+ 0 more200 feet of 2"gas line had to be buried from meter to heater 18 " deep. BK coordinated county/city permits, submitted plans, made drawings, and scheduled inspections. Friendly. Kept me informed every step of the way. Called ahead every day of the week long project to let me know when they would arrive. Much of the planning and initial site visits were done when I was out of town so it was especially important to me to have good communication. The trench had to go between many trees and plants...none were damaged by the big equipment! The project was delivered on time as promised. Junior was great to work with. He made sure the job was done. The other workers were friendly and careful as well. The folks at the office were informed of the work that was being done, what promised were made and the schedule. I will use BK for future plumbing needs.

+ -1 moreRight before my husband left for an extended trip the float valve on the toilet failed. Normally he would tackle the repair himself taking 3 hours to do the repair but that wasn't an option. Fortunately there was an Angie's List deal I was able to take advantage of with this provider. Owner Gery was extremely prompt, efficient and courteous with every step of the process. Juan came the next day and replaced the float and flapper in about 20 minutes. I would highly recommend these folks. Efficient and professional every step of the way.

Plumbing is not cheap, but you need to make it competitive ... you must shop. Those giving BK As are not shoppers.

I actually found out what the trouble was and fixed the leak myself about 6 hours after I bought the deal. I would buy a deal in the future since the communication from this provider is excellent. Gave them a call, they were able to get out and shut the water off first then, because of the age of the angle stops recommended replacing all of them. Provided a quote and did them all at once. Very friendly, reliable, and nice to work with. Highly recommend!

He was a good sport about the fact that my husband had already tried to do the work and left everything partly done, so Juan had to figure out what still needed to be done and sort through parts that had already been removed from packaging. He was done quickly and handled my inquisitive dogs with no problem. The service was cheerfully finished within hours of my booking the job on Angie's List. This is the second time BK Plumbing has been to my house, and I will be calling them for future needs related to plumbing! Highly recommend.

He snaked out the toilet and stated that part of our on going issue was that we needed a large flow setup in the tank as there was not enough water with the water conservation setup. He quoted 150.00 to provide the equipment and install. I thanked him for clearing the popsicle stick out of the toilet and stated we would replace the setup ourselves as the parts are 20.00 and it is an easy job. We did replace the equipment on our own and all was great; however even after that the toilet was running really slow. Called them back and he came back out that day and snaked again and it is better. No charge for the second snake.

This was the second time I had this company do work for us.

JUAN ASSESSED THE JOB, EXPLAINED THE RISKS, ACCEPTED MY DECISION NOT TO PURSUE THAT PARTICULAR REPAIR, AND SUGGESTED AN ALTERNATIVE WAY TO AVOID THE MINIMALLY LEAKING JOINT. HE THEN REPLACED THE FAUCET BIB, CLEANED THE MUD OFF HIS NICE SHOES, AND LEFT. NO PROBLEMS AT ALL. I'M PLEASED. HE DID SPEND A LOT OF TIME WITH THE ASSESSMENT, WHICH WAS FREE.
Description of Work: THEY DON'T DO HOURLY RATES, RATHER CHARGE BY THE JOB. THEY GIVE AN ESTIMATE BEFORE THEY START WORKING. JUAN CAME OUT, VERY NICE GUY. REPLACED AN OUTSIDE FAUCET BIB WITH ONE I'D PREVIOUSLY PURCHASED AT HARDWARE STORE. THAT WAS $48.00 PLUS TAX. THE WORK WAS ALL LABOR, I DON'T THINK LABOR IS SUPPOSED TO BE TAXABLE, BUT IT WASN'T WORTH SQUABBLING. ANOTHER JOB WAS THE MAIN REASON I CALLED B&K. ASSESSING THAT TOOK QUITE A WHILE, JUAN GOT MUDDY SHOES, AND STILL HANDLED IT GRACEFULLY. JUAN EXPLAINED THAT THERE WAS A LARGE RISK IN TRYING TO DO THE REPAIR. IT REQUIRES CHIPPING OUT CONCRETE AROUND A LEAKY PVC PIPE JOINT TO GET ENOUGH PIPE REVEALED THAT HE COULD CUT OFF THE LEAKING JOINT AND REPLACE IT. IF THE PVC GOT BROKEN, THE FIX WOULD REQUIRED MOVING THE SPA, JACKHAMMERING OUT THE CONCRETE BELOW TO GET AT THE PIPE, THEN REPLACING THE LEAKING JOINT. ONCE JUAN EXPLAINED THE POTENTIAL EXPENSE IF HE BROKE THE PVC CHIPPING OUT THE CONCRETE (POSSIBLY OVER $2,000) I DECIDED IT JUST WASN'T WORTH THE RISK TO REPAIR A PINHOLE LEAK. EVEN AFTER SPENDING ALL THAT TIME, JUAN WAS NOT AT ALL JUDGEMENTAL ABOUT MY DECIDING AGAINST THE WORK. HE SUGGESTED USING A CUTOFF VALVE, WHICH IS IN PLACE, AND ONLY TURNING IT ON WHEN IT WAS NECESSARY TO USE THE HOSE PIPE. WORKS FOR ME.

They wasted no time in assessing the problem and retrived the necessary supplies from their truck to fix the problem. They were working in extremely cramped quarters but maintained a good attitude throughout the repair. Both plumbers had excellent personalities and worked very good as a team. Their expertise was apparent as they made the necessary repairs. If I every have need for another plumber, I will definitely contact BK Plumbing & Bath. This was an excellent experience for us.

The BK Plumber arrived on time; looking very professional in BK uniform; had a plumber apprentice with him (likewise professional appearance). Both introduced themselves, reviewed what they were going to do, and set about efficiently doing their work. They completed the work in 30-35 minutes; reviewed their work and the functioning of the new shower head. They were thorough in their clean-up; thanked me for using BK and departed. In summary, from the office to the completed service, BK was professional, efficient, and provided service with courtesy and at a reasonable price. I shall change my Contact List to have BK as my plumber of choice for all future plumbing needs.

+ 0 moreThe water heater was upgraded from 30 to 40 gallon Bradford unit, installed new flex lines, hauled away old unit, and did it within a few hours. He installed a new tub spout. There was a leak in the bathroom pipe from a defective union. The plumber thought that this particular union was discontinued and that he would have to get a whole packet and get one off of it and charge me another $100 but he helped me identify one online at Ace Hardware for $10, I picked it up and then he put it in. Overall, he did a good job. Furthermore, they allowed me a down payment and billed me the rest interest free. I would recommend this company to my friends.
