Description of Work: They scheduled 2 times and didn't show up or call. Once they were here they did a good job. I know they were very busy installing Christmas lights but I rated them lower because of their attention to dates and time.

Description of Work: Put up christmas lights. It was a new company so i'm not sure how they made angies list. Nice owner. Good price compared to others. Festive group. Would have liked a design plan ahead of time. A bit on the fly. Put up their own lights and took them down so that was very helpful. No holes or damage. Would use them again.

Description of Work: They hung our outdoor Christmas lights. We wanted to follow the roofline, but the lights turned out to be mini size. We decided to do it using a double strand. It turned out very well,but it took all the 400 feet to do it. Doing our roofline was our main plan anyway, so we were satisfied.

Description of Work: First they refused to come out as too far from their area. When I told them that we would do an additional USD750 to USD900 on lights they were willing to come out.Changed several times the date and then the arrival time. Finally showed up late at night, couldn't finish; they offered to come back I agreed to let them do more work. Again they showed up very late in the evening after changing their arrival time; then they informed me that they didn't have the right lights to finish the main house and suggested decorating some trees etc. Didn't make sense - they still hadn't done the "Angie's listing" job as they were to decorate one of my guesthouses. I was sick of them and told them to leave, my wife went out and told them to do the guest house; they agreed. 20 minutes later they texted they were done and had left. When I went outside to check I realized they ONLY wrapped some lights around 2 cacti in front of the guesthouse. USD149,-- for a couple of strings out Xmas lights around 2 cacti - really???? Very poor performance. |

Description of Work: I bought this service to hang Christmas lights through an Angie's list special. Tom, the provider, was very enthusiastic and friendly. He suggested different things to do and had already come by my home prior to our first conversation. We scheduled a time for him to come to hang the lights, but he didn't show up. He called the next day to apologize and we rescheduled for the next week. He called the day before he was to come again to give me a time. He did not make it at that time either, but did come later on that day to do the job. We used some of my lights and some of his. Originally, I thought he said we could use my lights on the house (incurring an extra fee) and he could use the 400 sq. ft. of lights included in the special to wrap one or two trees. They managed to get the lights on the house, but given the late hour and misunderstanding over what we were going to do, we just called it even. (No lights on trees and no additional fee) They are supposed to come back within the next couple of weeks to take lights down. Throughout all interactions, Tom and his crew were very nice and professional. Since this is their first year to do this, I think they might have been a little overwhelmed, but it was obvious they wanted to do a good job. I will definitely be willing to use them in the future.

Description of Work: First, we waited for several weeks beyond the promised date to actually have the lights installed. Second, it was implied that the "real value" of the work was greater than the agreed-to Angie's List price, so we paid $50 extra for the work. Third, the lights stopped working during a storm shortly after they were installed, and began to fall down. When we called to have the problem corrected, and asked to substitute one string of lights for another, we were charged an additional $100 for "the change". We will definitely not use this service again!

Description of Work: I purchased the Angie's list special for $149. This was to buy 400 feet of lighting. Tom Cooley the owner showed up on time to discuss the final bid for the entire home. Once there he prepared to install lights when I said no wait I want a final bid to do the entire house as I was clear that special would not do my entire house. That was a surprise as when we discussed him coming out it was to do a bid only. Anyway, once we clearly discussed the project he gave me a firm bid of $600 plus the original $149 that I paid. I have a 3500 square foot house that is 2 story with lights going around only the roofline,the garage and 2 view fences. So we shook hands said we had a deal and he was to come back around the first of December to complete the job. He asked if he could do the lighting that was already paid for so that he could close out the Angie's list, I said sure. That only included one tree trunk and 6 shrubs. No problem. I was excited to get the job done. Well the next day I receive an email that states he cannot do it for $750 but now needs $900 plus the $149 I already paid. This is ridiculous, A deal is a deal. He saw the entire job while he was out here and if that wasn't going to work should have said so then. I own a large business and believe me there are times I am sorry I bid what I do but my word counts and I do what I say I am going to do.
