Ken was clear in his description of the problem, quoted me a price that I believed to be reasonable, and said he could do the work immediately. I am VERY pleased to have a provider of irrigation services in my local neighborhood area. The company is paperless which I like! I received a formal copy of the invoice in my email about an hour after the service. I believe in supporting family owned businesses like Controlled Rain. I called to have them come out and give me an estimate. He came and finished the work in a couple of hours and gave me a 10% Angie's List discount. I'm very satisfied with the work and would use them again.

We had a leak in our 15 year old sprinkler drip system. Controlled Rain only works on irrigation, and after meeting with other vendors, we contacted Controlled Rain because of a good recommendation from a friend. Josh, who is very personable and easy to talk to, came out for the free inspection, and the next day emailed us a very detailed quote explaining exactly what did and did not need to be done. We were very happy with the quote, but we could only schedule an appointment for the work several weeks out. It was worth waiting for an opening because Controlled Rain is very professional, uses very good parts such as the 1/2 inch swing pipe, and unlike other vendors, offers a 10 year warranty on the swing pipe, and a 5 year warranty on other parts installed. On the morning of the work, we saw Josh and the crew, but we could not be there to oversee the job. In the evening, looking at the yards, at first we weren't sure anything was done because everything was so neat! But after inspection, we could see all the work was completed and we were very happy and satisfied with the results. There were no leaks, and the grass and all the plants and shrubs were now being watered correctly. We highly recommend Controlled Rain.

The repair developed a leak a few minutes after Jason left. He came right back to repair the cut line (which we could not see). Left his cell number in case we had a problem over the weekend and will use in the future

Justin went through my system zone by zone looking for problems and looking at how the valves and timers had been rigged in the past. He gave me great advice on how my system was working and told me how much repairs would be based on what could go wrong. Excellent customer service.

The guy that came out was very friendly and knowledgeable. I actually shadowed him the whole time he was here just because I'm interested in the details of my system and I like to see if I can learn a new trick (I'm sure he loved that). He repaired the problem very quickly and the system is still working fine. He actually gave me a break on the price because things went so quickly (partially based on the fact that I had dug out the valves so he didn't have to). So, while I didn't use this company for any extensive work, I'm happy with the work they did on this small project and would definitely use them again.

Josh called before arriving on time. We discussed the problem of little pressure and separate sections of sprinklers going on when not supposed to...He said he would check the wiring first. He did that and then put on sprinklers. Still not working well. He then told me a new valve was needed...Once the work was done, he put on the system and the change was obvious...good pressure everywhere. I asked him to install four new sprinkler heads. I was given a 10% discount for using Angie's List. Josh was at my home for a little over an hour. I was very pleased with the manner in which this company does business.

Josh completed the estimate when I wasn't home and sent it to me on e-mail since I was travelling on business - a huge convenience to me! When I selected his company, the work was scheduled and completed on time and on budget. The yard was left in excellent condition when the job was done, both in lawn and rock areas. I would definitely use this company again.

This is an honest company. The owner was very pleasant to deal with and understood our older system and our desire to maintain it rather than replace something that didn?t need a full replacement at this time. The owner also gave us an update on the condition of our system and areas of vulnerability. He gave us the information we needed to make the decision to maintain vs replace. We are maintaining for now.

I was looking for a specific service and that's exactly what I got. I only wanted irrigation. Controlled Rain came out and tapped into my front yard drip line to extend into my back yard. They put water to all my new trees and bushes back there. They also installed 2 new zones, one for a veggie garden and then they installed sprinklers for a future lawn. Excellent work. Only slight negative is that I asked for an estimate that would be as high as they anticipated it could possibly be. My end price was exact to the dollar.

Last January Josh came out and fixed several emitters, installed some new ones and showed me how to program the timers. Everything worked fine all year. After a power surge this month, I could not get timer to work properly. Called the office, left message. call was promptly returned and scheduled for service call in a few days because of my schedule. Josh was very thorough and also explained again how to work timers. He also gave an estimated price for when we need to replace these old timers. Good job again!!

I had recently used another service to work on one of the three valves in my drip system and was not real happy with the service. When my other valve failed I looked to Angie's list. I saw the reviews for Controlled Rain I thought it would be better to give them a try. I was very happy with the initial contact call through the service. Once Josh arrived I was informed of the possible causes of the problem and provided two alternatives to solve the problem. I decided to go with the replacement. Josh also double checked the other valves and insured they were set to the correct pressure and timing. Everything is working fine now.

Josh from Controlled Rain came out to my house back in June 2012. He gave me an estimate to replace some valves and run a new drip line around the perimeter of my backyard. Josh and 1 other worker came out a week later, completed the work in a timely manner. I didn't know where I wanted to place my future plants. Josh suggested that I wait until fall to plant and he'll come back & install the emitters & drip heads (1/4 in tube that runs to the plants/trees) exactly where I want them to be. I finally called him January 2013 (6 months later) and made an appt for him to come back out and install the tubes. He came out just like he said he would (no charge), installed the tubes and drip heads and tested them all. One wasn't working as good as the others so he replaced it immediately. He is good with email communication and did what he said he would. Wish they were all like this! AAA+++ I would not use anyone else! They do irrigation and landscape lighting.
