I contacted the company and left a voicemail which was promptly returned. Josh came out, had a detailed look at the system and even changed some of the irrigation tips to see how this would improve the performance of the system. He left us with a detailed recommendation how to improve the system and also made us aware that our irrigation controller needs to be replaced as the manual and semi-automatic mode was no longer functioning. We scheduled a date for the works for which Josh and a colleague showed up on time. Before they got started they looked at the system once more and came up with an easier solution that required just switching some of the underground hose connections rather than putting in a third valve and an entire new loop. The pressure has significantly improved in our back yard and this fix saved us a good amount of money.

He was on time, quick, and very polite. Will use them again in the future!

I contacted Controlled Rain on the weekend leaving a message for them to return my call. First thing Monday morning they called and set up an initial appointment for the next day. Ken (the owner) came out and was extremely friendly, knowledgable and helpful. He gave us a quote on the spot and he stuck to it when the work was completed (even though I think we added something additonal he wasn't planning on!) Scheduling was no problem, actually had to work around my being out of town - but they were very accomodating. Showed up with a great crew and got the job done quickly and professionally. I highly recommend Controlled Rain for all of your irrigation needs!

They were superior. Josh came out about 15 minutes early. He was pleasant and efficient. He went through everything with me and told me how to use the controller. I was very pleased and would definitely recommend them to anyone else in the area.

The tech (Josh) repaired the leak in no time, told me how to prevent it in the future, and didn't charge me full price because I had already dug up the line before he arrived. Fast service, very professional and friendly, with good advice, all at a more-than-reasonable price. Controlled Rain is not the first irrigation service I've used in Phoenix, but they will be the only one from now on. Highly recommended!

Over the 4th of July weekend, my lawn flooded due to a malfunction of the sprinkler system. I called my plumber who turned off the irrigation system and told me that I needed an irrigation specialist. I found Controlled Rain on Angie's List and sent them an email. The following day, which was the 4th of July, I got an email from Ken telling me that he was tied up with prior commitments on the 5th but could come out on the 6th. True to his word, he arrived at the appointed time and fixed the problem. He is very professional, honest and I will not hesitate to call him in the future when there is a problem.

Overall I was very happy with the job they did. I was happy with the quality of work, punctuality and price and everything. I thought their price was pretty fair. It was definitely a positive experience. I will use their services again in the future.

Justin made to two visits to our new home. The first was to repair the sprinkler valves. When he viewed what was installed and explained to us what could be done and what needed to be done (and why) it quickly became apparent we needed some additional work and decided to also correct some other shortcomings of the existing system. Justin scheduled his return visit. Completed all of the agreed upon work (and some additional tasks) in a timely manner and within budget.

I know why Controlled Rain has received some many favorable reports on Angie's List. We were very impressed with this company. They perform quality work and are very pleasant. They had come out for an estimate and the amount of money that they charged was exactly what they estimated. After doing the work, we realized that they had forgotten to add one of the sprinklers. When I called them about this, without hesitation they arranged to come back and complete the job. We are definitely planning on using this company again in the future. If anyone is having problems with their lawn irrigation system, this is definitely the company to use. By the way, we used our Angie's list coupon with this company.

The whole process was handled very well. Good communication and prompt on appointments. Budget was respected.

The work went well. He was able to complete the work in a few hours, and I was satified.

I researched irrigation contractors and received several estimates. Controlled Rain's estimate was about mid-range for my yard, which consists of two areas (front and back), and more than 70 emitters. I explained exactly what I wanted done and what my expectations were. Josh, who gave me the estimate, indicated that he and one other technician would perform the work if I awarded his company the job. While walking through my yard discussing the work to be done, Josh was extremely professional, knowledgeable and his demeanor elevated my comfort level. After considering all of the estimates and doing additional research, I selected Controlled Rain for the work. The work was completed in one day, as promised. At the completion of the work Josh walked me through the entire area explaining what was done and answering all questions that I had. Josh made certain that I knew he would personally and promptly handle any future questions, warranty work, etc. Several weeks later, while I was planting some new flowers and bushes, I had some questions about the drip lines that were previously installed by Controlled Rain. I contacted Josh by email and explained my questions. Josh immediately contacted me, answered my questions, and even indicated he would come to my home, if necessary, to personally explain in greater detail any issues that I had a concern about. His telephone explanation fully satisfied my question, but I was impressed by his enthusiasm and pride in standing behind his work. It became thoroughly clear that he valued me as a customer and wanted his work, on behalf of Controlled Rain, to be at the highest standards possible. I would, without reservation, hire Controlled Rain in the future. They are a superior contractor.

