Description of Work: Larry and his team were excellent from the estimate to the installation of the hardwood floor. They replaced the carpeting in the master bedroom and office with hardwood floor. Larry's estimate for the timeframe, amount of wood needed, and other concerns were on target. We were forewarned that the concrete may need to be ground down to make it level, which was the case, and extra fee for that task. His team moved the heavy furniture and when finished they returned the furniture (also placed felt pads on each piece of furniture, which we provided). We are very pleased with the installation. There were minor issues that required them to return and they addressed those very quickly. The only negative we experienced was on a transition piece from tile to the new hardwood; it was not quite level and they said there was nothing they could do about it. The team was courteous, friendly, and accommodating. We feel confident to refer this company to others.

Description of Work: After several conversations of expectations on color of stain desired the people applying the stain missed the mark - not even close. We had some issues with the baseboards and risers being marked up by the machines, but they did correct those issues on a re-visit. Larry, the owner of the company was responsive in doing what he could to make us happy, however, we were ready to move into the house and nothing could be done in the time frame available to correct the color of the stain used.

+ 0 moreThe experience and the finished product were fabulous. Larry remembered me from the first install we did and was interested in the upgrades I had planned. He accommodated my schedule to provide a quote (coming out on a Saturday). The job was deferred a couple times due to other delays on the project, Larry adjusted and accommodated to get everything done on schedule, without any shortcuts to the finished product. Larry and his son Bobby laid the entire floor in one day, which included fitting around an island, a kitchen nook and a fireplace hearth. He pays great attention to details, like ensuring his cuts end perfectly and will fit with the planned trim. Larry has a great eye for getting exactly the color stain you want - custom mixing to get just the right shade. He was able to exactly match the custom stain for the new kitchen/family room floor to the same he put in 6 years ago in my front living room and dining room. I have used Midwest Hardwood Floor twice to install engineered hardwood floors and then finish them in place. They are immaculate in their work and their cleanup. They are professional, courteous and nice. Larry works to ensure his customers are happy with the finished product. I am ecstatic about my floors - I would recommend anyone considering hardwood floors to call Larry first.
Description of Work: This was the second installation Larry and his team did for me. Larry installed engineered hardwood floor ~ 400 sq ft, stained and sealed it to match the same floor he previously installed. Larry originally quoted installing baseboard that I would provide and paint. Due to some issues on my end, Larry picked up the baseboard, picked up the paint and painted the baseboard. Larry also buffed and recoated the original floor he installed 6 years ago to make sure everything matched and blended. Larry covered all aspects of the job - starting with grinding the concrete floor for high spots, moving furniture. Even coming back to move furniture back into my living room.
