+ -1 moreWe switched to The Ranch Pool Service due to problems with our previous pool service company and the good reviews we'd read. We have been with them around a year now and they are great! Pool has never been in better shape. Issues / problems are addressed immediately. They have made a number of repairs, including replacing our very old filter when it died. They are not looking to get you to do work that doesn't need to be done. Rather they help you save money by advising you what should be done right away and what can wait, and what products to use, etc.. Very reachable and available. Wish every company provided this level of service, reliability, availability.

+ -1 moreThe algae problem was bad, so it took more than one treatment to get rid of it, but Ranch Pool Service kept after it until it was gone, and the pool water was sparkling blue again.
Description of Work: I initially called Ranch Pool Service because of a terrible algae problem and also needed a regular pool service. They eliminated the algae problem; the pool has never looked better! I never worry about the pool anymore because I know it is in excellent hands.

These services require extra charges for labor and materials, but they are done competently and in quick order.

+ -1 moreScott came out to give a quote on installing a pool heater, repairing the filter and providing regular monthly service. He is personable, knowledgeable and practical. His prices were very competitive and his demeanor/approach inspired confidence in he and his team. We knew he would do a good job. We emailed him the morning of 10/9 to engage him to replace the filter and provide regular service and before the end of the day we had a new filter. We will also have him install a pool heater. Highly recommend Scott and The Ranch Pool Service.

Description of Work: Cleaned up my pool which was in very bad shape. My last pool person left me high and dry. I called Ranch and they came out immediately and assessed the situation and cleaned my pool. We agreed on a price for monthly service and they were coming out to maintain the pool. Unfortunately, it was a little too far for the tech to travel and we are now trying to find a new pool service company. The owner, however, did call me to discuss the situation and has promised to maintain my pool until I find another company. I liked the owner and wish it had worked out. I would recommend them as long as you are in their area of service.

+ -1 moreTwo workers were here for about 2 hours and did the necessary cleaning and replaced filter parts to bring the filter system to "like new" condition and operation. Scott the owner had called the day before and asked me a lot of questions which enabled his workers to have any necessay parts with them so they would be able to make the repairs the same day and not have to pick up the parts and return another day. We are most likely going to use The Ranch Pool Service again for any filter cleaning or repairs needed for our pool in the future.

I contacted 3 other highly-rated pool companies on Angie's List but Scott Hall, the owner of The Ranch Pool Service, was the quickest to respond to my call, and also offered me the best pricing on all pool services. So The Ranch Pool Service is now my pool contractor! I highly recommend The Ranch Pool Service to anyone looking for a pool service company in the Scottsdale/ Shea corridor vicinity.

+ -1 moreScott hall came out and in 15 minutes had the pump filter and robot working. Both water features are working and I can leave knowing all are in good hands.
Description of Work: My prior pool service company created a multitude of problems for me. The couldn't get the robot, or cleaner, to work. They sold me a four-wheel replacement and that didn't work. They said it was defective and replaced it. Still didn't work. Now it was a pump calibration issue. They re-calibrated. Now nothing was working. Meanwhile the front water feature was losing prime and the back water feature was tripping the GFI. I told them we were done and came here to find a replacement. Time was short since we go back to the Midwest on the 27th.

+ -1 moreAfter draining my pool to do some much needed caulking, I realized that my pool pebbletek had staining. I also had company coming in two days and needed the pool back in service. I called The Ranch Pool Service and spoke to Scott Hall. He jumped through hoops to arrange his schedule so I could get my pool back in service by the time my company arrive. Some of the stains were very difficult to remove, but Scott stuck to the job until it was perfect. My pool has never looked better. Scott was a pleasure to work with and I recommend him highly for any of the pool services he offers.

+ -1 moreIt went very well. Scott showed up when he said that he would, worked very efficiently, was honest and fair. I will now also be using him for all maintenance on the pool. I would also highly recommend him to others. By the way, I was out of state when I needed his services, and felt that he was very fair with me, and did not attempt to mislead or overcharge me. That means a lot to me to do business with people of integrity.
Description of Work: Drained, acid washed and cleaned / scrubbed pool, refilled pool and added chemicals. Replaced pump, replumbed as needed, replaced pop-ups, and trouble-shot pool.

We saw an immediate dramatic improvement in attention to details, properly adjusting the chemical balance in the pool. The the team evaluated problems with the check valves, and the spa filter. These problems were immediately addressed, and the pool now functions correctly. Wear every happy with Scott and his team.

+ -1 moreIt was a painful, expensive solution, but our pool was in knowledgeable, professional hands. It was with great relief to have the pool returned to a crystal clean state.
Description of Work: For the first time in 10 years, our pool became seriously green. The algae was out of control and the pool developed a cloudy haze at one point where it was difficult to see the bottom of the pool. The water was also full of dirt and debris. We have weekly pool service by another Scottsdale pool service company for many years. When we contacted our current company, the owner and the weekly clean employee came out and the owner threw up his hands. He blamed the green pool on the DE stainless steel filter. The filter was not leaking. The pressure was hanging around 35 to 40. We were stunned that they left the property with our pool still green, without diagnosing what happened, inspecting the pool filtration system, and treating. The owner's assessment was that the only way to solve the green pool was to replace the DE filter and backwash valve for over $1000. Scott Hall responded to my call within 24 hours and was out treating the pool on his day of arrival. He discovered that the filter's grids were 100% clogged; it appeared the grids hadn't been cleaned in a couple years. He cleaned the grids, diagnosed a couple weak grids, replaced the grids with a fresh pack, backwashed the system, and treated the pool with chlorine. He returned for 2 further chemical treatrments and cleaned the grids 2 more times to push the DE through the system and out. In addition, I backwashed the system every so often and added more pool shock.

He worked me into his schedule that day. The heater was a dinosaur and he recommended installing a new one. I needed it a.s.a.p. and he ordered and expedited delivery of the new heater. It arrived as planned and he immediately installed it so my real estate deal could close on time. He was always polite and professional and listened and responded to my requests. I received great customer service and I will use this company in the future. Thank you for a job well done.
