Larry provided a competitive quote and ensured the project was completed on time and to my satisfaction. Bobby and helpers, through their equipment, plastic barriers, and careful attention, limited the spread of dust, which can be a problem when sanding down wood floors. Bobby made sure all of the boards I marked were replaced. He also worked with me in a test area to ensure I was comfortable with the finish color. I had similar work done in the back half of the home about 10 years ago. The side-by-side comparison is remarkable - Midwest Flooring's work is clearly superior. Excellent quality and good value (the quote was the final price).

We hired Larry to replace some water damaged hardwood to match our existing hardwood flooring and refinish our family room and kitchen hardwood floors. At the outset Larry said they would not be done until we were happy and he meant it. There were challenges in finding a wood to match but his perseverance made it happen. They kept us informed on what to expect, scheduled the job at a time that worked for us and were prompt. They hung plastic to protect other areas from dust and left the work area clean at the end of each day. Although the job had challenges in matching the wood and scheduling because of COVID, we are very pleased with the outcome and the pleasant experience with Larry and his crew. We would highly recommend Midwest Hardwood.

Larry and the crew were outstanding. These are just good people at heart. Larry, his son and one more hired hand made our dream flooring project come true. I had already known Larry for about 2 years as he was one of my client at the bank. He once said to me that he would do my floors in my new home. I shrugged it off, but just over 2 years later, he made good on his word and made it happen with hardly any prep time. He is such a great guy and knew that this entire process was new to me, that he met me at Home Depot to help with the order of needs and supplies. The process was easy and smooth and Larry kept in constant contact with the entire removal of carpet, prep work and installation. When I did the final walk through, I was "floored." Larry and his family made my family's dream come true and I would definitely hire him again and recommend him to anyone who has hardwood or wood laminate needs! Bravo Larry!

It went very well! Love our new looking floors. Larry was true to his word on what he said they would do and about the entire process of sanding and refinishing our wood floors. His crew (son Bobby, & Mario) used a huge vacuum while sanding that left us amazed at how little dust was left behind. They did hand sanding where the machinery wouldn't be able to do the job adequately. Excellent communication early in the process about how long it would take and updating us on their progress. We appreciated the advice on followup floor care. We are very happy with the results!! Fair price for high quality work.

Wow did Midwest Flooring do an amazing job. I was dreading having all the furniture moved and people going in and out of the house for days as I work from home. I am happy to say the team came in and did everything in one day! They did a fantastic job and left everything in place and very clean. They even went above and beyond by helping clean the baseboards before putting back and making sure any gaps around permanent book cases were completely flawless. All in one day - I couldn't believe it. Would definitely hire again and again. - Dan and family.

Living and dining rooms plus after seeing their work I had new solid hickory flooring installed in my new home. Also updated the baseboards. Absolutely beautiful!! It was a good investment. They were much more reasonable than other flooring companies. Larry and his son and their small crew do a great job and are so nice to work with, a real pleasure.

He does the work every day of the job with helpers. Locates the wood we want at a reasonable cost. He shows up when he is suppose to, does the job he says and cleans up.

They were great. They're a smaller family owned business. They were so trustworthy, I had no issue leaving them in the house. They were respectful of my house and made sure not to damage anything during the work. There were no issues at all.

We have about 2000 sq ft of natural wood flooring throughout our home. Due to wear and tear, several needed to be replaced, and luckily the previous homeowner let extras in our storage area. Larry came and gave me an estimate and told me to mark the boards that I wanted replaced. Since it was a small job, Larry was able to work me in the next day, and had his crew at my house on schedule. They were fast and efficient did a great job containing the dust and cleaning up afterwards. My flooring looks new again!

Larry from Midwest Hardwood Flooring was very easy to work with. He completed the work on schedule and for the amount that was allocated by the insurance company. He was able to remove all of the cupping that caused by the water damage and the finish looks great. The only concern we have is with the stain color. The floors are made from a Red Cherrywood which has a tendency to darken over time. Larry used a lighter colored stain to compensate for this but it doesn't currently match the stairway banister. When I asked Larry if it would eventually match he said it would and he even signed the final contract indicating that he would refinish the floor if it doesn't match in about 6 months. You won’t find many contractors today that will stand behind their work at that level.

A top notch company. Larry, the owner, was very responsive and professional and had an outstanding crew that was very skilled in what they do. The wood floors were glued onto concrete. I have a beehive fire place in the living room and the installer made such precise cuts around the base that no trim was needed. It looks great. The living room is sunken with two very wide steps. I preferred a full tread and riser, as opposed to the bull nose with the flooring used as tread, but the manufacturer didn't make one and I was unable to find one that matched. Larry was able to get the same type of wood unfinished, stain it, and did an excellent job of matching the color to the flooring. Price was competitive with the other estimates I received. This company does quality work and I would highly recommend them.

The work went smooth and the company was excellent. I wish they did more than hardwood floors because I would like them to do my whole kitchen. Excellent communication and they have a desire to please the customer. This was one of the best experiences in using outside contractors we have ever had. Great Job........

They did an entire good job for us. That was really+ good. Everything was great. He was actually the cheapest one. I am going to use again as soon as possible.

Larry, the owner of Midwest Hardwood Floors, was great to work with! He gave us the cheapest of three bids, but still did a fine job. They arrived when they said they would each day; moved our furniture out for us; let us know what they were doing as they did it; took extra time when some warped boards slowed down the process, and then needed to re-coat the floor a second time; moved the furniture back; and did some later touch up on a few rough spots. The guys who work for Larry were great, too. All in all, a positive experience.
