Good. They were efificient and got it working again

Best by Farr was able to inspect the air conditioning unit within a day or so of my call. They called me at my home in Ohio to report the results of the inspection and that the control board was defective. Since the unit was approximately 15 years old, they were concerned about being able to find a replacement. Fortunately, they were able to locate a replacement and installed it as soon as it was received. I was kept informed during the entire process and also provided with an estimate of the cost of the repair. I was very pleased with Best by Farr's promptness and professionalism and would highly recommend them.

Not good they over charge If the if you give them any grief about anything

First time I called to make an appointment, no one returned the message. Second time, I scheduled. Dustin was the tech. I was told $89 for visit plus $5 trip charge. Our house is 1.7 miles from the business so a bit surprised at trip charge. Dustin came and inspected, did not clean the a/c and claimed that cleaning was entirely separate from "checking" the system. He said it was not a good time to turn on the heater so did not address the issues I called about in the first place. I already knew the system "checked" out from my home inspection. I expected at minimum that the issues I brought up would be addressed and since the tech didn't want to turn on the furnace (which the home inspector did to find out the issues) would have thought the tech would have at least cleaned the a/c as every other hvac provider I've used in many houses I've had over nearly 35 years. When I said I was disappointed the work I requested wasn't done and no cleaning, he said to call the office to tell them. I'm writing this review instead. Really disappointed. Would love to hear from Best By Farr LL about why this service call went this way. Given my experience, I'm uncertain if I would use them again.

Best by Farr is best by a longshot! We were having a terrible issue with our 2 ½ year old heat pump – the coils were freezing up and we were suffering in the heat. The company that had originally installed the unit had moved out of town and we were in trouble. We called Best by Farr on the recommendation of the manufacturer of our unit and we were thrilled with the results. The fine folks at Best by Farr did not give up till they found and solved our issues and those issues were obscure and very hard to diagnose. What a fine company. We could not recommended them more highly. We are very fortunate to have them here in Sedona and are so pleased to be able to spread the word. This kind of dedication, integrity, and honesty - displayed by every person we dealt with - is a rare and wonderful thing. If only every company were this good!

continued... Well, not so fast. It heated the house up to 70, but then shut off and stayed off. Eric didn't leave us until he was sure the problem was solved. Remember he's working with a furnace that is quite over-powered for our small home. The last idea he had was to change the furnace setting from medium up to high (which he said should keep it from shutting off.) With the new control panel, adjusting this beast to our high altitude, changing the power setting, opening all the vents, it is FINALLY happy. Our home has been a steady 70 degrees for five hours now with no shutting down! Eric had a difficult situation on his hands. Obviously it was a mistake by the previous owners to have an over-powered furnace installed, but he worked with it way above and beyond in my opinion, until it cooperated! This man is the kind of person you want to have help in an emergency! He won't quit until everything is o.k.

They sent three qualified personnel who checked all plumbing & electrical lines and switches in the house and attic. They were quite knowledgeable and found the evap cooler unit had been disconnected by previous owner in a way that needed further rework by a qualified electrician before they could proceed with any hookup. What is admirable is they know their business and they know what is outside their areas of expertise and didn't try to sell me some services beyond their specialties. Because they could not do the work that was estimated in a previous visit they were nice enough to waive the charge for this visit. They really ARE the best! They are very honest and trustworthy and I will definitely call them again for all my heating cooling and plumbing work.

It's not that I really like them, they were the first ones to respond and had the low bid. They did a pretty good job on replacing the swamp cooler. It was embedded in the roof and they extended the duct work and did a pretty nice job. It started leaking in the spring but when I called them they came out and fixed it free of charge.

They did not provide the specific service I needed - but referred me to a competitor that did! Very professional and have a very good reputation in this area

We liked the workers a lot, they were knowledgeable and professional. The one thing that they advertise that didn't happen was the follow-up. Their advertising claims they will finish the job from beginning to end and that the customer will not have to hire any additional contractors. We will have to hire painters to paint the new conduit and large tubing required. It looks pretty bad...

I called to see about upgrading an old heating system in a poorly insulated building in Sedona. The folks at Best By Farr not only were aware of the heating system I was talking about (they had serviced it in the past), but they walked me through various heating options. When we realized that they couldn't provide a solution for us that was economically feasible for the old building we needed to heat, they recommended other local businesses who might be able to help! In the end, they acted like good neighbors and helped us out without charging anything.

Dan was very prompt, called before he arrived, and did a great job. I have a dinosaur for a furnace/ac unit, and he had to tear into a real unusual set-up to get at the coils. It took time, but got the job done. And I really appreciated that he put booties over his shoes every time he came into my home. Excellent service here!

Tech showed up on the scheduled appointment time and was friendly, he went over the units and provided a price to service both the furnace and a/c unit. He did a nice job went over the service after he completed it and the units are working fine.

John and Nick did all of this for me without my presence as I was in the middle of a move here from the midwest. We did all our communication by phone. Now that I am here, I have already used them again to move my compressor on the patio into a corner. They did a very neat job, wrapping the lines and securing them well. I was not able to be here for that either. They left both the patio and the house clean as a whistle.

The provider refused to give a breakdown of costs for the work requested.

All work, as described above, was done professionally and took only 1 1/2 hours to complete. Tech arrived exactly on-time, dressed in clean, company uniform. The price was fair and according to standard priceing for this work. Licensed company. Tech, Preston, was also very experienced with brand of furnaces he repaired in the I highly recommend Best By Farr.

Because the water, from the pipe, went down into the hot water heater, we may have to replace the unit. Chris is handling all of the paperwork for our Lenox warranty to help make this process as painless as possible.

They installed the pads too short. I think they knew what they were doing. They charged me a bunch of money for something I did not need and I will not use them again in the future.

Best by Farr technicians arrived on-time with the new damper control units at 8 A.M. Upon entering the attice, the broken damper control unit was removed and a new unit installed. The system was checked to make certain it was working correctly. The technician, Oz, drew a diagram for me to better understand what work had been performed. The entire work took a little over an hour. I was told to operate the A/C and Evaporative dual system and the technician would contact me in a few days to make certain everything was O.K. The technician, Oz, followed through on his promise and he did call me back three days later to check that everything was working properly. Everything was working great. A very fair bill was discussed which I immediately approved. Once I receive the bill, I will gladly pay promptly. In a world where many companies could care less about customer satisfaction, and fair prices - most would rather gouge a customer instead of looking for a repeat customer - I can highly recommend Best by Farr services for their excellent service, caring attitude and very fair prices. It was a pleasant experience.
