Bob is my Hero....I had a ceiling fan that my friends son had installed several years go. One night the fan fell, I turned to find it hanging by it wires from my vaulted ceiling. Fans spinning and swaying. I turned off the power to it called Bob and he can over that evening to fix it. And he did fix it. He said he never had seen such a thing before. He came because he cared about his clients safety.

He came in and he was just really good. He called me on time and came out the next day. I had all ready purchased the fan and he put it together and put it up. I did not have the right switch for it, he had one in his truck that he did not charge me for. My husband got the switch I wanted and finished the job. He did a really good job and was a really nice guy. It looks perfect.

Bob's electric was on time as stated, He brought his son to help out, both were professional, friendly and personable. He gave an honest evaluation of the process and explained some of the problems with my kitchen wiring. After doing an excellent job on my Home Theater Circuit, he offered to fix the issue with my kitchen by adding an additional circuit. He was very inexpensive in doing the additional work and it was done quickly and professionally. I would definitely will be using their services again as I upgrade the lighting in my house. Highly recommend.

So far, everything is fine.

I needed an outlet installed in my basement for a new water heater that uses electric start for the pilot. My old heater was already broken and was told by the installers I needed an outlet that was within 10 ft of the unit before they could do the installation of the new one. So with no hot water and already being 4 pm on a Friday, I called Bob's Electric and was able to get next day service. He came out when he said he would and did a great job and his price was right. I was then able to schedule the water tank to be installed without having any further problems.

It went very well. They were prompt and good.

Bob was very pleasant to work with--and when he says a time, expect him promptly! We needed advice on switching out old electrical panel and he gave us honest answers. His prices were very affordable and his work was neatly done. Bob showed us the light!

Good work done in a few hours for each visit. The thermostats appear to be working well for one month now. The initial estimate was $75/hr. but when it was time to pay an extra $40/hr was required because he "had to give his son something." I'd suggest getting a quote in writing, as this left me with a not-so-great feeling.

Bob and his son were on time, very professional, and kept working until the job was done. They had given me a quote ahead of time and stuck to it even though it seemed to me that it took much longer than they anticipated. They helped me understand, before they began, what type of damage to the drywall would result in certain types of lighting changes. This was extremely considerate of my needs and time to complete the job. They were friendly and also helped me with taking off wheels off a piece of furniture. I felt very comfortable with them in my house --polite, not one thing out of place, or any bit of garbage was left. I would hire them again in a heartbeat. I had them give me several other quotes for lighting needs.I'm sure they'll be back here in the summer to help me with the bigger job of redoing my inside lighting. THANK YOU!!!

Work was done in professional manner and Bob was very accommodating. I called in late evening and he was at job site 7.30AM next morning as promised. Price was right and will use him again.

Bob and son did a great job of replacing 4 very old, out-dated lights. They were prompt, and did a great job of putting the new fixtures together as well as installing them. I will use them again.

Bob and son arrived at approximately 9:30 AM and completed the project around 4:30 PM. I provide Bob with my layout for the can lighting system which he reviewed. Bob followed up with some questions and then proposed several layout recommendations which I ended up accepting. Overall the project turned out great.

Bob quoted me a price and despite that it took longer than he expected - he stuck to the price. Bob was extremely professional and very friendly. I wanted the light to be at the very center of an oval table. Bob was more exact than I expected and even had the equipment to measure it exactly. I was impressed! I would definitely recommend Bob to everyone. It was a pleasure to have Bob in my home and I enjoyed his company. I will definitely call Bob again.

Bob contacted me hours within my requesting a quote for the job and came out that day (or the next) to walk through the work and provide a quote. The day of the job both Bob and his son arrived on time and got to work...a couple runs to get parts and at the end of the job all the work was completed and at the price of the quote. And my wife loves the flood light out back! Both were friendly and professional and I would use them in the future.

How did it go overall? Lets put it this way, as long as Bob is in business I will not call a different electrician!

Bob has experience and a thorough knowledge of the local electric codes. Installation was smooth, there were no significant problems, and cleanup was throrough. Considering the work involved, I was satisified with the charges for the service. Bob is a very nice man and it was a pleasure making his aquaintance.

We had agreed to meet on a Saturday. I was waiting for him on Saturday about a half hour after he was supposed to be here. He explained his current customer had extra work and he was stuck on a job, so we rescheduled. He did come out on the other appointment. I showed him the work I needed done and he got right to work and said it would cost $150. He had all the parts and tools with him on the truck. The masonry was interfering with one of the outlets but he got it to work and it wasn't a problem. The wiring in the back was an issue and he had to check the outlet in the kitchen behind it. He got that to work as well. He noticed a faceplate in the kitchen that wasn't flush and he asked if I wanted him to look at it. Within a minute, he found that a screw had broken off and said it was egregiously bad that the installer left it like that. We talked for a while and he was very pleasant. For all of that work, he charged me $153.

Bob did a great job on a complex difficul t p roject.

I had Bob come out to install outlets inside and outside of my horse barn than fix a flood light. He was at my place on time and ready to work. He went through what we were doing and made sure we were both on the same page. The team of father and son has been great, they were very friendly, clean, had no nails left on the floor, which would have been dangerous with the horses around, and they cleaned after they were done. They worked fast, diligently, and asked questions to make sure I was good with what they were doing. I was pleased with the job that was done and will have them back out to do more work in a few weeks. Also Bob accommodated my very busy schedule and worked on Saturday, which was much appreciated. I highly recommend this team to anyone who needs electrical work done.

Bob was able to give me a realistic estimate over the phone to route a 220 line up the laundry room. And when he came over to complete the job, he realized that our box was almost full, which required additional work, but he was able to perform the work, quickly, efficiently, and at a reasonable cost. To add, Bob came by in the morning, just after a big storm, where power lines were out and trees were down. I would have understood, considering, if he could keep his appointment. However, he came through! I was very happy with the work, thanks Bob!

Bob was prompt and honest. The job took even less time than I anticipated. He is clearly extremely knowlegable about his trade and he offered different options at different price points, explaining that all were safe and acceptable. He was very responsive and easy to work with. I cannot recommend Bob highly enough!

Repeat of above: We just moved into the are two weeks ago. I had used Angie's List before in Michigan. I was going to give it a shot now that I needed an electrician in Illinois.I called Bob's Electric that morning about getting a light fan replaced in our family room. He was able to be there that same day around 4:00 - 5:00He was there on time. Looked at the job, got his tools and had it finished in a couple hours. We found out that we had a bad switch that was causing the fan not to work properly. We were replacing the fan with a light fan and I'm sure he would have discovered the bad switch early on if it weren't for the fact that we were changing out the whole unit. He didn't have the special switch that controlled the light dimmer and fan speeds so he replaced it with one he had on him. That switch allowed us to turn the fan and light on and off. He told me he'd be glad to come back to install a new switch or he could walk my husband through the procedure if necessary. I paid him and he was on his way to another job.He's very knowledgable and you feel confident with his expertise. An important factor for my husband and me is the comfort level I experience when I have workers here. That is usually the first thing that dictates if we will use a person again. I would use him again in a heartbeat. He will now be our first call for any electrical needs at our home.The next day I picked up a new switch and my husband replaced it in 20 minutes. Works great.
