As another reviewer noted, it is unclear who is supervising the job at the site when Dave is not there so it is important to be attentive to the work being done to ensure things go as planned. I had no major issues, as the main work was done very well, but one guy did spend half a day installing an irrigation system for an area where the grass had already been removed to make way for a crushed stone surface. He stopped when I noticed and explained what was wrong. Otherwise, I was constantly impressed by the care and quality of the work done. Dave's crew are adaptable and clearly focused on doing their best. When one particular approach to putting in the pavers along the edge of my pool did not look like it would work, they sought me out to propose another solution which actually ended up being better. The patio they installed is a raised area, going from about 6" to 18" above grade, they build this up by installing a brick wall then, to my surprise, finished it to match the stucco on my house. In digging the trench for the electrical line to the heat pump, they struck some of the low voltage and irrigation lines and ensured all of these were repaired and working before moving on. The enclosure for the heat pump was added to the patio job as work progressed but was done with the same care as everything else and exactly to my specifications. Dave was on site to direct and follow up on progress pretty much every day. His crew are not all fluent in English (but then I'm not fluent in Spanish either) but they still understood when I asked about something. It is not clear, as another reviewer noted, who is in charge when Dave is not there, but generally, the guy with the most English will direct the others although there does not appear to be any formal hierarchy. Bottom line - I don't care how Dave organizes his crew....the work gets done and the quality is excellent. Any time I called him and left a message, I got a call back within a couple of hours. Keep in mind, this guy does not have a call center (which you would have to pay for), he is the office. I'm impressed he manages to be responsive at all given that he is all over the valley doing work. I would definitely use them again and would not hesitate to recommend them.

Our project was very extensive, perhaps bigger than most projects Dave's company is hired for, but he and his crew handled it wonderfully. It included many different facets--pavers, stucco walls, lighting, landscaping, driveway improvements, garden beds, and a retaining wall. From the very beginning Dave was extremely professional, fair and honest in his approach to doing business. This was our first large exterior home improvement project, and Dave gave us lots of good advice and used his expertise to guide us away from decisions that we would have later regretted, either because they were impractical or would have been maintenance problems later on. His foreman Mack and all of the crew worked very hard and were highly skilled. Our project presented many challenges to Dave, Mack and their crew, and they resolved every one of them with creativity and expertise. One of the many things we appreciated about Dave was his responsiveness--when we called him with a question, he always either answered his cell phone right away, or called us right back. Even after the job was finished and Dave had been fully paid, when we asked him to follow up on an item related to the propane tanks for our fire pit, he not only resolved the issue quickly, but didn't even charge us for his time or the part he purchased for us. We would not hesitate to recommend Dave's company to our friends, and in fact, have already done so. Lastly, we will certainly hire Dave to come back for more projects around our house as they arise.

I called Dave around 230-3pm and he said he would come by the same day between 6-630pm to give me an estimate and I never heard from him after. I even left a message and he didn't respond to that. He didn't even bother to reschedule. Disappointed after all of the good reviews.

Dave has a very good eye for landscaping. He recommended that we use some of the dirt from the pool excavation to build berms in the front and side yard. That was an excellent recommendation that greatly enhanced the visual appeal of our yard. The people that he uses for hardscaping are excellent. My only complaint is that they put gallon drips on all the plants in the front and side regardless of the type of plant it was. Desert plants do not need that much water and several desert plants died.

Prompt on providing quote as requested. Completed job in one day. Minimum lead time to start work to meet my schedule. Responded to some problem leaks promptly and corrected. Best price. Was able to complete all requirements of scope of work.

Dave came out as scheduled, looked at area we wanted to cover. Discussed ideas, made suggestions. Gave us a quote before leaving. Work was excellent. We had an existing cement patio we wanted to cover and wanted to extend the paved area into the yard. Using a combination of regular pavers and the thinner ones, the entire area is an even surface. They finished the edges nicely. Cut pavers perfectly to fit around water pipe, patio posts and made a nice little planter around a plant. There was a section that was going to meet up with some existing curbing. They cut pavers to fit into this area and it looks great. No weird gaps, everything is filled in. There was another section that required removing some curbing, a light, sprinklers and drip lines. They cut the curbing and relocated everything else with no problems. The workmen were very professional and seemed nice. At one point, I happened to be in the back yard working on something and the workman took a minute to inform me that he was about to make a lot of noise and dust. I appreciated the warning - I went back in the house. :) They cleaned up everything when they were done.

Bought $99 special through Angies list. The crew arrived on time and did a through job of cleaning up the yard, trimming bushes and trees.

