Description of Work: It went great. Cleaned and adjusted the door. At our request replaced the garage door opener and controls. We have another appointment for routine maintenance. We were very pleased.

Description of Work: We had used Advanced for repair work previously. Had a good opinion of them based on that service. So when we knew it was time to replace our garage door and opener, we called. Estimate appointment went fine - though I was surprised it was not a written estimate. Installation was to be done on a day when my wife would take off work to be home. Originally was told installs were 7-8 am starts. When 8:30 rolled around I called and was told we're on - but more likely 9:30-10am. My wife suspected something was amiss. Then she gets a call - truck problem. 1pm gets a call - we're not going to be able to do install today - I called and left VM for installer - letting him know Saturday would be only other time to do, no earlier than 10am and was requesting 3% credit card fee waiver for inconvenience. We've yet to receive a callback to confirm anything, so booked the job with another company.

Description of Work: Garage door cable was starting to fray. I called the service rep and made an appointment for the same day. The rep came out and did the work in a timely manner for what he said it would cost and was gone in about a half hour. I would use these guys again.

Description of Work: Joel came out within a few hours of my call and installed two new springs for my garage door. I explained to him that I could not get my van out of the garage and he made sure to come out asap. He was very professional and courteous and the price of $185.00 for two new springs was excellent. He adjusted my bent railing for free and removed an unnecessary lock fixture at no cost. My good friend down the street paid $480 for the same amount of work. We are very pleased with this company and with Angie's list for saving us a lot of money. Thank you!

Description of Work: Called Joel with Advanced Garage Door Service on Monday afternoon. He said he could be out to my house the next day between 9 - 11 a.m. The next day he never showed up. Considering the time of year, taking a morning to sit and wait for someone that never shows is very disheartening. I called him at 11:15 a.m. to see what was up. I had to leave a message. Joel finally called my back at noon and said that he had forgotten to write my call down the day before. When I asked when he could show up, he hesitated..."umm, hmm, I can probably have someone come out.... " what ever. I cancelled his service and give him an F for wasting a morning of my time durning the busy Christmas week. And I still have a broken garage door. BAD SERVICE! GRADE F!!!

Description of Work: Had several things wrong with our garage door including it not sealing well and being very noisy. Called Advanced Garage Door; he arrived on time, explained in language I could understand what was wrong with the door, his solutions to the problems and the costs. He completed the repairs quickly, replacing the springs and bottom seal and cleaned up after himself. The door has never operated this quietly before and seals to my satisfaction. I would definitely utilize him again.

Description of Work: I called today & they gave me an est. on phone, they came out today to repleace my spring on the garage door. They called to let me know they were going to be later than they thought (very good). Came out and fixed it with a 3 yr. warrenty. Very Happy.
