We have been very happy with the building process of Shasta Pools. Candy Protz did an amazing job keeping the construction moving along quickly and keeping us informed the entire time. We love the finished pool, water feature, fire pit, and deck. I highly recommend Shasta if you are looking to build a new pool.

It was 7 weeks from contract signing until we broke ground, but there were some changes on our part and we won the July raffle first prize which was a Pentair ultra temp eat pump that will heat and cool the pool. So the building permit had to be resubmitted to show the heat pump. As soon as the hole was dug we had a crew here every work day and pool was complete in 3 weeks. Most of the work was done by Shasta's own crews. All workers were very professional and did great work. I would highly recommend Shasta.

They're just not very good on communication. They said they'll get a hold of me in email and they've never gotten back to me. We wanted it tweaked and the guy said okay. He said he'll fix it and email it to me. He never emailed and never called back. He was nice and he was responsive the first couple of times. Their company has a good reputation. They're a large company and that's why I figured they just don't have to impress their customers too much because they have enough of them. I don't like that. If they're not going to work hard to earn my business, then how are you going to work once I hand over my money.

Mat Weeks is awesome. He came to my house and within an hour had the entire pool designed and priced. Mat was very knowledgable and answered every question that I had. I must have texted/emailed him 40 times with questions/changes to the design. Every time he was great!! The pool is going to be built within 60 days. I will write another review on the build.

My wife scheduled for Shasta to come out and do a quote for pool and patio construction for our backyard. It was probably one of the worst experiences in the process that we have had to deal with so far out of 5 different pool companies. First the designer was more than an hour late for our scheduled meeting. Somehow his appointment schedule got mixed up. Next, he rambled on and on for 3 hours. We had 4 hours scheduled for his appointment so we could run errands in the afternoon, but obviously his tardiness put a damper on our afternoon plans . But I think the probably the final reason for not choosing Shasta was the designer never sent us an actual quote. We were given a verbal one. When we are trying to compare what each company offering, I set up spreadsheets so I can consolidate and make comparisons easier for us to make the decision. We were told we would see a quote maybe later that afternoon but next weds at the latest. We never heard back from them.

The company is really knowledgeable about their product. But we ended up using Presidential Pools. They told us what we need to know and they came with the design. They showed us the materials that they will use.

The service folks came out, replaced the gears, offered to sell me a brand new pool pump for $2000.00, I declined and that was the end of it. I was a bit miffed however when I went out some days later to clean the main filter and could not remove the previously removable top. I had to go to the pool store and purchase a tool to remove it. They had simply over-tightened the canister lid. The tool cost me $30, however my friend advised me that they do that to get a call out again. It makes me a little skittish to use Shasta again, but this is the second time I have used them and they have fixed my pop ups twice now. For $200.00 each time.

It has been good so far. They did good work. They were the ones that had put in the pool originally. We have had no complaints about it. We have updated and automated something. I didn't do a lot of shopping so it seemed reasonable when I looked at the price of the equipment if I just bought it online.

I'm just getting ready for the dig, but so far it's been a pleasure working with them. We have been through multiple bids and everyone is in the same price range, but Shasta offers the most high quality product and well structured process. I'm laying new patio on old concrete, putting new patio where rock was, replacing teal grass with artificial and digging a 85 linear foot pool with spa. The design was amazing from Shasta. I'm on a golf course lot with limited space and thy made great use of the space. Once the contract was signed, the wait for permits was brutal, but once that was through, things have started moving. I had my yard prepared for dig within two days after permits and have had multiple workers this week doing little things to keeping moving. The dig is tomorrow 6/12. I'm hoping the 30 days dig to swim is true and that my family will be in the pool by mid July. Shasta has been a pleasure to work with and has taken care if every question and issue.

Reserviced andreplumbed pool and spa. Pleased with the overall workmanship from Shasta. They were given tight timelines and completed the basic work on time. Biggest issues were after the contract was agreed upon and signed Shasta changed the price saying that even though the heater was listed in the quote they had forgotten to include it in the price. After negotiation they still only agreed to eat half the cost of THEIR error. Communication was frustrating with this company and although all staff that we met were knowledgable, we were disappointed that after knowing the date we needed the pool completed it took another week to come for a walk thru and explain our new system. Would use this company again as they have done the work and we may continue to build on the system they installed. Would I recommend someone else begin with this company: I would suggest only with caution and attention to every detail and constant continuous contact.

The sales person we met with (John) was very pleasant, and knowledgeable. There was no high pressure, we talked over options for the pool and landscaping and will be returning soon to meet with him to see the new plan. We will probably be using Shasta pools when we begin the process. The whole culture at this office was very different from what we saw at the other large pool building company.

Shasta Pools and Spas was a great company to work with during the construction of our pool. As in any construction project, problems may develop throughout the process. With Shasta, we experienced a professional response to any issue, and customer satisfaction their primary goal.

