of compliments.

Excellent experience. Bruce (the owner) was highly responsive. He arrived at the agreed time with samples in hand. After a complete description of choices he had the perfect carpet to match our travertine. The carpet was installed yesterday and the installers arrived on time and were extremely courteous and professional. They have been with the company for many years and they are true professionals. The whole experience has been great - they moved and replaced all of the heavy furniture and the carpet looks wonderful. Would highly recommend this company to anyone.

After receiving an estimate from Steve (who was extremely professional) we did our homework and found Discount Floors to be price competitive. We called Steve back and gave him the job. From start to finish Steve did everything he said he would, he always followed up with us and did everything he said he would do. We are very happy with the installation of our carpet and the personal touch Steve gave to us. Steve has even offered to help us find a carpet cleaning service when the time comes to have the carpet cleaned, that is true dedication to us his customer and to his company. We would definitely do business with Steve again and highly recommend him to others.