I found water shooting out of my sprinkler box in the back yard. It had flooded the yard and water was running down the street while I was at work. I shut off the water, and checked Angie's List for a good sprinkler repair person. I chose this company because they were highly recommended and not too far away. I sent an email requesting an estimate and was called the next morning with an appointment. Ken showed up right on time, and was VERY nice. He checked out my system and showed me the cracked valve. He gave me an estimate for the work and said he could do the work right away, if I wanted him to. His estimate was very reasonable so I told him to go ahead and fix it. He was done in no time, and told me to call if I had any further problems. I asked him for his card, and I will definitely call them again if I need any further repairs.

Controlled Rain was easy to work with and very accommodating. They showed up on time and were very capable! I will definitely used them again!

I talked to them on the phone, and they really seemed to know their stuff. When they showed up, they did not have the part since our backflow preventer was not a normal one. Thought he might have trouble getting it since there were quite a few back flow preventers that burst during the freak freeze. He told me that he would be back when he could get one. He had contacts in Omaha where he could get one if there wasn't one in Phoenix. About an hour later he called and said - "I stopped by a supplier and he had one, so I will head back over to your house and do the work now." In my mind great service. He had it fixed in no time, and actually checked out the rest of our irrigation as well, and made a couple of fixes that were minor and he did not charge extra for them. I found out he does low voltage lighting work also, so we have hired him to come back and do some work for us in this area as well. Overall, great supplier!

I had a serious leak in my irrigation system, so I called several highly-rated companies I found on Angie's List. Two of those companies never called me back, but this company called me back the next day, which was on a Sunday. They were fair and the technician gave me an overview of everything that needed to be done. He was able to fix three leaks within an hour. He let me know in the long run what he felt needed to be done as well. Overall, the experience went very well and I am satisfied with their services.

This company is the best. Incredibly responsive, great customer service, and concerned service providers. For some reason, my leaks only happen on weekends! But, they call me back, schedule quick repair appointments, show up as promised, and do good work at a fair price.

From my first contact to schedule an appointment for an estimate, to the final work, the entire end to end experience with all the employees was excellent. Technician Josh was assigned to provide an estimate for some repairs to a valve and controller on our drip irrigation system. He arrived on time, evaluated the worksite and the problems, then provided several alternatives for fixing the problems. He clearly explained the work that would be done, and the associated costs and labor for each option. Throughout the process he was professional, respectful, and courteous. I made my appointment for the repairs the following week, and once again Josh arrived on time, ready to get down to business. He finished the work sooner than he had expected, so he immediately informed me that the cost would be less than the original estimate due to the reduced time involved. Next he took the time to show me how to program the new controller, as well as what repairs he'd made to the valve mechanism. Following completion of the repairs, he tested the system for pressure, checked for any system leaks, performed a controller test, and made sure all the emitters were in working order, replacing a few that were damaged. He left the repair areas clean and in the order they were before he began work. I was very impressed with his knowledge and workmanship and am thrilled that I again have a working irrigation system. I will definitely use Controlled Rain when I plan to upgrade my system in the future, as well as for any future repairs. It's not often these days that you get to experience pride in workmanship anymore and this company definitely has it in the quality of work they do. I am very glad I hired them. Came to house to estimate the work to be done. Made appt and arrived on time one week later. Pleasant, polite and professional. Highly recommended.

Called the problem in to Kim (very congenial) at 11:00pm and Justin was here at 1:15pm. He replaced a faulty control solonoid and diaphram and explained the fix in detail. I was very satisfied with the companies responsiveness, efficiency and fair price. What more could a customer whose irrigation system wouldn't automaticaly shut off expect from a company? I highly recommend them.

We noticed an increase in our water bill and after some investigating on our part, discovered a sprinkler valve was leaking. With little knowledge or experience, we decided to hire an expert. I emailed the company on Sunday evening and they phoned me Monday morning. They were able to schedule an appointment for later that afternoon, giving me a window of 1-3. At 3:30, the tech still had not arrived so I phoned the company. The receptionist was very apologetic and contacted the tech to find out the hold-up. She also let me know that because of the delay, they would take an additional 5% off my bill (with an initial 10% Angie's List discount). When Justin arrived, he was very apologetic and got right to work. Fortunately it was an easy fix and he verified that everything was functioning normally. We settled the bill and he left. I was very surprised to receive a letter in the mail later that week again apologizing for the delays with my check enclosed. Customer service like this is VERY hard to find today and I was truly impressed with their business practice. I will definitely call them again if I have any issues with my irrigation system.

I had a leak somewhere in my sprinkler system but couldn't figure it out. They came out and replaced a value, which fixed the problem. Service was timely and the technician was friendly. They even came back out to adjust a sprinkler head for free.

Because I'm cheap I called a few different companies to get prices. These guys came in a little lower, and on top of that they were friendly, informative, and very responsive. After seeing their reviews on Angies List it was a no brainer, so I used them and they lived up to their billing. I will definitely use these guys from now on if I ever have an irrigation problem again at any of my rental properties.
