Description of Work: The only glitch was the estimate for the job (new furnace). It turned out he gave us the incorrect quote the first time. When we decided to have the work done we found out the estimate was incorrect and they revised it upward.

Description of Work: Analyzed problem with evaporative cooler. Found board had burned up. Determined that old board was obsolete and not available anymore, but proposed alternative. We decided to wait to repair until next Spring since Evap Cooler usefulness period was nearly over for this year.

Best by Farr showed up exactly on-time in professional trucks. Upon accessing the attice, the motor control unit for the damper mechanisms was located. Some of the wires were missing or had come loose on the control system. The wires were replaced and the dampers were checked to see if they worked properly. Additionally, a former company had improperly installed a switching device in my gas furnace. The device was to control the furnace ignition systems to prevent explosions when the furnace started up automaticlly.The device had been wired in the opposite way by Sedona Sheet Metal company when they supposedly fixed the furnace last January, 2012 at a cost of over $800 and would have started a fire or explosion. The device on the furnace was fixed properly and re-installed by Best by Farr.
Description of Work: The automatic damper controls for my A/C system and evaporative cooler system were not working. The automatic damper doors were not opening and closing when one system was on while the other system was off. Both systems use the same duct work in the attic but each system uses different outlets for the respective cooling effect. The problem was located and fixed promptly.

Description of Work: This is the second time we have used Best by Farr. The first experience was very satisfying when they came to clean the dryer duct and seal a leak on the roof for the dryer vent. This time, they serviced the AC, replacing 2 capacitors and checking the refrigerant level. Both times, they acted quickly, completely and professionally. I think the charges were fair, and the personnel competent. I will use them and recommend them to others.

They were great guys and even cleaned the heater !!!
Description of Work: We had no heat. The heater would not come on. They replaced the ignitor and tested for safe and proper operation.They stayed to make sure the heater worked, and found it needed an adjustment. Sure glad they waited for it to go through a cycle.

Jon Farr (Owner) has excellent customer service skills and is very professional and friendly. He explains everything in detail so you understand and he lets you know exactly how much the repair will cost before he begins. He replaced the fan motor in our Rudd A/C unit in 1 1/2 hrs (including going to get the new fan motor). This is our second time dealing with Jon Farr and we will continue to do so for all of our heating/cooling needs.
Description of Work: A/C unit stopped working. He diagnosed problem which was fan motor seized up. He went and got the replacement motor which was in stock here in Cottonwood and replaced the motor and we had our A/C working again.
