Moore's Pool Service

Bill was puctual and timely in providing an estimate, provided me with recommendations and options. Once decided, he returned the following day, made the repairs without any issue and informed me when the work was completed. I appricated the prompt attention to the matter in addition to recommnedaions for future service. I will use their services in the future and will also recommend them to others.

Very professional. Showed up as expected and performed service well. Also had several suggestions for running pool at different times to save cost of electicity. Would definitely use again.

It went amazingly well. He came on Wed. June 4th. Looked over the pool, motor and filter. Checked the updated wiring to be sure it was done correctly. Mr Moore gave us two options as to size/cost of updating the filter. replacing the old PVC pipes and levers. Returned on Friday AM with all needed materials . Installed the new filter, removed the old one and installed new piping to replace the old crumbling PVC pipes. Checked over all water features in the pool to assure free flow of water, ease of back washing the pool and set the timer to run the pool during our low rates time. Gave us the guarantee that he would come back at any time that we required help with the motor or the pool. He was done in less than two hours. Left the site clean and in good shape. When we required pool service on a weekly basis or a new motor, Mr. Moore will be called.

The short version: Great people who are knowledgeable, try to do their best and make things right for the customer. Wish they were more thorough. Long version! First experience was really good. James came out & sealed leaks around the pump. Asked for two valves on side of pool for the self cleaning system to be replaced as they had broken off but it didn't happen. Talked to James about getting an acid wash hoping the valves could be replaced when we did the wash. Called back to get the acid wash & cracks fixed & they referred me to another person for the cracks. I was asked to contact the guy & work out a schedule between MPS & the plaster contractor which was a little unusual but I went ahead and found a time that worked for both to come out to do the work. Prior to the arranged date, Moore's Pool Service wasn't able to make it out so they rescheduled with each other. Might have been easier for them to coordinate with each other the first time. The pool crack guy came out on the scheduled date needing the pool drained but it wasn't when he got there - the pump inserted by MPS wasn't placed in the deep part of the pool. We had to reschedule again & we waited 4-5 days with the pool empty to get the cracks sealed & the acid wash. I was told this wait wouldn't hurt the pool. The crack guy sealed the cracks & MPS acid washed the pool. I noticed a lot of dirt in the bottom of the pool as it was refiling - not sure if it should have dirt as I thought it would be clean after an acid wash. Also the side wall valves for the in floor cleaning system still were not replaced. The pool was filled & we started the pump. It worked well on initial start up but later in the week I noticed that the pool was still dirty & the pump was now running dry - not good. Everything was working prior to the cleaning/repair. I was able to start it manually by adding water to the pump, starting it, shutting it down & adding more water - repeating until the pump primed & started to pull water. I also noticed a small leak by the filter. I called Bill & he suggested I try a few things to see if I could get it going. I replaced filter cartridges & tried resealing/tightening everything down. While doing this, I broke a plug at the bottom of my pump. It took about a week for the new plug to arrive. I installed the plug which got me back to where I started. The pump still wouldn't start automatically on its own - I still needed to prime it daily so I called Bill. James came out a few days later & rebuilt a valve at the back end of the pump which got the pump going again. James checked out the leak by the filter & looked to get the parts for the valves on the side of the pool. We found it wasn't economical to fix the leak by the filter & that the valves on the side of the pool are no longer in production. It took roughly two months for everything to work/get figured out from the date we started the acid wash. Not getting the pool dialed in/pump running after the acid wash for a month & a half was frustrating but I know that sometimes things get old & fall apart. We now have found more cracks in the paster which I'm guessing came from the pool not having water for those days. Had things gone smoothly from the acid wash to restart, I'm guessing that the pump valve rebuild would have been unnecessary & the new cracks most likely wouldn't be there. Maybe just bad luck on my part. Again, very nice people, customer service oriented & I would recommend. They usually make it to me within a week & the pool & equipment are working fine when they leave. They get back with me quickly & give me good information to base my decisions on. I would recommend them.

Mr. Moore provided a suggestion over the phone that I might have something stuck in my pump motor propeller and sure enough there was a PALM frawn in there and once I cleared it out my Kreepy Krauly took off and is running great. Thanks for the phone support and a easy fix.

They are pretty good. I called them again by the way to do some other stuff. They did not give me a time they were going to come they said this week but they do not give me a time. I have to give them a call today to see if they are going to come. I have used them before. They were okay. It did not even take him an hour. Had very little material involved. They did good work. Once they called me and I knew they were coming. They were here pretty quick.

Our pool equipment exploded with water shooting straight up. After we turned off the power, I went to Angie's List to look for a pool guy. We found a really good guy in Bill Moore. He came over the next morning and took care of everything. This was such a relief because the temperature was getting into the 100 degree range. That pool had no chance to turn green. Bill also came back the next week to make sure everything was still running the way it should. We experienced first hand why he has so many positive reviews.

We had previously contracted Sun Devil Pool Mart dba Perfect Swim to do various repairs on our pool and spa. It was a disaster, do not use them ever! I contacted Moore's pool service for help with my situation. Wow what a difference! Everybody from the owner to the techs are great.. Super service and great value. I will recommend them to all my friends and family. Also cudos to Woody's pool service. He was contracted by Moore's to do some work with our spa. The service was excellent. They came when they said they would and they were quick with the work. The price was reasonable. The people were pleasant and they got the job done.

