We attempted to install GFCI outlets in the kitchen and ended up in way over our heads and made an utter mess of the electrical in our kitchen, knocking out all of our appliances in the process. I found Bob on Angie's List and called him. He didn't judge us our make us feel bad about trying to do the work ourselves. After telling him the problem, he said he could be there in about an hour even though he was headed in another direction (on a Saturday at around 3 pm). He arrived within the hour and went to work. In a short time he had new GFCI outlets installed, our electrical working and all of our appliances functioning again. He was very professional and courteous and his rate was extremely reasonable given the fact that it was a last minute call on a Saturday afternoon. I wouldn't hesitate to call Bob again if I have any other electrical issues (I won't be trying them myself anymore!). I highly recommend Bob's Electric!!

Bob did a great job, went above & beyond! We had some code changes required by the local village when we purchased our home last year. Bob not only knocked out the list in 1 day but called the village inspector & worked to understand what was necessary & what was "padding" (I'm sure others know how an inspector can just "find things" to make a list grow quickly). to the list. Because Bob only did what the village had said he saved us hundreds of dollars.Bob was honest, timely & efficient. We are grateful that we took others advise about him, and would recommend him to all other Angie's List participants without hesitation. PS - He even crawled up into our attic to make sure our ceiling fan bracket was "up to code" - I'm sure that wasn't fun, but he did it as part of his service.... Thanks Bob's Electric !!!!

Honestly, this man is the nicest man you'll ever meet. He's very good at his job, he's wonderfully friendly and HONEST! I have had a few electricians in my home through the years and now I'll never hire anyone other than Bob!

Bob is comfortable to work with. He easily fielded all my questions in a manner in which I could understand. The work was completed to my satisfaction and price was right.

Bob showed up promptly to begin work. He was very professional about his work and brought the transfer switch and all of the wiring and stuff needed for the work. He was the only one working and needed some help to get the wires out from the basement and to the deck. He knew what he was doing and completed the work. Everything was done correctly and I would certainly recommend him to anyone that needed electrical work.

Extremely well. WIthin 2 mins of submitting request via AL website, received return call to set up the appointment for the afternoon, but was able to squeeze us in during morning shift. Communicated very well all issues, problems and possible fixes. Clean up was spotless. Highly recommended.

I made initial contact with Bob via Angie's List email link. Unlike other providers with whom I've attempted to contact via Angie's email, he responded very quickly (and well within the commitment time listed on the email link). While the work needed was urgent (needed before we could replace a water heater that was dripping), it was not immediate. However, Bob was proactive in assessing the time-criticality of the work. He then discussed his schedule for the day (he was in the middle of another job) and we tentatively scheduled for later in the day. At the same time, he advised me that the job he was working on had a number of possible issues and he might be delayed. When this job extended, he called and advised of his delay. He called again at 7pm asking if I still wanted to meet that night. I indicated yes, and he advised me due to his current location, he would arrive approximately 9pm. He also called when he was about five minutes away and arrived shortly after. On arrival, he introduced himself and presented his card. He then said "let's go" and we went to the basement to survey the site. He listened carefully as I explained to him what we needed and also gave some insight on what I thought were problems (e.g., a single circuit at the breaker box for sump pump and other needs). Bob then presented all options and recommendations to me. These included a recommendation to split the sump pump outlet to its own circuit, and a recommendation to run two circuits to the new outlet so the water heater could be on a dedicated line. His rationale was that the difference in cost between one or two new circuits to the same location was minimal and that separate circuits would give us flexibility for other usage (like the treadmill he saw close by). He also provided thoughts regarding where to place the outlet and but then said "just let me know where you want it." Based on the time, Bob and I agreed to defer the actual work until the next day, and he worked around some schedule constraints I had with an offer to start at 7am. He arrived promptly and got to work, and finished within two hours. He explained in detail what he had done from breaker box to outlet, and demonstrated that each outlet he had worked on was working in conjunction with its labeled breaker. The basement was left in a condition where you couldn't even tell he had been there. We then discussed some additional future work like a whole house surge protector and he again provided good information including various options. This will be our next project (and it will be with Bob).

Bob came out the very next day. The problem was definitely perplexing; with his advanced circuit tracking device he determined there were actually 3 circuits with current on the common! It took a few hours to track down the source of the problem (a timer switch for external lights, that apparently went out during a lightning storm; and a loose wiring connection in that outlet box). Ultimately he fully fixed the problem, and finished installing the light I had started. I know I got a bargain based on the amount of time he spent. He is a good and honest man, and a skilled electrician. He also recommended a whole-house surge protector which I will be looking into. I'll definitely call him when I have electrician needs in the future.

Bob came out first and provide a quote. The other electricians also came out and provided quotes as well but my husband and I clicked better with Bob. One company in particular quote was so high I still cannot believe it as it was 220% higher than the other quotes including Bob's Electric. Bob was on time, thorough, very professional, cleaned up after himself and provided recommendations on the current job and future jobs for maintenance. Bob also offered and honored a discount for jobs over $750 which was very nice. This was not an easy job but Bob sure made it look easy. I would highly recommend him to anyone!! - L. Alexander

It took him an hour and a half to replace the outlet, rewire the interior outlet, and install the plastic box on the exterior outlet. When he rewired the interior outlet he asked what the switch was for and I said the recessed lights over the kitchen sink. When he threw the switch, the lights did not come on. He had rewired them wrong. Cost me $225.00 for an hour and a half which I thought was exorbitant ($150/hour)

Bob came out on time as he called and confirmed with me. He went down stairs and right to work. He was finished in about 3 to 4 hours. He checked the circuits and spoke with me as he cleaned up. I paid him on the spot for the great job. I would recommend Bob to anyone and I do. He has done work for me before and for some of my friends. He is an honest, trustworthy contractor. I would have no problem giving him the keys to the house if we couldn't be there for him to work. There are not to many contractors who really care about customer satisfaction and great service, but he's one. He is our electrician for life.

I loved them. It is an owner run company so you deal with the owner the whole time. He made sure the material was in order and he came on time ready to work. He was a nice, all around easy going guy. He knows his electrical. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone.