They were very responsive. Shasta had the design finished and the paperwork drawn up before I could blink an eye. I picked out pebble tec, tiles, etc. I also put down a $500.00 deposit that unfortunately was not refunded when I decided not to put in a pool but to purchase a new home instead. I did a lot of price comparison before deciding to relocate to a house with a pool and Shasta may have a great product but the cost was substantially higher than other pool companies.

We love them. We went to their showroom and we were able to take a loot at everything, the style, shape, color, and added features. They are very helpful and very knowledgeable. I was very comfortable with them. We just put in a basic pool and they were fine with that too. It went very smooth. I was really happy with the whole company and we are very pleased with our pool. we looked around and we really had a really fair price with that. They were very good.

my repairman went above and beyond the service call that I put in. great service and a fair price.

I called to get an estimate on some repairs to an existing pool that had been installed by Shasta Pools. I was told they did not do repairs. I asked for a recommendation as to who would do repairs and was told to google it. It turns out that, from what I have been told from other contractors, that Shasta contracts out all their work. I also have been told that the repairs that I was seeking was a common problem caused by a subcontractor that Shasta had used in the early 2000's. That Shasta had numerous complaints. All of what I was told may or may not be true. I am not the original owner of my pool and I was not seeking to get into a battle about what had happened but just wanted to hire someone to make the repairs. I felt that they were not interested in my business.

Our salesman Dave set the tone for the entire experience. He was very professional, knowledgeable and informative. We never felt pressured. The workman came on time and always performed the job they were scheduled to do. The office personnel were dedicated to keeping us informed and promptly informed us of any changes. Building a pool for the first time was a very good experience and we were absolutely delighted with the finished product. We had read some negative comments on this pool company and some good comments. We did our due diligence and asked many questions. We would highly recommend Shasta to anyone thinking of hiring a pool company.

So far, it has been good. They are easy to work with. The workers have been good.

It didn't happen. After waiting around we were called and said he would be an hour and a half late. After waiting nearly 2 hrs after that phone calls we called not Shasta and he indicated he was just leaving. I feel that if they can't be on time for a simple appt how can they be on time with any of the work they may be doing. Unimpressed and actually quite rude.....awful first impression.

Shasta started with our yard from scratch, a total blank canvas. It was a bumpy start, with the sales people not getting back to us right away with estimates, etc. However, then when our sales person took over, he was very helpful in planning the design and layout. We agreed on design, layout and went to thier store and picked out materials, made payment schedule and signed the contract. Construction was smooth for the most part. And done pretty quickly. Everyone was very nice. Our experience was very good. However there are only a few reasons that I did not give them an A. 1. We were dealing with so many different people from the begining to the end of the process. It would have really been nice to have one person oversee from begining to end that knew everything, would call with updates and could answer questions. 2. We were under the impression that we were to receive a remote control for our equipment, however we ended up having to pay an additional $700 for one. Not entirely Shasta's fault, it was a miscommunication. 3. We have recently had a tile that has come off, and they were supposed to be out in April to fix it. We have yet to see them. I know this is a sub-contractor that they work with, so that is probably the issue. I would reccomend them.

The workmanship was beautiful. The service was very good. My only complaint is that their responsiveness since the job has not been great.

This was one of my best overall home remodeling experiences. Everyone at Shasta was excellent from the designer (Keith) to the coordinator (Jesus) to the project quality manager (Roger). Roger and Jesus would always return my calls with any questions on the same day and Roger was really terrific at assisting throughout the process, proactively resolving any mistakes along the way before I even noticed or asked. The workmanship quality was excellent. We have a few hazy spots on the stone that we may have fixed with the warranty, but it is much better than what we saw from other pool companies at model homes (with dark stone). A pool is a big investment and Shasta knows how to built them -- they don't cut corners. This really was a great experience and we love our pool!

From start to finish, Shasta has listened to my needs and wants and has given a fair price for their work. I have checked out their rating personally with other people who have used Shasta and they all gave them an and quot;Aand quot; rating. Looking forward to seeing our pool built.

Shasta was one of three pool companies that I contacted for quotes for a remodel of my pool. The sales staff was slow to respond and did not pay attention to my needs; there were many attempts at upselling. It took four visits and about as many weeks before I received my initial quote, and it was almost 20% higher than the next closest and over 30% higher than the best quote. I did not go with Shasta for my pool remodel.

I just moved into a new home with a new pool, my first. Nothing was labeled and the pool company the builder used had gone out of business. Shasta sent one of their technicians to check that the system was set up properly and working, as well as to give me an orientation on how it all works. They called the morning of the service to give me a window when their tech would arrive. He showed up well inside that window and spent nearly an hour with me and the pool. First, he checked out that all the drains, skimmers, returns, and pop-ups were working properly in the pool. He did the same for the spa and found that the water flow was throttled back too much for the spa heater to work correctly. After he fixed that, everything worked properly. He then took me through what all the valves and pumps do, showing me the various options for how the pool and spa can be set up. Finally, he labelled all the pipes and valves, making it very easy to remember all that he had shown me. He was very thorough. While Shasta also provides pool service and maintenance, the technician did not ever try to make a hard sell. He mentioned the maintenance service and said if I wanted it, I should call them.