We went with the company based on Angie's list. The company trains and uses independent contractors to service pools in outlying communities. The contractor (Revive Pool, James Moran). We were happy with our previous provider, however, that provider did not have the relationships with other service providers that Moore Pool appeared to have. The independent contractor did show up within the promised window to examine our pool and quote a price. Once the service started, we noticed that he would spend on average 10 minutes putting chemicals in our pool, skimming the surface, and emptying pool vac and skimmer baskets. The previous service (10.00 cheaper per month) would spend 25 - 35 minutes per visit testing the water, skimming the surface, vaccuming the pool bottom, and brushing the sides. Prior to Moore's thaking over, we never had an algae problem in the 9 years we have lived here. Five weeks after Moore's took over, our pool turned green due to algae growth. Our contractor showed up yesterday and looked at the pool. Dumped shock treatment in the pool, turned the vaccum on and bypassed the timer. He did not knock on our door to discuss the situation, and left (another 10 - 12 minute visit). I called today, and asked him what his plans were to fix it, Other than saying he would show up tomorrow to look at it, he had no plan. Prior to calling the contractor, I had the water analyzed, and when I informed him of the results, he started blaming the previous service provider, stating he never checked the water thoroughly before taking over. I received a call from Bill Moore after that, and he said thay could come out next week to test the water, but not before. When I challenged Mr. Moore concerning the contractor's lack of focus, he accused me of lying. When I told him that I worked out of the home, and used a clock to record when the contractor showed up, and when he left, Mr. Moore stated he would send me a final bill and was terminating our relationship. All Iwas looking for was a solution to get the algae problem fixed, and I got yelled at, and accused of lying. My recommendation: steer clear of this company, they obviously don't need new business.

Bill was awesome! Very professional and gave us great tips on how to get our pool into shape for the season. Rebuilt our backwash valve, which had been leaking, allowing air into the system. He also took apart our nasty, cruddy DE filter, cleaned it, and reassembled it in record time, all while teaching us how to do it in case we ever needed to do it ourselves. He gave us info on upgrading to a newer filter, but wasn't pushy about trying to get us to buy anything. The cost of the service was stellar! Overall, we were very pleased. We'll be using Moore's again in the future when we are ready for a new pump and filter. Awesome service!

very responsive. Answered all my questions. able to do the work very quickly. offered best warranty. One thing I noticed was the spray paying of the pipes was less than a professoinal job, but does look better than not spray painted. The only other thing I'd say is the written quote didn't specify the brand of pool pump and I had thought it would be a different one. He explained his reasoning when i asked about it, and based upon Angie List reviews and his professional experience I deferred to his expertise since I am certainly not an expert. But I would have liked to have known that up front. Also, the quote had a concrete pad in it -- he didn't put down a new one, and didn't charge me for one, but I think I would have liked to have a new concrete pad to make the area look better for the cost that was on the quote. But I do appreciate his conscientiousness about avoiding needless upcharging. The work appears to be fantastic. Clearly explained the process and how to work the equipment. HIghly pleased with my decision and will definitely recommend him!!!

This is at least the 3rd time that I have used Moore's pool service. Bill is always punctual, provides a thorough analysis of the situation and options, is patient, reasonably priced and extremely honest. Very highly recommended! In this instance, I realized I had a home warranty after Bill's estimate and used it.

Called ahead of time, came when expected, quickly determined problems, checked for other issues, found the torn basket, replaced and cleaned out the pipe.

Told Bill what happened, pump basket broken when trying to open and clean, and he suggested two options; one expensive and one not. I choose the not. His guy arrived on time, did the job, and we were charged exactly the amount promised. This is the second time we've used him and now he's our guy for all future pool issues.

I had tried to work with another person suggested to us by Sunwest Pool Deck. Although Sunwest did a nice job, the plumber they suggested took money up front and then never did the job. Sunwest did nothing to help me get the job done or recover my money. Moore's Pool Service Did what they said they would do, when they said they would do it, at a reasonable price. Can't ask for more than that!

Contacted Bill Moore on a Saturday. Had an email response by Sunday and he was out with an assistant on Monday to take a look at our impossible to keep clean pool. He quickly recommended a few upgrades to our system that I could install myself, saving me lots of time and effort. No charge for the consultation, which was much appreciated. We will definitely hire him when we get too busy to do our own pool cleaning/maintenance and/or when we need to replace the more complicated parts of our pool (pump, etc.). I highly recommend him to others who need an experienced hand to fix and/or maintain their pool. Thanks Bill!

Bill was very thorough in showing me the operation of the pool. We got the vacuum to work and I was educated in the maintenance of the pool. When I asked what I owe and he said it is no charge. He asked that I call him for any future pool repairs needs that I may have and sent me a follow up email so that I may contact him with any questions. I will have him fix my pool light when the temperature warms up. Thanks Bill! You have demonstrated that there are still businesses that understand the importance of building relationships with customers by providing the best service possible.

quick response, easy communication, trustworthy -- he came and checked on the work to be done the day I called. He was out the next day to make the repairs. He not only fixed things, but educated me along the process. Another great find on Angies' list. He is now "my pool guy" -- and I used to be one.

Turned out there were leaks in three places. James fixed the first two with the replacement of the PVC tubing. Three days later I noticed there was still a leak. Jason came over this time and installed seal kit. Again noticed the pump was still leaking underneath and Jason came over again and replaced what apparently was a defective seal that he had put in previously. Today it has been five days and no more leak. Both James and Jason did a great job. Jason came back a second time at no cost to me to make sure the job was done right. Both were professional and courteous throughout the three service calls. This company's owners and employees impressed me with their honesty and integriy by being willing to return at their own expense to reaccomplish the job a second time even though they did the job correctly the first time. I will call them again for any future pool service I need and recommend them to others.
