Description of Work: They changed the power line for my microwave / convection oven combo from 110V to 240V they installed a flood light + ran a new line to power it. Initially they thought they would have to run a new line and their original estimate was higher. I was very happy that they came up with a simpler, cleaner, and lower cost option. I plan to use their services in the future to install an additional outlet + add pendant lights in the kitchen.

Description of Work: Installed 4 can lights into kitchen ceiling that was being worked on so they didn't have to worry too much about cutting and making areas needing repairs. I have dual lights that turn the lighting on from either side of the kitchen which is helpful but they couldn't figure out how to reconnect them so they would shut of like they always did. They also were supposed to separate a plug from a light switch so the lamp/alarm clock don't turn off when you shut off the overhead light switch. They couldn't figure it out but were willing to sell me a $20 plug to put them into, that strangely wouldn't help either, just empty my pocket. The guys that came out were on the phone with the boss/ owner frequently and honestly it made my husband and I feel like they were helpers and looking to him for guidance all while we were paying for an electrician not someone helping or training. Sadly, I had several phone conversations with the owner, Ryan, and really thought I had created a new relationship with an electrician for all future needs because I do have other things that have to get done soon. Now I'm apprehensive about trusting electricians.

Description of Work: Ryan and his crew provided excellent service and conducted themselves in a professional manner. An example would be, they found evidence that two of my five ceiling fans were used and not new. They waited to show me, instead of just installing. Of course I took them back and got new ones. |Very happy with the recessed lighting & outside motion sensors as well. |The crew also kept noise to a minimum, allowing me to sleep. (I work nights.) That was a huge plus, I was hoping to not have to get a motel room!

Description of Work: I needed the work done sooner than they would be able to do it. I also didn't like the way he was talking to me. I know the difference between adjusting a face plate on an outlet and the actual box. Nothing I hate more than someone treating me like an idiot because I am a women. I am the one who deals with all the contractors and service providers, not my husband. So you will not being getting any of my business. Even after I explained it, I could tell he didn't believe me because he kept making comments about it. No thank you.

Description of Work: Found issue where circuit went down, added two GFI to kitchen.also tried to find origin of power to a light but it was a time consuming issue, so after trying a few things I decided it wasn't worth money at this time to track down origin of power source for little used light.

Description of Work: Ryan installed a new ceiling fan in the master bathroom. He also rewired 4 ceiling fans that the builder did not wire correctly, and adjusted a fan that was knocking. While he was in the attic, he also reconnected an exhaust fan run that had gotten disconnected. We also discussed options for under cabinet lighting in the kitchen-- as a project for another time. Ryan was friendly, personable and professional. He prices are very fair. He finished my projects and found favorable solutions when there were options, like how to put another switch on the wall without cutting a hole in the drywall. He also figured out how to adapt a ceiling fan with a light kit to work without the light. It was nice to be able to put my trust in Ryan to do the job and do it right. I plan to use Ryan for under cabinet lighting in the future. I would highly recommend Rio Electric to others.

Description of Work: We live out of state so we went through Angie's List to hire an electrician. Rio Electric worked with our property manager and renter and went through our rental property fixing small issues that we knew about and giving the place the once over so we would have a better understanding of the state of our electric. |We were very pleased with Rio Electric and would use them again.