My yard looks awesome, best looking yard in the cul-de-sac. I went from being the worse to the best. It was past my expectations front and back and sides. I will be calling him back to add a deck to my back yard and some landscaping. So very happy with the work.

I had a delayed window of opportunity due to my profession; Dave did not stick to the "letter of the law" and insist on the coupon expiration date. For that, I am very grateful, impressed -- and it tells me important aspects of his character and business ethics. Dave and his crew showed up on time on the agreed-upon date and exceeded my expectations by not only performing the services well (including clean-up), but also taking on an extra task (leaf cleanup).

They did a good job. It was a big job for a good price. I would use them again.

I called and got to talk with Dave. He seemed really excited for the opportunity as we determined a date of the initial consultation. He arrived promptly. He asked questions and took measurements. I was looking forward to his designs as I read they're good with pavers and I wanted a good amount of pavers. So about an hour after arriving, Dave had finished his initial consultation with me and promised to give me a call with the design and estimates. A week later, I gave him a call to remind him of his promise of designs and an estimate. He said he appreciates the reminder but he did not forget and will get back to me. Well, that's where it ends. Apparently, he did NOT want to do my backyard landscaping. I just wasted my time but I will make sure others do not. Please don't waste you're time with this company.

We were new to the area and we had done nothing in the yard for 9 months. We saw the $99 deal for 3 hours of yard work and felt it would be a good way get started on the yard. Mac and two other men arrived on time, walked around the yard with me and started working right after the walk around. I really enjoyed Mac's sense of humor (he was a former NY police officer) and he took time to show me how to care for the various plants, palms and cacti in my yard. Mac also suggested what to focus on we were ready for additional landscape services. The deal was for 3 hours of work but Mac and his crew spent at least an hour and half working (4.5 man hours). When they were done, we walked around our property again and Mac and his crew trimmed a few more shrubs and trees. They cleaned up VERY well, taking brush and limbs we had cut weeks earlier. We liked that our yard looked trimmed and shaped as opposed to scalped and bald!

The final results were fantastic and it all went exactly as planned. Very professional work by their team and no surprises. I highly recommend them.

The workers worked very hard, but we felt there was no "crew chief" or leadership while the work was being done. The entire job took approximately 3-1/2 weeks. During this time, it was hard to communicate with the workers in English, since there was no supervisor, and there were several occasions when we had to give them instructions or make adjustments in their work. The owner, Dave, stopped by several times, but didn't stay long or let us know when he was here. If we had issues, we had to call him on the phone, and he took care of them. We did feel, though, that a few times, there were miscommunications between us, Dave, and the workers. When the travertine job was completed, we asked them to "seal" and "enhance" the travertine, which they did. But they did not apply the enhancer and sealer according to the label's instructions, which was a professional product, and they had to come back and use a "remover" to remove the excess and stop any shining that occurred. We tried to tell them how to apply it, and even showed them the label directions telling them how it was to be applied. In the end, it was applied wrong, and not wiped off within 5 mins. like the directions stated. They ended up having to come back with a "remover" which had to be applied, scrubbed, and then cleaned off again to get rid of the shine that was due to the sealer/enhancer product. This was a needless step which should have been avoided. Enhancers and sealers are their job, and they should know how to use them. The job did look okay when it was completed, but it is not perfect.....it is acceptable, and for the money we paid, we feel it is not worth hassling over. The job was stressful for us (both me and my wife) because we felt we could not just leave during the day, and had to be at home in case some decision needed to be made, since there was no oversight on the part of the contractor.

They arrived on time. I explained the problem. They turned on all three of the systems and checked for faulty wiring, units, and burned out bulbs. They replced all of the burned out bulbs and explained the watt of bulb that should be used. They replaced two units that were not functioning, then reset the system to run at the appropriate times.

We called them for estimates and requested various changes to the scope in order to bring the total into budget. BC was responsive and patient in responding.

Great job! Contractor is very busy so estimates come out a little slow but overall a solid job and our new go-to company for landscape & hardscape.

This is the second time I used them. They're quick and do accurate work. I give them an A across the board.

The over all experience went great! Dave is the owner and you deal with Dave. He showed up on time, gave me a written estimate and had his men in here to do exactly what I wanted and exactly what he said he would do. What I really liked about this company is that they did not drag their feet. He got in, did the job and got out. My patio came out great and my privacy wall came out great. His foreman,"Mack" was a pleasure to deal with and the same as the owner, Dave Dygert. His men all worked very hard. This is heavy back breaking work. My job came out beautiful!
