Description of Work: My pool is not the blue that I wanted it to be. It is turquoise not Blue blue and they told me that it would cost 3 or 4,000 to get it changed. The color is not a good representation and the unground cleaning system is not up to standards our last Hayward cleaning system did a 1,000 times better than the very expensive in ground they said would work wonders.

Description of Work: I like the pump and motor they replaced, it's good quality. However, when I called a few weeks after the unit was installed with a general question, I was given a brush off and asked to make an appointment at $79/hour. Even though there is a 5 year warranty, you still have to pay to get someone out, and NO questions over the phone! I think that if you spend $1000 on something you should get some kind of follow up support.

Description of Work: I talked to them about putting in a pool, spa, and decking. I even gave them a plot plan for the new home I'm having built. three times I was told that they would get back to me with a design and pricing within a week. the last time was a month ago and I'm still waiting. I will be taking my business (approx. $90K) to another contractor who stays in touch and meet their commitments.

Description of Work: ENSTALLED NEW POOL AND DECK IN 2010 MAY HAVE COST MOORE THAN OTHERS BUT WELL WORTH IT TO BUILD RIGHT THE FIRST TIME. I WOULD RECOMMEND SHASTA POOL BUILDER IF YOU WANT IT DONE RIGHT.

Description of Work: Shasta came out to our house to bid on replastering our pool. They were ok, but they didn't show us other pools they had done so we could get a better idea on color (the contractor we selected, Barefoot Pools, did).

Description of Work: Moved into house and never had a pool, since they installed it I called them for someone to come out and show me what all the pipes and valves do. also a general check of the condition. I forget name of serviceman but he went over everything, showed me how to use and maintain. also checked pool and equipment and mentioned 2 gaskets are leaking. can tell by water squieting out when pump stopped. He said if I want I can call for repair but said since just a gasket, go buy one and put on myself. easy job and saved me $. will need pool drined and cleaned after summer so they will get the job. also considering changing the shallow end of pool.

Description of Work: I needed my pool heater replaced do to a pool service company vandel after i told them i no longer needed them. (Replaced them with someone more reliable) They came out and set up a time to replace my pool heater. They updated it to a more heat energy efficient unit and its cost me only 400.00 after my Home Owners insurance kicked in. Total value 1,800.00. It only tool about two hours total. Great Service!

 + -1 moreOUR POOL HAS A LIFETIME WARRANTY THROUGH SHASTA. WE PAY ONLY A $50 SERVICE FEE. THE TECHNICIAN DID SOME TROUBLESHOOTING AND QUICKLY LOCATED THE PROBLEMS AND CORRECTED THEM.
Description of Work: CHECKED SYSTEM PRESSURE. EMPTIED PUMP BASKET. EMPTIED AND UNCLOGGED IMPELLER. INSPECTED B/V INTERNALS. PULLED PUMP APART. IMPELLER WAS BROKEN SO IT GOT REPLACED. AERATOR PIPE WAS CLOGGED UP WITH POOL DECKING. TAPPED IT OUT AND INSTALLED NEW AERATOR NOZZLE.

 + -1 moreTHEY COMPLETED THE WORK AS NECESSARY. THEY DID HAVE TO COME BACK A SECOND TIME AFTER IT STOPPED WORKING AGAIN. THE SERVICE WINDOW IS KIND OF LONG, BUT THEY WILL DO WORK WHEN YOU'RE NOT HOME. CUSTOMER SERVICE PERSONNEL WERE NOT VERY FRIENDLY.

 + -1 moreSHASTA HAS SERVICED MY POOL FOR SEVERAL YEARS. THEY ARE ALWAYS ON TIME AND IF THEY HAVE TO RE-DO SOMETHING, THEY COME RIGHT BACK OUT. THERE WAS A LEAK AROUND THE TOP OF MY FILTER AND THEY FIRST TRIED TO FIX IT, BUT REPLACED THE VALVE WHEN IT DID NOT HOLD.
